Kindred Stamps Simple Doodle Alpha Cards

Hi! I have some quick and easy cards to share with you using the new Kindred Stamps Doodle Uppercase and Doodle Lowercase stamp sets and Arteza Real Brush Pens!

I love the simple, whimsical design of the Doodle Alphabet sets! They are great for so many techniques! You can mix and match these large letters with smaller sentiments in your Kindred stash, stamp them on patterned paper and create your own stickers ... the ideas are endless! I decided to keep it simple today and do a watercolor emboss resist technique.

For my first card I decided to use the Doodle Uppercase stamp set just as it came and stamp the whole alphabet at once to create a background that covers my whole card. I taped the Doodle Uppercase stamp set onto the door of my MISTI and inked up the stamp with Versamark Ink and heat embossed the background with white embossing powder. I used three shades of pink Arteza Real Brush Pens to quickly add a wash of color to my background.

I decided to mix the Doodle Uppercase and Doodle Lowercase stamp sets on my second card. I used my MISTI to stamp the "hello" from the Doodle Uppercase stamp set and the "friend" from the Doodle Lowercase stamp set in the center of my card. I chose to blend a light green and blue marker together to create my background. This time the white embossing didn't pop as much as I wanted it to, so I went back in with a dark teal marker and colored in the letters.

I hope these cards have given you some Doodle Alpha inspiration! I'll see you soon!

Gina K Designs Sweet Stuff Stamp n' Stencil

Hi, there! If you love bright and happy products as much as I do then the new Electro-POP products from Rina K Designs and ThermOWeb are right up your ally! I'm using the Gina K Designs Sweet Stuff Stamp n Stencil along with the new Rina K Designs Glitz Glitter Gels today. Buckle up! It's going to be bright, happy, and glittery!

The Sweet Stuff stamp set is full of so many yummy images - donuts, ice cream, popsicles - oh my! I knew I would be using the Electro-POP inks, so I decided to go with the popsicle images because a bright and happy popsicle makes my heart dance! I stamped out the popsicle images with Potent Purple, Raging Red, Blaring blue, and Screamin' Green Electro-POP inks from Rina K Designs. I cut out each popsicle and sprayed the back of the Sweet Stuff stencil with Pixie Spray so that I could add glittery details to the popsicles. I used the new Rina K Designs Neon Glitz Glitter Gels. They pair so perfectly with her ink line! I used Hello Yellow on the purple popsicle, Screamin' Green on the red popsicle, Orange Glow on the blue popsicle, and Poppin' Pink Glitz Glitter Gel on the green popsicle and set them aside to dry for an hour or so.

I wanted to create a dark background so that the bright colors of the new Glitz Glitter Gels would really pop. I used the Sweet Stuff stencil and some Black Ice Deco Foil Metallix Gel with a Stencil Pal to add some metallic accents to the left half of my card base. I used a bit of Purple Tape to mask off the right side of the stencil so that the Metallix Gel would only be added through the polka dot pattern on the stencil. I stamped a sentiment from the Sweet Stuff stamp set with black ink on the right side of my card.

Once my popsicles were dry I added them to my card using iCraft 3D White Foam Squares and iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive. I hope you'll check out the new line of Electro-POP products from ThermOWeb! See you soon!

Mixing Stencils with Patterned Paper

Hey, there! The new Pink & Main release is full of FABULOUS products to mix and match together!

I used the new Petals Stencil to create my pretty two-toned background. I added some purple ink the the inward tip of each petal and then went over the whole stencil with some pink ink to create my two toned background. I kept the pink ink darker towards the center and lighter towards the outer edge for even more dimension.

