I decided to use the two blocks from the Building Blocks stamp set that are illustrated like you are looking down at them - both the square and the rectangle. I stamped out a bunch of them ... I mean a BUNCH! I think I stamped 40 blocks! I also stamped the two block people and a few of their accessories and colored them in with my Spectrum Noir Triblend markers and cut them out with my scissors.
I cut a piece of black cardstock to be my background and started adding lines of my cut and colored blocks across my card. I used my T-square ruler to get the first line straight and just eyeballed it from there. I added a die cut circle and frame and glued my block people and sentiment on top.
That's all! This card was really simple to pull together! The longest part was coloring all of the blocks, but I got in a rhythm so even that didn't take too long! Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Winston's Lake House stamp set from Newton's Nook Designs is SO cute! There are so many cute scene building stamps! I almost went with a lake scene - but the little bear and cabin images just spoke to me!
This card came together super quickly with just a bit of masking! I stamped my sentiment first and then the bear image. When masking it's important to remember to stamp whatever image you want to be in front first! I stamped the bear image onto masking paper and cut it out with scissors and placed it over my original stamped image and stamped my lake house. When I removed the masking paper it looks like the lake house is set behind the little bear! I used my Spectrum Noir Triblend markers to color them in.
I didn't to much to embellish the card - just some gems and clear glitter! Check out my video below!

SERIOUSLY THIS BOX IS SO AMAZING! Just look how cute! I had planned to film the unboxing of this box and just one card. And that turned into 2. And then 3. And 4. And then I had 5 cards! And I still have so many ideas!
I started with the stencil and the new glitter gloss! I was SO excited when I opened the box and saw this glitter gloss! It has SO MUCH GLITTER! And it's super textured! It's not like anything I have in my craft room. I finished the card with staggered sentiments and a little alien on an action wobbler!
Card number two came about because I was impatiently waiting for the glitter gloss to dry. Haha! I figured I would make another background with inks! The little aliens are my FAVORITE so I colored three of them and used the sequin mix in the box to create a shaker!
Well once you make one background you have to make another! Haha! I stamped and gold heat embossed the sheriff's star onto a background and colored them in with my Gansai Tambi gold watercolors. I added our favorite sheriff and his horse as well as a gold heat embossed sentiment.
I couldn't leave out our favorite space ranger, so I used the infinity symbol and a couple colors of ink to stamp a diagonal portion of my card. Some ink spatters and thin strips of black cardstock were all this card needed!
At this point I realized I hadn't broken out the patterned paper! I have a really really really bad habit of hoarding patterned papers. Especially my favorite ones - like this cow print! I forced myself to use it and I think it's super cute!

I stamped a bunch of the Caffeinated Bees around the background of my card using Creme Brulee ink from Studio Calico. Then I grabbed a bunch of my Distress Oxide Sprays and just started flicking on color! I have some Twisted Citron, Abandoned Coral, Squeezed Lemonade, and Shaded Lilac, and Mermaid Lagoon. I probably should have stopped with just two or three colors...but I just couldn't!
I stamped and colored my little Caffeinated Bee and popped him up on a vellum stitched circle die cut. I thought the sentiment from the Perfectly Blended stamp set fit so perfectly with this sad looking bee! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hey, there! I'm still loving the products in the April 2019 box from The Hedgehog Hollow! The little Art Impressions birdies are adorable! I used them and some twig cut outs to create a simple framed card.
If you're like me then you have baskets of half finished projects sitting around. I rarely practice a piece before filming a video, but a few months ago I was working with new liquid watercolors and practiced before turning on my camera. As I was cleaning up I saw this background panel and I decided to use it! I stamped and cut four birds from the Birdhouse Cubbies stamp set from Art Impressions and colored them in with my Spectrum Noir markers. I wanted to use the little branch to frame up my heat embossed sentiment, so I used my markers again to give some color to the branches and leaves.
You could definitely make a set of these super quickly! I just love that little twig frame! Check out my video next!

Are you ready to see my card? I used the Caffeinated Dino stamp set along with the new Perfectly Blended stamp set to create a simple gatefold card! I have a video at the end of this post showing how easily I created this card!
It is super simple to create the base of a gatefold card - I cut a piece of cardstock in half so that I had a piece 8" long by 5.5" tall. Then I score at 2 1/8" inches from each end. Fold the side flaps in until they meet and boom! Simple base for a gatefold card!
I die cut the Basket Cover Die from kraft cardstock backed with double sided adhesive. I adhered it to one of the side flaps and cut off the excess. This leaves me with enough to perfectly adhere to the other flap! To decorate the front I colored the Caffeinated Dino image and stamped the sentiment from the Perfectly Blended stamp set. I added foam squares to the right side of each of them and adhered them to the right flap of my card. It doesn't matter which side you adhere your images to - but you want to make sure you only adhere them to one side or you won't be able to open your card.
I decided to stamp the Caffeinated Dino on the inside of my card using a light gray ink to add some interest to the inside. Check out my video below to see just how simple it is to create a gatefold card!

