Pink & Main | No Stamping Christmas Floral Card

Need a last minute Christmas card idea? I'm a slow color-er, so when I need to whip up a card I like to stick to die cutting. I used a floral Pink & Main background die for this traditional colored card! 

This card is easy to make, but I dressed it up with some glitter and gems. These are steps you could skip if you're in a hurry or want to make a bunch of these cards! The Fancy Floral Cover Die was released earlier this year, but it's one of my favorite background dies from Pink & Main! It's versatile enough to be used for sympathy, birthday, or even Holiday cards! I die cut the Fancy Floral Cover Die four times from heavy weight cardstock and glued them together so that there would be some dimension on my card. 

You could add this die cut panel onto any color of cardstock you want - I went with classic red. I wanted it to have something extra, so I sprayed my red cardstock with glitter spray before I added the Fancy Floral Cover die-cuts on top. 

I love a chunky sentiment die and I reach for the Bold Christmas Die all the time! It's chunky and scripty and just perfect! I cut it from green cardstock and added it to vellum and then fussy cut around the vellum. The green cardstock sentiment on its own got lost against the background. Putting a layer of vellum behind it helps it to stand out. 

I embellished with some gems around the Fancy Floral Cover background and that completes my card! I hope this inspires you to get creative with your die cut backgrounds! See you soon! 

Miss Ink Stamps | Glitter Stenciled Background

I have an easy glittery stenciled design with no dry time! I used the new Blitzened Stamp Set along with my favorite stencil from Miss Ink Stamps - Circular Harlequin. 

I love the look of glittered stencils, but sometimes I just don't want to wait! Haha! Glitter Dust Spray is an awesome option when I want a hint of sparkle with no dry time. And I'm just loving this slightly nontraditional Holiday color scheme!

LDRS Creative Feature Day 2 | Slim Line Droplet Pocket Shaker Card

I have more wintery LDRS Creative inspiration to share today! I used the brand new Slim Line Droplet Pocket Die Set to make a Holiday shaker card!

The new Slim Line Pocket Dies are absolutely AMAZING! I love that they come in two pieces so you can use them together or each one individually! I used both of the Slim Line Droplet Pocket Dies together so that I could made a fun die cut window for a shaker card. 

I sprayed the die cut piece with ThermOWeb Silver Glitter Dust Spray to bring a little extra sparkle to my shaker window.

I stamped Winnie from the Polkadoodles Snowdrifts Winnie Stamp Set with Raven Ink, colored her, and cut her out and added her to the front of the card. I also added a sentiment from the Christmas Wishes Sentiment Stack. 

You can be sure I will be playing with the LDRS Creative Slim Line Pocket Dies more in the future! Keep an eye out!

Pink & Main | Shimmery Slimline Thank You Card

EVERYBODY GET EXCITED! A new release from Pink & Main hits the shop tomorrow and I have a peek at some of my favorite products in the release! 

This slimline card features two new stamp sets and one new die from Pink & Main! I love that their products mix and match together so well! I started my card by die cutting the new Sunburst Slimline Die from white cardstock. This die cuts out the inner pieces with a stitched edge, but I decided not to inlay them into my design. I wanted a peek through design instead - but nothing too busy. I wanted all the focus on the foreground. But every background needs a bit of something, right? I took a black piece of cardstock and sprayed it with a glitter spray to give it a bit of a sheet, but nothing too distracting. Then I glued the Sunburst Slimline Die Cut on top. 

The Tall Flowers Stamp Set has three different tall flower clusters to choose from. I picked my favorite and stamped and clear embossed the image onto watercolor cardstock then cut it out with the coordinating die. I used my favorite shimmer watercolors to color in the image. Now I have three elements of shine on my card - the background, the heat embossing, and the shimmer watercolors! It's the little details that make me so happy! 

My sentiment comes from the new Slimline Sayings 1 Stamp Set. There are a bunch of what I call "thick and chunky" sentiments in this stamp set. This particular sentiment actually reads "many thanks", but I didn't want the "many" on my card. I stamped the sentiment and then used my scissors to bubble cut around the sentiment and simply cut off the portion of the sentiment I didn't need.

Simon Hurley Create. Christmas Backsplash Card

Hello! I'm mixing up some products from Simon Hurley Create. to make a cute Christmas card featuring Artie the bear! He's just the cutest! Don't you think so!?

I just LOVE the Simon Hurley Create. Backsplash Stencil! I think it makes a great background and when I looked at it I thought of a bright Christmas star! I sprayed the back of the Backsplash Stencil with Pixie Spray and tacked it onto a piece of white cardstock. I blended on Bee Sting and Later Gator Simon Hurley Create. dye inks being careful not to overlap the colors too much. Before I removed the stencil I sprayed the background with Silver Glitter Dust Spray. All Christmas cards are better with glitter, right?! I wanted there to be a little more interest to my background, so I die cut the panel with a Stitched Rounded Rectangle Die.

As I looked through my Simon Hurley Create. stamps I realized that the small present in the Caroling Squad stamp set fits perfectly between the paws of the bear in the Bestest Friends stamp set! Perfect! I stamped the images onto heavy weight cardstock and colored them with my Spectrum Noir Triblend markers and trimmed them out with my scissors. I arranged my images onto the background and stamped a sentiment from the Caroling Squad stamp set onto the bottom of the panel.

I used a Spectrum Noir Clear Shimmer brush pen to add a bit of glitter to the presents to finish off the card! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Ink blending on Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets is my new favorite thing! I blended onto Blue Diamond and White Latte flock on this card and spiced up my background with Silver Glitter Dust Spray! And of course Pixie Spray came into play here! Catch my video below!