You could easily make the Petals stenciled background the focal point of a card - but I decided to go with even more flowers! I used a piece of patterned paper from the Fantastic Florals 6x6 Paper Pad and trimmed around the design and backed it with some vellum before popping it up in the bottom right corner of the card with foam tape.

i finished off my card with a stamped sentiment from the Spring Sentiments stamp set die cut with one of the Sentiment Strip Dies and some gems. I hope you like the look of mixing the Petals Stencil with the Fantastic Florals paper! See you soon!

i-crafter Making Faces Die Set with Foil Details

Hello! I'm totally excited about today's card using the Making Faces die set from i-crafter! To be honest I didn't know exactly where I was going when I started putting my die cuts on my card and I totally love how it turned out!

I wanted to make my life easy, so before I die cut anything from the Making Faces die set I backed my cardstock with pieces of double sided adhesive. This way I don't have to fiddle with liquid glue - all of my die cuts are basically stickers! I die cut all of the faces, mustaches, beards, and bow ties from black cardstock and stuck them onto a white panel.

I used the die that would cut out the four different styles of glasses and die cut them from silver, blue, pink, and purple foil. I mixed and matched the pieces of the glasses and glued them on to each of the faces.

I finished off the card by scattering some black gems across the card and adding a stamped sentiment from the Amaze Me stamp set. I hope you love this card! Thanks for stopping by!

Kindred Stamps January 2020 Release Peek - Stay Strong

Hello hello hello! Welcome to the first Kindred Stamps release of the new year! Yay! The new release will be available on January 24th. I used the new Stay Strong stamp set with a couple of older stencils from Kindred Stamps to create this fun card!

The Stay Strong stamp set has all of my favorite Greek characters! I've been waiting for them to make their appearance! I stamped out each of them and colored them with alcohol markers and trimmed them out with scissors. I decided to just use the guy and girl characters to create a fun Valentine's Day card.

I wanted to create a double stenciled background for my characters. I first adhered the Chevron Stencil to my card with Pixie Spray and blended some light gray ink over the stencil keeping the color concentrated on the outer edges and light in the middle. I peeled away that stencil and added the Hearts and Dots stencil on top of my inked background and added Bubblegum Glitz Glitter Gel to the center of the card. I love the contrast of the two mediums together!

I added my images as well as a sentiment from the Stay Strong stamp set with foam tape and that finishes my card! And if you're missing a certain flying horse in the stamp set don't fear! There is a coordinating Stay Strong Digi Stamp! Thanks for stopping by! Remember you can shop the whole January 2020 release from Kindred Stamps on January 24th!

One Layer Window Scene Card

Hello! I have an easy one layer stenciled card using the Window Maker Stencil from Simon Hurley Create. today. This stencil makes it so easy to build quick little window scenes! And it will be available in February!

The Window Maker Stencil is part of the Simon Hurley Create. product line that was revealed at Creativation. It pairs perfectly with line of Simon Hurley Create. dye inks, too! I sprayed the back of the stencil with Pixie Spray and centered the main window part of the stencil on a piece of Stark White Cardstock and started blending away! i used Clear Skies for the window, Grrr! for the window panes, and Triple Berry and Crown Me for the shutters. I added in some Bee Sting as a shadow on the window pane and tulip and some Later Gator for the leaf and Woof! for the flower vase. The Pixie Spray helped me keep the stencil in place and some Purple Tape to mask off the areas of the stencil I didn't want to ink.

I stamped a sentiment from the new Encouraging Words stamp set at the bottom of my card with black ink. This stamp set is full of amazing sentiments! It's also part of the new release available in February! I added my panel on top of an A2 card base made from Stark White Cardstock. I didn't add any embellishments, but you definitely could!

I hope you've enjoyed this look at some of the new products from Simon Hurley Create.! See you soon!

Gina K Designs Sending Sunshine Stamp n' Stencil

Hi, there! I'm so excited about new products from ThermOWeb! I'm using the Sending Sunshine Stamp n' Stencil system with Electro-POP inks and Deco Foil Neon Enamel Transfer Sheets!

