ThermOWeb | Festive Fall Gnomes

Did you know the little gnomes from the ThermOWeb Festive Fall Add-On can hold any little item you want?! I have my gnomies bringing pies to Thanksgiving dinner! 

These gnomes from the Gnome for the Holidays: Festive Fall Add-On can visit my house for dinner any day! I did a bit of die cutting and paired them with a Brutus Monroe Toner Card Front. I even used both the positive and negative of the foiled piece to get two cards! Let's dive in! 

I chose one of my favorite Toner Card Fronts from the Brutus Monroe Really Radiant Toner Card Front Mixables and did a bit of ink blending to color my background. I thought the pattern could look a bit like sunflowers in the background, so I used brown towards the center of each of the "flowers" and then yellow over the whole panel. Be sure to use a clean, dry cloth to buff off any extra ink before foiling so you get great results! I cut a piece of Gold Shattered Glass Deco Foil slightly larger than my Toner Card Front and placed it pretty side up on top of the panel and ran it through my laminator using Deco Foil Parchment Paper. 

The positive foiled background was gorgeous, but the negative piece was just as gorgeous and I couldn't let it go to waste! I added a piece of iCraft Easy Cut Adhesive to a piece of white cardstock and placed the negative piece of Gold Shattered Glass Foil on top. It makes a beautiful second background! 

I build my gnomes by die cutting pieces using the original Gnome for the Holidays Craft Kit and the Gnome for the Holidays: Festive Fall Add-On Die Sets. The beards, bodies, noses, and feet come from the original set and the hats and cute little hands from the add-on. I used a combination of cardstock, patterned paper, and even Tuscan Gold Deco Foil Flock to cut all the pieces for my gnomes. I knew I wanted them to be holding something, so I took a peek through my stash and came across the Lawn Fawn Cutie Pie Stamp Set and thought how CUTE those pies would be in my scene! I used my iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive Pen to adhere all of the pieces of my gnomes together and moved on to putting my scene together. 

I cut a grassy border and heat embossed a sentiment using the Lawn Fawn Thankful Mice Stamp Set and also die cut a circle to represent the sun behind the grassy hill and added them to my card using tape from the iCraft White 1/16" 3D Jumbo Foam Tape Roll. I added my gnomes on top of my scene with iCraft 3D Foam Squares.

Sassy & Crafty | All About the Boos Shaker Card

Let's get spooky! I made a shaker card using Sassy and Crafty and ThermOWeb goodies! 

I used the Sailor Stripe Stencil and some Wild Lilac Glitz Glitter Gel to create my sparkly background. 

I stamped the cute little ghost from the All About the Boos Stamp Set and colored it with Copic Markers. I kept the colors to traditional Halloween colors, but you could mix it up and throw in some pink or aquas to be different! 

I created a simple shaker frame and glammed it up a bit by adding some Green Sketch Brutus Monroe Foil. Watch my video above to see how easy it is to bring some extra glam!

ThermOWeb and Brutus Monroe | Slimline Ornament Shaker Card

There are new foils from ThermOWeb and Brutus Monroe and they are wonderfully fabulous! I used the Blue Waves Foil Transfer Sheets and stretched an A2 die from Brutus Monroe to make a shaker card!  

I used a a variety of ThermOWeb and Brutus Monroe supplies for this card. Let's start with the Brutus Monroe Ornaments Die. This die is made to cut an A2 card front with a frame and a pyramid of ornaments. but how fun would it be to stretch this die? I covered a piece of cardstock with a piece of an iCraft 6x6 Easy Cut Adhesive Sheet and die cut the adhesive covered cardstock with the Ornaments Die. I only needed the pile of ornaments, so I trimmed away the excess. Then I pulled back the adhesive backing and covered the ornaments with a piece of new Brutus Monroe Blue Waves Foil Transfer Sheet. Make sure that you place the Blue Waves Foil pretty side up into the adhesive so that it will transfer properly! I ran the die cut and the foil through my die cutting machine so that it would transfer fully and when I peeled away the backing I have pretty Blue Waves foiled ornaments! 

