Hi, everyone! This week for the Crafty Festival of Christmas we are bringing you some inspiration for ornaments, gifts, and/or treat containers! I created a simple card with a detachable magnetic ornament! And it's really easy to do!
I stamped and gold heat embossed the ornament from the Taylored Expressions Iconic Wishes - Christmas stamp set twice and then die cut them with the coordinating die. I wanted to be able to have an ornament that was identical on both sides. I added a magnet at the back of one of the die cuts and then added foam tape and adhered the two ornament pieces together back to back. I heat embossed a sentiment onto the card background from the Avery Elle Comfort and Joy stamp set where I would be adding my ornament. I added another magnet behind the sentiment on the back of the green cardstock and added foam tape before adding the background to my card base.
So there you have it! A fun gold heat embossed ornament that is held onto the front of the card with a magnet! You won't even notice the magnet in the ornament when you hang it on the tree! This card is the result of a happy accident - but I love the look! I sprayed the back of the Echo Park Magical Snowfall Stencil a little too heavily with Pixie Spray and I didn't wait long enough for the spray to dry before adding it to my cardstock. I pressed Versamark ink over the stencil and when I removed it and added my Lilac Pearl embossing powder the powder actually stuck to the background. I LOVE it! I think it looks like the soft flurries of snow that picks up and blows around in the wind!
The little snowman is from the Avery Elle Christmas Magic stamp set. I wanted him to match my heat embossed background, so I used some BV Copic Markers to color his hat and scarf. The sentiment is from the Sunny Studio Stamps Bundled Up stamp set. I thought it fit this card perfectly!
I added all of my die cut elements onto my card and finished it off with some string tied in a bow. Head over to the Scrapping for Less store to find these products and more for your Holiday cards!
Hi! Can you believe Christmas is a mere 3 months away!? Crazy, right! I used some mint and gold patterned papers from my stash and the Avery Elle Christmas Magic stamp set to create a super cute Christmas card!
This card is super easy to recreate! I started by stamping the lamp, holly, snowman, and unicorn from the Avery Elle Christmas Magic stamp set and colored them with my Copic markers. I trimmed them out with scissors leaving a small white border.
I needed a perfect background for my images, so I grabbed some mint patterned papers from my stash and cut them with Pink & Main Stitched Rectangle Dies. I stamped a sentiment and snowflakes with black ink onto the heart patterned paper.
I added my cute images with foam squares and that finishes my card! Thanks for stopping by!

I used each sketch pictured above and made a card from each collection in the kit as well as a card with the bonus pack of goodies! Scroll to the bottom of this post to watch my process video!
There were some kraft tags in collection 1 and I wanted to use them since I rarely make anything other than a card. I trimmed some patterned paper and some kraft cardstock from my stash and added them to the bottom of my tag. I love the little Loch Ness Monster stamp from Kindred Stamps! I colored her in shades of turquoise and added a heat embossed sentiment and some Simply White Nuvo Drops.
Did I say how much I LOVE the patterned papers this month?! I do! I love them! Love love love them! The ones in the first collection and this one (the second collection) are my favorites! The Pretty Little Rainbow Papers have a watercolor feel - and if you know me then you know I love watercolor and rainbows! I used layered up some of the papers for my background and stamped and colored the Pegasus stamp to be my focal image.
Collection three has the cutest fairy stamps from Avery Elle! I stamped and colored her skirt, wings, and the little lightning bugs with some Nuvo Jewel Drops. Check out my video to see how! Then I layered up some stitched die cuts and added some twine and sequins.
The meadow background paper is one of the best things I've seen from this kit! It's perfect! A ready made background! I didn't need to do anything fancy to make this card fabulous! I just stamped a sentiment and colored the little gnomes!
I just LOVE the extra stamp set in the Banana Split level kit! The book image and sentiments are so cute! I used some papers from the second collection to create the background for my card and for the book. I stamped the book onto the paper and trimmed it out and added the little monster from the Kindred Stamps set and a simple sentiment!

Hi! I have a project for the Scrapping for Less blog today using the Avery Elle Cool Beans stamp set and some colored pencils! And there's a video at the end of this post!
I love the cute little coffee cup image in the Cool Beans stamp set and I toyed around with a bunch of ideas in my head before settling on this one! I used the Splatters stencil from Tim Holtz and some Ground Espresso Distress Ink to create my background. I taped down my stencil and then blended on the ink keeping it darker at the bottom and lighter at the top.
I stamped my coffee cup with some ink safe for colored pencils and grabbed a few colors of my Prismacolor pencils. I usually tend to stay away from colored pencils. I'm not good at coloring - especially with pencils. I can never get colors to blend and I always have streaky pencil marks. I usually use a blending stump and some gamsol to blend the colors together, but I can't seem to keep a good point on the stumps and the gamsol almost shreds my paper. I watched Jennifer McGuire's video where she showed how to put gamsol into an alcohol ink blending pen and use that to color with pencils and I was AMAZED! I had to try it for myself! Watch the video below to see exactly how I colored this cup!
I put down some quick color with my pencils and then used the blending pen filled with gamsol to blend the colors together. And look! No streaky pencil lines! I cut out the cup and popped it up with foam and added some colored hearts as accents to finish off the card! Check out the video below!
