LDRS Creative | Fireworks Letterpress Card

I have a new video tutorial to share with you featuring a card tutorial that’s perfect for graduations, the Fourth of July, or any occasion that calls for a little extra sparkle!

Products used -

I started by pressing the Fireworks Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates into my cardstock with the BetterPress Platform. I started in the top left with reds, then middle right with yellow, and bottom left with blue inks. I used a two tone inking technique that gave me a dark concentration of color at the center of the bursts that faded out to the lighter color at the edges. Once my panel was complete, I used the largest die from the Mixed Postage Rectangle Dies to cut the panel.

I adhered the pressed panel to a blue card and cut a sentiment using the Travel Word Dies. You could take this design and change the sentiment for all kinds of celebrations - from birthdays, to graduations, and more! Thanks for joining me!

*RING RING* - Time to Create an Easy Letterpress Card!

Ring ring! I used the Victorian Phone Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates to create a card with an easy letterpress technique. This card features a cheerful yellow background with gray accents, giving it a modern twist on vintage style. I added the playful “ring ring” sentiment to tie everything together, making it perfect for a fun hello or just-because note. Let's check it out!

Products used -

This card was quite simple to make and just required some easy letterpress-ing and die cutting. I started by using my BetterPress Platform and Alloy Hybrid Ink to press the image from the Victorian Phone Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates into an A2 Cotton Watercolor Panel. Then, I used the Victorian Phone Coordinating Dies to cut out the image. I cut some pale yellow cardstock using the largest die from the Pinpoint Rectangle Dies as well as the third largest die from the Mixed Postage Rectangle Dies. I also used my paper trimmer to cut a piece of white cardstock to layer between the two yellow panels to create easy dimension.

I wanted a quick, easy, but super cute sentiment, so I letterpressed "ring ring" from the Victorian Phone Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates into the smaller yellow die-cut panel with Raven Hybrid Ink. I grabbed a white A2 card base and layered all of the die-cut pieces onto the card with a mixture of liquid adhesive and foam tape. And that's it!

LDRS Creative | Valentine's Day Hearts Puzzle Card

Valentine's Day is almost here and I have the perfect card to share with you to celebrate the special day! This card is perfect for a partner, friend, or anyone you love.

Products used -

I started by stamping a "freeform puzzle" design using the Puzzle Frames 6x8 Stamps and Raven Hybrid Ink. I stamped the rectangle and then two squares on top so that I would have a 2x2 square design. I filled in the puzzle using stamps from the Hearts Puzzle Scenes 6x8 Stamps. I colored them very simply using red and light gray Copic Markers and fussy cut the design with scissors. I used one of the dies from the Mixed Scallop Rectangle Dies and cut a piece of Cotton Watercolor Paper and pressed the Just a Note Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate into the bottom of the panel.

I wanted to keep the card simple with a bit of texture in the background, so I pressed the Heart Mix 5x7 Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate into a piece of Cotton Watercolor Paper using Alloy Hybrid Ink. I layered all of my panels using some red cardstock to separate the panels for a pop of color. That's it! Thanks for joining me!

LDRS Creative | Arch Shaped Card with the Heart Balloon Bouquet Press Plates

Check out this sweet arch-shaped card featuring the Heart Balloon Bouquet Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates. A touch of ink blending, die cutting, and patterned paper were all it took to create this versatile all-occasions card!

Products used -

I love how those heart balloons look like they're floating in a night sky! I pressed the sentiment and image from the Heart Balloon Bouquet Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates into a Cotton Watercolor Panel and then used the Heart Balloon Bouquet Layering Stencils to quickly (and easily!) color the image. I cut out the sentiment and balloons with the Heart Balloon Bouquet Coordinating Dies and set them aside while I worked on the base of my card.

I created a shaped card using the largest die from the Hand Torn Arches Dies and cut a piece of paper from the Favorite Things 6x6 Paper Pack using the Arches Dies to use as my background. I added the heart balloons right in the center of my card and offset the sentiment to help balance the design. That's it!

LDRS Creative | Holly Jolly Wreath Letterpress Card

Christmas wreath cards have never been easier! I made a mixed greens letterpress wreath with a simple sentiment on top. Perfect and customizable for the holidays!

Products used -

This card design is so easy to replicate and it would look fabulous with any color combo. Think how fabulous it would be with pink and teal or shades of purple! I hope this quick tutorial inspires you to take this design and make it your own. Just a reminder! I'm working with Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates. You will need a specialized letterpress platform to achieve this look.