The Electro-POP line from Rina K Designs is truly FABULOUS! The vibrant colors are sure to brighten anyone's day! And the colors all coordinate so well together. I decided to use a mix of the Elctro-POP inks, Neon Flock Transfer Sheets, and Neon Enamel Transfer Sheets together to make this sunshiney card. I grabbed a few of the Electro-POP inks to start - Screamin' Green, Raging Red, and Orange Glow - and the new Rina K Designs Sending Sunshine Stamp n' Stencil. I used the leaf images from the Sending Sunshine stamp set and the Screamin' Green ink to create a quick tropical background for my card. The Screamin' Green ink is a lime green color that I just love! I chose some of my favorite fruits to be the focal point of my card and stamped them with the Ranging Red and Orange Glow Electro-POP inks.

I used the Sending Sunshine Stencil and Pixie Spray to add Deco Foil Transfer Gel DUO onto the pineapple and orange stamped images and set them aside to dry until the DUO Gel was completely clear. I actually let them dry overnight - I find I get the best results when I'm sure the DUO Gel is good and set. Now for the fun part! Deciding which coordinating Electro-POP products to use! I decided to go with the matching Orange Glow Deco Foil Neon Flock Transfer Sheets for the orange slice and new Hello Yellow Deco Foil Neon Enamel Transfer Sheets for the pineapple. The Neon Flock Transfer Sheets work just like the original ones - you want to add the Flock Transfer Sheets pretty side DOWN into the DUO Gel. The great thing about the DUO Gel is that you can now use it with or without heat! That's great for me! I have a small work area and I have my die cutting machine permanently on my desk, but I have to get out my laminator each time I use it. Instead of having to wait for it to fully heat up I can just place the Flock Transfer Sheets face down into the DUO Gel and run it through my die cutting machine and get the same results as I do with the laminator but without the hassle! Yay!! The Neon Enamel Transfer Sheets work almost the same way as Deco Foil Transfer Sheets - you want to place the Enamel Transfer Sheet face UP over the DUO Gel and then run it through your laminator or die cutting machine. I used my die cutting machine. The Neon Enamel Transfer Sheets are SO SO SO cool! I love the way it looks like an enamel embellishment all shiny and smooth!

I die cut a stitched shape and blended on some light gray ink through the new Sweet Stuff Stencil and stamped a sentiment from the Sending Sunshine stamp set at the bottom. I adhered my die cut to the card with iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive and my fruit shapes with iCraft 3D White Foam Squares. I hope you enjoyed this peek at some of the new Electro-POP products from ThermOWeb!

Stitched Heart Shaped Card

Hello! Do you ever make shaped cards? It's so easy to create cards with any large die cut shape you have. I'll show you how using the LDRS Creative Open Hearts release!

I have a video tutorial above showing you step by step how I created this fun shaped card. It's really easy! I used the largest heart in the Stitched Heart die set and die cut one from white cardstock and one from a piece of patterned paper from the Love Birds 6x6 Paper Pad. I added a score line on the patterned paper die cut heart about a half inch from the top so that I could form the base of the card. I added strong adhesive to the back of the flaps that I created from scoring the die cut heart and glued the patterned paper heart on top of the white cardstock heart. That creates my shaped card base! But definitely check out the video - I'm terrible at written instructions! Haha!

Now it's time to decorate this cute heart shaped card! I stamped the two pandas and the banner from the Panda Play stamp set with Raven Hybrid Ink and colored them with alcohol markers and die cut them with the coordinating Panda Play die set. I stamped a sentiment from the Love Stack stamp set with Raven Hybrid Ink and die cut it with the Sentiment Stack coordinating die. I glued everything to the front of the card.

This is such a cute and easy way to make a bunch of Valentines! You could even switch up the patterned papers and images on the front of the card! I hope this inspires you to create some shaped cards with the new Open Hearts collection from LDRS Creative!

Gorgeous Vases Stenciled Background

Hello and happy Pink & Main release day! The first Pink & Main release of 2020 is simply FABULOUS! And I hope this glittery stenciled background gives you a little glimpse into this amazing release!

I started by adhering the new Garden Gate Stencil to a piece of black cardstock and adding some Black Gina K Designs Glitz Glitter Gel over the top. I absolutely LOVE to use black mediums on black cardstock! I think the texture is amazing!