I created all three of these cards the same way. Assembly line style is the way to go! I started by inking the centers of my card bases with Distress Oxide inks and adding some flicks of both clear water and black watercolor to add texture.
I made sure my backgrounds were completely dry and then I stamped the small images from the Ocean Royalty stamp set inside of the ink blended portions with Versamark ink and added white embossing powder. I colored in the images with clean water and removed the color with a dry cloth for a bleaching effect.
I colored all of my images with my Spectrum Noir Triblend markers and cut them out with my Scan n Cut. I popped them up with foam squares and added coordinating sentiments to the bottoms of my focal points.

Hey, all! I´m playing with the Birdhouse Cubby stamp set from Art Impressions included in the April box from The Hedgehog Hollow! I try my best to show a variety of ways you can use a stamp set other than the obvious ... so today I have a set of birthday cards that only took me about 15 minutes to make!
These cards are super cute and have a peek through element that takes very little time, but adds a little bit of excitement! I started with 4 card bases and arranged the two birds that look like they´re flying and the sentiment in my MISTI and stamped all 4 cards at once with the Nuvo Black Shadow ink included in the box.
I cut out the birds by opening up the card and running it through my die cut machine. Make sure you open your card or you will cut through the back of the card as well!
I had left the bird stamps in my MISTI so that after my birds were cut out I could close my card again and place it back into my MISTI and stamp them again. Since I left the stamps in my MISTI I could stamp right through the shape that I had cut out and stamp onto the inside of my card.
I used my Spectrum Noir Triblend markers to color the birds four different colors. If you wanted to save even more time you could color them all the same way. To finish off the front of the card I added some gold spatters. I opened my card and used the Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen included in the box and tapped on some gold paint onto the front of the cards.
I always find myself needing a birthday card or two and I was able to create these 4 cards very quickly and they´re great for guys or girls depending on how you color the birds! And that peek through element is so fun!
Hey everyone! I never get tired of seeing little birdies on a wire, so I used the Birdhouse Cubby stamp set from Art Impressions in the April 2019 box from The Hedgehog Hollow to create a simple one layer card!
This card was really so simple to create! And you can color the birdies any color you want! I started by using a Copic Multiliner pen to draw two wires going across the length of my card. Then I used the Nuvo Hybrid Black Shadow ink pad included in the April 2019 box to stamp the six birds from the Birdhouse Cubby stamp set from Art Impressions. The sentiment is super cute, but it was stacked and it didn't really fit with the composition of my card, so I used some masking tape and masked off the different parts of my sentiment so that I could stamp it on a single line. There's more info on that in my video below! It didn't turn out perfectly, but I love it anyway!
I colored my birds with my Spectrum Noir Triblend markers and gave them little yellow bellies with light blue bodies. I decided to add a few Nuvo Crystal drops to finish off my card! Check out the video below!
I wanted my background to be dark and spooky - but in a good way! I started by creating a watercolor background with Storm Cloud Nuvo Shimmer Powder. I dried it with my heat tool until it was completely dry. Then I used the new Pixie Spray from Therm O Web and sprayed the back of the Moon & Stars stencil from Kindred Stamps and pressed it onto my watercolor background. This stencil is fairly detailed, so you'll want to make sure that it has good contact with the cardstock. Then I spread on some Gina K Designs Gold Glitz Glitter Gel. THIS STUFF IS AMAZING!! Everyone talked about how glittery it is ... but seriously words cannot do this product justice! It's just clear gel and ALL of the color comes from the glitter! Absolutely gorgeous!
I stamped my images from the Witch Sisters stamp set onto heavyweight cardstock and colored them with my alcohol markers. I used mainly my Spectrum Noir Triblend markers, but I did mix in some Copic markers for my grays and blacks. I also stamped a sentiment onto a strip of cardstock and trimmed the edges into banners.
I adhered my images onto my super shimmery background. You want to use a super strong liquid adhesive to make sure everything sticks well. The Glitz gel is quite textured and it is raised, so you need an adhesive that will bond well. I used my favorite liquid adhesive - iCraft Ultra Bond! It holds super tight and dries quickly! I love to use small images in a stamp set to create a background, so I decided to create a wreath type background with the small floral stamps. I used heavy 110lb cardstock and alcohol marker safe ink to stamp my images. One tip to remember - in order for this process to work your cardstock needs to be square. I positioned the bouquet style stamp and stamped it and then turned my cardstock in my MISTI and stamped again. I repeated this twice more until I had stamped four times. I repeated with the other stamps.
I colored with my Spectrum Noir Triblend alcohol markers. I used Dull Green, Light Green, Ice Blue, Coral, Purple, and Citrus blends to color my flowers. I decided I wanted to add the fawn image, so I stamped her and colored her with the Earth Brown and Golden Brown blends with a bit of Light Pink for her eyelids and ears.
To finish off the card I stamped the banner image with gray ink and stamped my sentiment with Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink. I hope you'll watch my video below to see just how I created this card!