I cut an A2 Cotton Watercolor Panel to 3 7/8" square and taped it to the top plate of my letterpress platform. I lined up a few of the press plates from the Classic Foliage Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates onto my magnetic base. I spaced them out so that I would have an even distribution of color and shape. I inked them with Key Lime Pie Hybrid Ink and pressed them into my panel. I wiped them off, repositioned them, and repeated this process with Four Leaf and Olive Branch Hybrid Inks

I die cut two of the Hand Torn Circles - one larger from red and one smaller from white. I used green and red inks to stamp a sentiment from the Good Cheer Sentiments 6x8 Stamps onto the white circle and used foam tape to pop it up in the center of my letterpress wreath. I trimmed a piece of red cardstock to 4" square and matted the panels onto a 4 1/4" square card base. That's it! Thanks for joining me!

LDRS Creative | Christmas Wreath Card using the Happy Holidays Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates

I created a timeless holiday card featuring a gorgeous letterpress wreath with a classic red and green color combination. Check out how the Happy Holidays and Chain Link Lattice Background Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates come together perfectly to spread some holiday cheer!

Products used -

I created my background by pressing the Chain Link Lattice Background Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate into an A2 Cotton Watercolor Panel with Kiss Me Red Hybrid Ink. I pressed the image and sentiment from the Happy Holidays Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates into a second panel using the same red ink for the sentiment and Raven Hybrid Ink for the image. Remember that since I'm using a letterpress plate, I need to use a specialized platform. Using the traditional platform and cutting plates will damage my machine.

I colored the image with a handful of alcohol markers and used the Happy Holidays Coordinating Dies to cut out the image and sentiment. I added some vellum behind the opening in the center of the wreath to help it stand out from the background. I popped up the image and sentiment with foam tape in the center of the card, and that's it!

LDRS Creative | Copic Colored Wildflower Background

Hi, everyone! It's Lynnea with a Copic colored card to share with you! The bright and happy flowers in the background pop off the page with a simple black die-cut sentiment. It all comes together so beautifully!

Products Used -

I used Raven Hybrid Ink to press the Wall Flower Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate into an A2 Cotton Watercolor Panel with my BetterPress Platform and then colored the background with Copic Markers. I used simple coloring - just two markers for each color blend - and a variety of complimentary colors. Once my panel was colored, I used the largest die from the Delicate Stitches Scalloped Oval Dies to cut the panel. I added it onto a light pink A2 card with foam tape.

Even though the flowers are the background element, I wanted them to shine. I knew I didn't want to cover too much of my colored panel, so I die-cut the "thanks" from black cardstock and the shadow from white cardstock using the Simply Word Dies and paired it with a stamped sentiment from the Simply Sentiments 4x6 Stamps. That's it! Easy peasy, but oh so pretty!

Blue to Purple Gradient Ink Blended Flowers

These blue to purple gradient letterpressed flowers make me so happy! I took the Delicate Stems Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate and turned the focal point flowers into a background design. It's easy, peasy and a great way to make my supplies go even further!

I pressed the sentiment from the Delicate Stems Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates into the center of my A2 Cotton Watercolor Panel with Raven Hybrid Ink and then pressed the flowers into the bottom left and top right corners. I used the Delicate Stems Layering Stencils to add quick and easy ink blended color the images.

A black frame and some ink spatters are all I used to complete this card. Thanks for joining me!

Golden Letterpress Cards

Check out these golden beauties! I used the Corner Meadow Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates to create two clean and simple cards. Switch up the sentiment to fit any occasion!

Products Used -

I wanted to create a frame with the Corner Meadow Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates, so I used gold pigment ink and black watercolor paper and pressed the image into the paper, turned it, and pressed the same image into the cardstock once again. My first time, I created a full rectangle frame with the image overlapping on the edges. I wasn't sure if I liked it, so I tried again after slightly shifting the press plate so that I wouldn't get an overlapped image.

I completed both cards with a die-cut and stamped sentiment from the Simply Word Dies and Simply Sentiments 4x6 Stamps. I made both of these cards in under 15 minutes. You could easily prep and mass produce this design for any occasion!

Rainbow Watercolor with Letterpress

Rainbow watercolor is an easy way to brighten up any card! See how easy it is to create a rainbow with just three colors!

Products Used -

I started my card by watercoloring a rainbow wash onto an A2 Cotton Watercolor Panel. I used just three colors of watercolor - pink, yellow, and blue - and blended and overlapped them to create the remaining colors of the rainbow. I did three layers of color, drying between each layer. Once the panel was completely dry, I added some black ink spatters and pressed the Corner Meadow Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate into the corner with Raven Hybrid Ink.