While my background panel was drying I worked on my focal image. I stamped the floral image from the Gorgeous Vases stamp set with alcohol marker friendly ink and the vase with a light blue ink. I colored the bouquet and used the Gorgeous Vases coordinating dies to cut out the images and popped them onto the card with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment from the new Spring Sentiments stamp set and die cut it into a banner with the matching die from the Sentiment Strip die set.

There are so many new products in the January release from Pink & Main! This is just a little taste! Head on over to the shop and grab the new release. It's available TODAY! Yay!

i-crafter Zip Gift Tags

Hi hi! I have a quick video tutorial showing you how to put together the i-crafter Zip Gift Tags. They're super easy and a fun interactive way to give cash or gift cards! And you could totally use these dies on their own, too!

Be sure to watch the video tutorial above for step by step instructions on how to put together the Zip Gift Tags. I cut my tag bases from some rainbow patterned paper. The Zip Gift Tags have a BUNCH of extra dies that you can use with the main tag die to embellish the tags. For these I decided to die cut a "for you" sentiment right out of the tag. There are other sentiments included in the die set as well as some little icons. So fun!

The absolute BEST part of the Zip Gift Tags die set is right in the name! The tags have an optional die that you can use to create a pull strip to reveal a hidden pocket for a gift card. How awesome!! I finished off these tags with a heart die cut from the Heart Hands Wiper die set.

I hope this video tutorial has given you some inspiration for the Zip Gift Tags die set from i-crafter! See you soon!

Simon Hurley Create. Signature Designer for Creativation

Helllllooooo!! Can you BELIEVE that I'm at Creativation right now?! I can't! I truly can't! And even more amazing is that my project is on display at the Ranger and Simon Hurley Create. booth! That's absolutely CRAZY! I'm in shock. When I started getting serious about making cards a few years ago I never dreamed I would be a signature designer for a major company! I'm so in love with the new products from Simon Hurley Create. and so so so proud to be a designer on his team. Let's see what I made!

I used a combination of new and old dye inks from the Simon Hurley Create. line to create an ink blended rainbow background. I started with a piece of Stark White Cardstock cut to 5 x 7 inches and used round ink blending tools to apply ink to the cardstock. I started at the top with Piggyback, Rosy Cheeks, Guppy, Over the Moon, Minty Fresh, and ended with Tropical Tango at the bottom. Piggyback, Guppy, Minty Fresh, and Tropical Tango are 4 of 6 new ink colors from Simon Hurley Create. and will be available for purchase in February! I added some flicks of water onto my ink blended background and used a clean towel to pick up the excess water from the background.

The Puppy Pals stamp set is a large 6 x 8 stamp set from Simon Hurley's new release (available February 2020) and has a BUNCH of little puppy images! I have to admit - I'm not a dog person. I'm scared to death of them! Literally run like a little girl scared haha! So I've never really learned what breeds of dogs should be colored with what colors, so I totally winged it! Haha!

I cut out each of the little puppy heads and a couple of speech bubbles and arranged them around the outside of my card. I glued the puppies onto my card with liquid adhesive and the speech bubbles with foam tape for dimension. I created a 5 x 7 card base from a piece of Stark White Cardstock and glued my background onto the card. And that finishes my project for the Ranger and Simon Hurley Create. booth at Creativation 2020! I hope this inspires you! See you soon!

Check out the absolutely AMAZING Heart Maze die set! I just LOVE it! And the Amaze Me stamp set perfectly coordinates with the Heart Maze die. I die cut the Heart Maze die 7 times from white cardstock and glued the dies on top of each other to create my shaker wells. I thought this would be an easier way to create a shaker card than to put skinny strips of foam tape behind all of the maze walls. I added a piece of acetate on top of the stacked maze dies and then glued an 8th and final die on top of the acetate. Then I filled up all the different wells of the shaker with small foam rainbow shaker bits.

