LDRS Creative | Baby Card and Tag Duo

Little duckies are my favorite things to put on baby cards and tags. They're just so CUTE! I used some LDRS Creative stamps and created a quick and easy (and super adorable) tag and coordinating baby card!

I love how easy it was to create this card and tag set. You could customize them to any color or switch up the duckie for a different element and change the theme completely!

I started with the tag - in fact - I was only going to make a tag, but the idea of a coordinating card was too enticing to let pass! I trimmed a piece of cardstock and cut the top with one of the dies from the Any Size Tags Dies. Then I just started stamping! I used the Ledger 3x4 Stamp first and built the rest of my design around the grid. I stamped a bunch of sentiments, a couple of ducks, and some additional elements from the On This Special Day 4x8 Stamps using a variety of LDRS Creative Hybrid Inks.

If you thought the tag was simple, just wait until I tell you how easy the coordinating card was to make! I stamped a row of ducks with yellow ink and used the outline stamp from the On This Special Day 4x8 Stamps to give them a defined edge. Then I stamped a sentiment under the row of ducks and finished it off with a strip of cardstock. Wham, bam, that's all done! Thanks for joining me!

Whimsy Stamps | Slimline Connected Bubbles Emboss Resist Baby Cards

Hi there! I'll be mixing some new release products from Whimsy Stamps with some older supplies to create a fun emboss resist duo of baby cards!

I am loving all of the slimline dies that Whimsy Stamps has been releasing! And the Slimline Connected Bubbles die is no exception! I decided to pair it with the new Footprints Background Stamp and make a couple of baby cards! I never seem to have them when I need them. Watch the video to see how I stretched an A2 sized background stamp to fill a slimline die!

I thought it would be fun to add some texture to the background, so I also show you how I stretch a traditional 6x6 Polka Dot Stencil to fill a slimline card! It's easy peasy! I stamped my sentiments from the So and Too Stamp Set and trimmed them to strips for my cards.

I embellished each card with some colored pearls and that's all! I hope you enjoyed these cards! Head over to the Whimsy Stamps Store to grab these products for your craft room!

Kindred Stamps // Rainbow Baby Card

Hi! I was so happy to see the Family Additions stamp set from Kindred Stamps that I cried actual tears when I first saw it. Many of you know my infertility story and that a few years ago we finally adopted our son Jaxon. There are SO many ways to have a family these days and I'm so happy that the Family Additions stamp set celebrates all kinds families!

I stamped the pregnant girl stamp from the Family Additions stamp set onto heavyweight cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers. I kept the color of her dress neutral so that this card can be for a mamma expecting a boy or a girl. I die cut a rainbow from a stitched die set to be the background.

I used one of my favorite Kindred Stamps stencils - the Skinny Plaid stencil - to add a light layer of warm gray ink the background. The neutral colored background really makes the images in the foreground pop! The Family Additions stamp set has an amazing selection of sentiments that pull at my heart, but I had to go with the rainbow sentiment. I stamped it towards the bottom of my card under the images.

A rainbow baby is my dream - and though it most likely won't happen for me, it has happened for one of my friends and I have many more still hoping and praying for their rainbow baby. I'm going to hold on to this card and hopefully I can give it to a mommy-to-be one day! Thanks for joining me on for this emotional card project. I bet you didn't expect that today!

Pink & Main May 2019 Release Sneak Peek

Hey, everyone! The May release from Pink & Main is right around the corner! It hits the shop on May 20th! The quickest way to find the whole new release is to visit the "new" tab on the website!

I was immediately drawn to the Bundle of Joy stamp set from the new Pink & Main release because it's perfect for babies - but there's an option to build your sentiment around adoption. I think this is something that is commonly left out of baby sets and it's something near and dear to my heart. I won't go into details about my journey to have a family - but my son's 2 year adoption day is coming up at the end of July. He is my world and when we were going through our adoption process my friends mentioned to me that everything baby was centered around "biological" babies. I'm so thankful to Pink & Main for including adoptive parents in their Bundle of Joy stamp set!

Now let's move on to the creative process behind my card! I wanted to create a one layer card, so I stamped the baby food, onsie, and bottle image from the Bundle of Joy stamp set onto my card and used some alcohol markers to color them in. I kept the colors relatively gender neutral so that I could pull out my card and send it to a friend regardless of their baby's gender. The Bundle of Joy stamp set is absolutely WONDERFUL because all the sentiments are separate and you can build them however you want! I stamped my sentiment with black ink and added some black Nuvo Drops for extra embellishment.

I hope you love this little peek into the Bundle of Joy stamp set! You'll be able to find it on the Pink & Main site on the 20th! See you next time!

It's a Baby Shower!

Hello and happy Saturday!
I just got home from my friend's beautiful shower for her little boy. I'm so excited to meet him!
I made her this card with the Studio Calico July 2014 card kit (Penny Arcade) when I first got the kit, but I didn't want her to see it before today. I think it's so super cute! Here we go!

As soon as I saw the big and little hedgehogs in the stamp set, I knew I wanted to make this card!
I used the blue cardstock that was included in the kit to make a standard A2 card base. I layered that with some yellow and blue papers from The Paper Studio.

Then I created my stamped embellishments using stamps from the kit. I used slate gray, well red, and something blue inks. The original shades were too vibrant for my card, so I stamped them off on a piece of scratch paper and then stamped them again onto the white cardstock. I used Versafine ink for the outline of the hedgehogs and cut out my images. I put the sentiment together using two different stamp sets from Simon Says Stamp and they, too are inked with Versafine ink.

The veneer stars were included in the kit and I adhered them with Glossy Accents. The cloud and the hedgehogs are popped up with foam tape.

And that's it!
I did an awful lot of crafting this week, so I'll be back soon with more cards from this kit.
My kit from Simon Says Stamp is due to arrive Monday! Yay! I can't wait! It will be my first kit from their company and I'm so excited! See you soon!