I finished the card with a die-cut sentiment from the Simply Word Dies and an additional sentiment strip from the Simply Sentiments 4x6 Stamps. That's it! Thanks for joining me!

Easy Monochromatic Letterpress Flower Card

Sometimes less color is more! See how Lynnea created a quick and easy letterpress card using the Delicate Stems Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates in shades of pink!

Products Used -

You could EASILY customize this card to be any color under the rainbow! I love pink, so I went with pink! I pressed the Braided Waves Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate into an A2 Watercolor Cotton Panel with Tickled Pink Hybrid Ink and the flower and sentiment from the Delicate Stems Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates with Raven Hybrid Ink. I added quick color to the image using the Delicate Stems Layering Stencils and trimmed the panel with the second largest Hand Torn Rectangle Die. I added the panel to my background with foam tape and that's it!

Copic Colored Wildflower Letterpress Card

My favorite thing about flowers is that they come in all shapes, sizes, and colors! I used a portion of the Wall Flower Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate from LDRS Creative to make this pretty floral card.

Products Used -

I pressed the Wall Flower Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate into an A2 Cotton Watercolor Panel with Raven Hybrid Ink to start my card. While I had my BetterPress platform out, I grabbed a strip of watercolor paper and used Raven Hybrid Ink to letterpress the sentiment from the Corner Meadow Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates into to cardstock.

I colored the floral background with Copic markers and trimmed a portion so that I could layer it at the bottom of my card. I added a white mat and added my pieces to a light blue card base. That's it! See you again soon!

Rainbow Stenciled Flowers

What's my favorite color flower? Rainbow of course! I used the Delicate Stems Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates and Layering Stencils to make this eye catching card!

I started the card by using Raven Hybrid Ink to press the sentiment and image from the Delicate Stems Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates into a Cotton Watercolor Panel. I used the Delicate Stems Layering Stencils to add color to the flowers. Rather than adding a single color, I decided to create a rainbow of color! I started with the first stencil using yellow ink in the center and then added pink to the left and blue to the right. I added a bit more pink on the right so that I could create a shade of purple. I repeated the process with a heavier hand on the second layering stencil. Once my coloring was complete, I added gold shimmer watercolor spatters and cut the panel with the Arches Dies.

I wanted some texture and pattern in my background, so I pressed the Braided Waves Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates into a Cotton Watercolor Panel with Raven Hybrid Ink. I layered the arches and added them towards the bottom of the panel. That's it! I hope you love these rainbow flowers!

2 for 1 Flower Press Plate Background Technique

The Summer Collection from LDRS Creative is FINALLY HERE! I absolutely love the new A2 Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates. Any time I can get my hands on a product that gives me a gorgeous background, I will! I used the Wall Flower Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate to make two cards at once with this oldie, but a goodie, technique.

It's so hard to capture the dimension in these cards, but trust me ... it's like MAGIC! I started by pressing the Wall Flower Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate into an A2 Cotton Watercolor Panel with Raven Hybrid Ink. I only need one panel since I will be cutting this to create two cards. Then, I pressed the Braided Waves Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate into two A2 Cotton Watercolor Panels with Alloy Hybrid Ink

I set the Braided Waves panels aside and worked with the Wall Flower Panel. I did simple Copic coloring to add color to the background. I used just 2 markers for each color - a dark and a light. I prefer to start with the darker shade and blend out with the light, but you can color however you like! Remember that LDRS Creative often puts coloring guides on the back of their packaging, so don't throw that away! Once my panel was colored, I cut it in half so that I could create two cards from one colored panel.

I cut the colored panel in half and then added a thin black strip of cardstock to the top of each panel. I adhered these onto my Braided Waves pressed backgrounds. All that's left now is a sentiment! I die cut the word "thanks" from the Simply Word Dies six times and stacked three together so that I had two sentiments stacked three high. I adhered them to the right side of the cards and that's it!

I hope you enjoyed these easy cards! The entire LDRS Creative Summer Collection is available NOW! Check back tomorrow for another video tutorial. See you then!

These gorgeous Impress-ion Press Plates and the rest of the Summer Collection will be available TOMORROW, May 30th!