I really wanted to keep the focus of this card on the Heart Maze die, so I created a simple black background with white acrylic paint spatter and stamped a coordinating sentiment from the Amaze Me stamp set to add on top of my shaker. I hope this card inspires you! And that you'll head over to the i-crafter website to shop the first release from this new company!

Quick School Valentines with Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets

Hello! It's hard to believe that Valentine's Day is in just one month! There are a whole BUNCH of ThermOWeb products that would make quick and easy school themed Valentines. Today I decided to use Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets as well as Deco Foil Transfer Sheets!

My son is four, so when I think of school themed Valentines I think of bright colors. And that means crayons! And rainbows! Haha! I decided to go back to basics and use the original six colors of Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets for my rainbow of Valentines. When I work with the Flock Transfer Sheets I like to first transfer them onto pieces of cardstock. I cut down six pieces of cardstock and covered each of them with a piece of an iCraft 6x6 Easy Cut Adhesive Sheet. Then I cut down a piece of each of the six Deco Foil Flock colors - Think Pink, Orange Glow, Sunshine Yellow, Green Envy, Blue Diamond, and Purple Punch - to be a bit larger than the cardstock pieces. To transfer the Flock Transfer Sheets onto the cardstock I peeled back the adhesive and placed the Flock Transfer Sheets face down into the adhesive. Then I ran each of them through my die cutting machine to really press the Flock Transfer Sheets into the adhesive, peeled away the backer sheet, and I have a whole rainbow of Deco Foil Flock covered cardstock pieces!

The Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets have so much texture, but I decided to add a bit more using an embossing folder. You can use the Flock Transfer Sheets with embossing folders just like you would with regular cardstock! I used the Taylored Expressions Cross Stitch Embossing Folder on each of the six backgrounds - but I still needed more! Haha! I used coordinating colors of Distress Inks to lightly add a little ink after I embossed the backgrounds. The raised portions of the Deco Foil Flock backgrounds pick up the ink and the embossing really pops off the page!

I die cut some stitched rectangles from heavy weight cardstock and stamped my sentiment and images from the Lawn Fawn Color My World stamp set. I colored them with alcohol markers to match the Deco Foil Flock backgrounds. I was going to assemble my cards with just the Deco Foil Flock backgrounds and colored panels, but again .... they needed just a little something more. Something shiny, of course! I added some Deco Foil Transfer Sheets and totally cheated so that I wouldn't waste a lot of foil. I only wanted a small border around my colored panel, so I outlined a second piece of cardstock with 1/4" Gina K Designs Terrific Tape and added foil to that. The Deco Foil is only around the edges instead of covering the whole layered cardstock piece. I chose coordinating colors of Deco Foil Transfer Sheets - Purple, Deep Blue, Spring Green, and Gold. I found the closest matches to the pink and orange with Sweet Mango and Passionate Pink Gina K Designs Fancy Foil.

I adhered all of my pieces together with iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive. I know this adhesive will hold strong to the Deco Foil Transfer Sheets as well as the Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets. I hope you love this rainbow of quick school Valentines! See you soon!

Fantastic Florals and Plaid

Hello, hello, hello! It's time to sneak the first Pink & Main release of the new year! Yay!! This is going to be a FABULOUS release! Don't miss it! The release will be available in the Pink & Main store on January 20th!

Ahh! So so so fabulous, right?! I started by stamping my background using the new Plaid Background Stamps. There are multiple 6x6 stamps that you can build together to create fun backgrounds. I stamped the Plaid 1 stamp with a yellow ink and the Plaid 2 stamp with black ink to create a contrasting background.

I wish I could impress all of you and say that I watercolored those gorgeously stunning flowers, but I totally cheated! It's from the Fantastic Florals 6x6 Patterned Paper  Pad. I found a design that I loved and trimmed around it with my scissors leaving a small border. I wanted the image to stand out from my plaid background, so I adhered it to some vellum and trimmed around it leaving an additional border and added it to my background with foam tape. The sentiment is from the new Spring Sentiments stamp set. This fits perfectly in the line of Pink & Main sentiment stamp sets! And you can die cut the sentiments with the Sentiment Strip Die set! Hooray for perfectly die cut sentiments!

