Clean and Simple Rainbow Ornaments

Hello! I can't believe it's Christmas Eve all ready! I always find myself needing one last Christmas card, and if you're like me, you are always looking for quick and simple cards to make in a hot second! Well here's an idea for you!

I adore the WPlus9 Holiday Trimmings stamp set and I'm so excited it was brought back this year! The images are awesome...but I especially love the scripty sentiments! I stamped the ornament images with their extra doodads along with the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink in the center of the card. I wanted to create a rainbow of ornaments, so I used a variety of inks from Simon Says Stamp - Teeny Bikini, Duckling, Jellybean, High Dive, and Wisteria. It's really that simple!

Colorful Christmas Trees

Hello! I'm jumping back into Christmas cards today! You have no idea how excited I was when I saw that WPlus9 re-released the Holiday Trimmings stamps! I saw them last year for Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember and I missed out! But it's backkkkk!!!

I just wanted to make some quick and simple cards using both traditional and non-traditional colors. I used my MISTI to make things even easier!

I started with using High Dive ink from Simon Says Stamp. This is one of my favorite blue inks! I topped off the middle tree with a Hollyhock colored bow.

For my pink trees I used Cotton Candy ink from Simon Says Stamp, but I stamped it three times to intensify the color. This was super easy to do with my MISTI. I used the High Dive ink for the bow.

I used Thistle ink for the purple trees, but again, I stamped it three times to make the color slightly darker. The bow on top is Sunshine ink. I thought maybe I would do one card with traditional colors, so I did Key Lime trees with a Watermelon bow.

I stamped the tree trunk with brown ink and the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I think this set is so cute and I can't wait to create some more cards with these stamps!

Non-Holiday Stamps for Holiday Cards

Hello! Today I'm using a "technique" that I struggle with - using stamps that are not holiday themed for Christmas cards! The scientist mind of mine sometimes doesn't like to think outside the box. It's why I have trouble mixing companies and products sometimes!

I started by blending on some colors of Distress Oxide inks so that my background would be light in the middle and dark on the edges. Then I took  my darkest color of Oxide ink and stamped the main image from the Mama Elephant Water Blooms stamp set. I made sure to rotate the image each time I stamped so that it wouldn't look like the same image over and over again. Then I added some dots of silver embossing. The sentiment is from WPlus9 Be Merry.

I did the same thing but with a red background and gold embossing!

And May All Your Christmases Be Whiiiiitteee!

Hello! I'm just so in love with the Be Merry stamp set from WPlus9! I'm a teacher and I need to make some Christmas cards to give to my fellow teachers and I had an idea for a chalkboard card as soon as I saw this set! Here it is!

What do you think? These were so simple to whip up! I white heat embossed various images from the WPlus9 Be Merry stamp set onto black cardstock and added some shimmer to the flowers with a Wink of Stella clear glitter pen. Stick those babies on a card base and that's it! So easy to mass produce!

See you soon!