Here's how I built my shaker! I blended on some ink onto a Brutus Monroe Precut Slimline Card Base for a simple background. Then I cut out the center of a Brutus Monroe Slimline Card Panel so that I would have a frame for my shaker. You can do this with dies or with a paper trimmer. I was going to leave the frame white, but I thought it would be fun to have it match the ornaments! I covered the frame with strips of the iCraft 6x6 Double Sided Adhesive Sheets and added Blue Waves Foil to the frame the same way I did with the Ornaments Die. However, since the Blue Waves Foils are 6x6 and my frame was 3.5x8.5 I had to do this in two segments. I removed half of the backing, ran the foil and frame through my die cutting machine, and repeated the process. I noticed that running the foil through my die cutting machine twice slightly dulled the foil giving it a matte appearance. I loved it! 

I adhered the ornaments die to the back of the slimline frame and look how awesome the "true finish" of the Blue Waves Foil looks against the accidental "matte finish" of the frame! What a happy accident! To complete the shaker I added iCraft Easy Tear Double Sided Adhesive all around the frame and adhered a piece of acetate. Then I built my shaker well with iCraft Foam Adhesive Strips and added some silver stars and confetti sequins to the shaker card. 

I created an easy stenciled design on a Brutus Monroe Slimline Envelope to match my shaker. I masked off the large portion of the Slimline Envelope with Purple Tape so that I would only have my design on the flap. Then I used a matching ink from the background of the shaker over the Brutus Monroe Slimline Holiday Stencil. I hope you love the new Brutus Monroe Blue Waves Foil as much as I do! 

ThermOWeb, Brutus Monroe, and Simple Stories Halloween Cards

Hi! The new Brutus Monroe Deco Foil Transfer Sheets and Designer Toner Sheets are AMAZING! There are 8 new Designer Toner Sheets and 3 new Foil Transfer Sheets. I paired the Halloween themed Designer Toner Sheets with the Simple Stories Say Cheese Halloween 12 x 12 Collection Kit! They go together perfectly!

I made three cards mixing and matching Designer Toner Sheets, Foil Transfer Sheets, Simple Stories patterned papers, and stickers!

Heat Embossed Background with Scrapping for Less Brutus Monroe Exclusive

Hi, there! I created a card using a past kit from Scrapping for Less today! I love the May 2018 kit so much that I went and bought it! It's called Countryside and there's still some left (and they're on sale!). This kit has multiple stamp sets that are exclusive to this SFL kit and you can't get them anywhere else! How awesome is that! I used products from collection 1 including an exclusive stamp set from Brutus Monroe! And there's a video at the end of this post so make sure you scroll all the way down!

The exclusive Brutus Monroe stamp set has 4 different images that look like what you'd see on an old time farm sign! I love white heat embossing on red paper, so I did that for my background for this card. But I think these stamps would look SO cool stamped on kraft with a brown embossing powder with distressed edges! Just like an old time farm sign! Anyway.... I decided to use the white embossing on red paper from the kit. I used my MISTI so that I could stamp all 4 images at once with Versamark ink.

Once my background was stamped and embossed I grabbed a piece of patterned paper and trimmed off one of the scenes and used tape runner adhesive to glue it down to the bottom third of my background. I love the empherma piece that says "farm house, sweet farm house" and I wanted to use that as my accent piece. I'll be sending this to card to my mom. My parents raise chickens for their eggs and any time my friends go up to their house they call it a farm and my mom gets a kick out of it! I know she'll love that sentiment!

I thought that the sentiment piece blended in with the scene on the strip of patterned paper. No problem at all! Here's the trick I always do - I glued the accent piece onto a piece of white cardstock and trimmed around it with my scissors leaving a small white border - just like you would when you fussy cut stamps! Now the piece stands out! You can watch the process for this card below!