I hope you've enjoyed this peek at the January 2020 release from Pink & Main! You'll be able to shop this release on January 20th! See you then!

LDRS Creative Panda Play Cutout Cards

Hello! The Open Hearts Collection from LDRS Creative is just PERFECT for Valentine's Day ( and other occasions, too! ) I used the Stitched Heart dies and Panda Play stamps and a bunch of LDRS Creative Hybrid Inks to create a duo of rainbow Valentine's Day cards!

I took each of the Stitched Heart dies and temporarily taped them onto a piece of white cardstock and die cut them with my die cutting machine. I love that these dies leave stitched details on the positive and negative parts of the die cuts. This inspired me to create two cards out of one! I created one card with ink blending behind the die cuts and one card with ink blending directly on the die cuts.

I used the same colors of inks for both cards - Lipstick Jungle, In Your Face Orange, Dan-D-Lion, Key Lime Pie, Bali Blue, and Plum Crazy. For one card I blended the inks onto an extra piece of cardstock to lay behind the negative die cut piece. I also blended the same ink colors onto the positive Stitched Heart die cuts.

I stamped the Love Stack sentiment stamp set onto white cardstock and used the Sentiment Stack coordinating die to cut out a bunch of sentiment strips at once. I am TOTALLY IN LOVE with these sentiment stacks and coordinating die! I can easily stamp a bunch of sentiments and cut them out and store them with the stamp set so I have a sentiment already stamped, cut, and ready to go! I was going to leave the cards just as the rainbow ink blending and sentiment strips, but I decided a cute little panda from the Panda Play stamp set would be the perfect pop of black! I stamped the Panda Play images and cut them out with the coordinating dies and added everything to my cards with foam tape.

That completes these two colorful Valentines! Be sure to check out the rest of the Open Hearts Collection from LDRS Creative!

New Products from Simon Hurley Create.!!

Hey, everyone! Simon Hurley Create. just revealed a BUNCH of new products today! These products are a great addition to his line and will be available in February! Get excited! There are new stamps, stencils, and SIX new ink colors!! Sit back and relax! I have a few cards to share using some of my favorites!

I share a few examples in this video, but my tutorial is what I call offset stamping. This is definitely not a new technique, but it's the first time I've tried it. It gives awesome depth and dimension to a one layer background and you can do it with just about any stamp you have! I used the new School Scribbles Background Stamp (part of Simon's new release available in February) and a few of his new inks!

It's best to use a MISTI or some other stamping tool for this technique. I first stamped the School Scribbles Background Stamp with white pigment ink onto kraft cardstock and used a heat tool to completely dry the background. I put my background piece back into my MISTI and moved it so so slightly up and left so that I could stamp the same background but slightly offset. I inked up the stamp with three of Simon's new inks (available in February) - Guppy, Tropical Tango, and Crown Me. I overlapped the inks to make sure they created new colors in the middle.

I added some black spatters to the background and stamped a sentiment from the new Encouraging Words stamp set in the center of my background. I won't lie ... I filmed this video three times trying to get my background right! The first time I was way off on the second stamping! You really only need to slide your cardstock background the teeniest tiniest bit to get this look!

I kept playing! I had a bunch of ink left on my background stamp and so I decided to use it and stamp another background. This gives me a second generation stamping. The ink is lighter and splotchier than it is at full strength, but I like it!

I bought a new white paint to use for spatters and I had been playing around with some backgrounds. Whenever I do this I keep the pieces in a basket next to my desk so I can pull them out and have a ready to go background. I wanted to play around with some of the sentiments in the Encouraging Words stamp set, so I stamped and heat embossed a couple of backgrounds. And just like that I had a bunch of cards using the new Simon Hurley Create. stamps and inks! Keep your eyes peeled! You'll be able to get your hands on them in February!