This card is so simple to make and can be recreated with regular watercolors if you wish! I started by pressing the image and sentiment from the Corner Meadow Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates into an A2 Cotton Watercolor Panel with Raven Hybrid Ink

Now it's time for the fun part! I used yellow, blue, and red shimmer watercolor powders to color my image. I started with yellow, spritzed the powder with water, and then dried the color. I repeated this process with the blue and red powders and let the colors mix together to create a rainbow.

I dried the panel completely, trimmed it down to 4" x 5.25" and added it to a black A2 card base. That's it! Make sure you come back tomorrow for our Summer Collection release party! See you then!

I started by pressing the wreath image and sentiment from the Wildflower Wreath Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates into an A2 Cotton Watercolor Panel with Raven Hybrid Ink. I used two shades of orange, a light green, and a brown ink to add color to the image using the Wildflower Wreath Layering Stencils.

I trimmed the panel down to 4" square and added black watercolor ink spatters to the panel. I used foam tape and mounted the letterpress panel onto a 4.25" square black card base. That's it! Come back tomorrow for more inspiration using new products from the Summer Collection!

Ink Blended Letterpress Arch Card with Collage Stamping

Mixing techniques is one of my favorite ways to create! I mixed ink blending, letterpress, and stack and collage stamping to make this easy card.

I used my BetterPress Letterpress Platform and pressed the "sending hugs" sentiment as well as one of the arches from the Arches Hello Impress-ion Press + Foil Plates into an A2 Cotton Watercolor Panel with Raven Hybrid Ink. I used the smallest Arch Die to cut out the arch and added the sentiment on top with foam tape.

I cut a piece of white cardstock to 4" x 5.25" and used an Arch Spotlight Stencil to blend Soft Kisses Ink into the center of the panel. I kept the concentration of ink darker towards the bottom and lighter towards the top. I used Alloy and Soft Kisses Hybrid Inks to stamp various images from the Texturize It Collage 4x6 Stamps in a diagonal pattern from the bottom left towards the top right of the panel.

I used foam tape to adhere the arch die-cut piece to the center of the stamped panel and added everything to a black card base. That's it! I'll see you again soon!

Pretty Watercolored Peonies Card

Hi! It's Lynnea with a new video tutorial to share with you! I did a bit of letterpressing and a bit of watercoloring and made a simple and pretty card.

I started by letterpressing the Peony Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate into an A2 Cotton Watercolor Panel with Raven Hybrid Ink. Next I pressed the Stripes Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate right where the peonies stopped to create a striped border. I grabbed some of my favorite watercolors and added color to the pressed image. I stamped a sentiment from the Billowing Blossoms 4x6 Stamps and cut it out with the Coordinating Dies and added it towards the bottom of my panel.

All that's left to do is trim down the panel, add a blue layer, and add everything to an A2 card base! Thanks for joining me!

Pure Joy Billowing Blossoms Card

Stripes and flowers - is there anything better?! I don't think so! Watch my video tutorial to see how this easy card came together!

I used the Stripes Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate along with Bali Blue Hybrid Ink to make my background. I love the versatility of this Press Plate! I've used it on a card just once to add striped accents, but this time I decided to repeat the pattern across my entire background. Be sure to watch my video for my easy trick to make sure my background stays lined up properly and doesn't overlap!

I used Raven Hybrid Ink to stamp a sentiment and the flowers from the Billowing Blossoms 4x6 Stamps and then colored the image with Copic Markers. I kept the coloring light and breezy so that it wouldn't conflict with the bold background. I used the Billowing Blossoms Coordinating Dies to cut out the image and the sentiment and then added them to my panel with foam tape. I trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.25" and added it to a gray card base. That's it! Thanks for joining me!

Tulip Mix Background Card

I've fallen completely IN LOVE with the Tulip Mix Background Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate from LDRS Creative! I pressed it into my card, added some quick watercoloring, and finished it off with some pops of white elements. Easy peasy and perfect for spring!

I pressed the Tulip Mix Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate into an LDRS Creative A2 Cotton Panel with Raven Hybrid Ink so that I would have a crisp, black impression. I grabbed my palette of rainbow watercolors and added color to the background. I didn't use any shading, just a simple wet on dry painting technique. The impression causes valleys which displace the water, and that coupled with the line art in the image, create dimension without any added effort.

I cut the Floating Squares Die from white cardstock and positioned it hanging off the right side of my watercolored panel. I added a die cut sentiment from the Simply Word Dies and a sentiment strip from the Simply Sentiments 4x6 Stamps. I trimmed the panel and popped it up onto a white card base. That's it! Thanks so much for joining me!
