LDRS Creative | Easy Stamped Mother's Day Card

Mother's Day is in less than a week! Are you ready? I grabbed some stamps from the LDRS Creative Spring Stamp Bundle and my inks and started stamping! I love how the card turned out!

I started by stamping some sentiments and flowers from the Mother's Day Collage Stamps included in the Spring Stamp Bundle. I wanted to add a finishing element to the bottom of my collage, so I grabbed the sunburst from the Welcome Sunshine Stamps, flipped it upside down, and stamped it. I trimmed 3/4" off each side of my panel and added a hand drawn black outline with a pen. 

I used the sketchy circles stamp from the Mother's Day Collage Stamps and created a funky background. I added foam tape behind my stamped focal point and that's it! This card was so easy to make and I love that you can customize the colors! I'll see you again soon!

Pink & Main | Unicorn Mother's Day Card

It will be Mother's Day before you know it and Pink & Main has the most adorable critters coming in their new release to help celebrate! 

I mixed and matched some previously released items with some new products that will be released soon! I wanted a textured background, so I started with a piece of white cardstock and embossed it using the new Ornate Tile Embossing Folder. A great way to step up your embossed backgrounds is to add just a bit of ink blending. I didn't add any ink to my brush, just lightly brushed leftover pink ink over the raised design to help it stand out. 

There are a few different critter pairings in the Love You More Stamp Set, but I chose the unicorns. Everyone loves unicorns, right?! I stamped and colored them and cut them out with the Love You More Coordinating Dies. The sentiments in this stamp set are great for Mother's Day, Father's Day, and more! I stamped one of them and cut it out with a die from the Large Sentiment Strip Dies. 

I added a bit of pizzaz by cutting a piece of pink glitter cardstock from the Summer Glitter Paper Pack with a Zig Zag Circle die and a slightly larger circle from vellum. I used layers of foam tape to pop up all of the pieces and add them to my card. That's it! I'll see you soon!

LDRS Creative | March Features Day 2

How about some simple die-cut flowers on a pretty patterned paper for Mother's Day? I have a quick video on YouTube walking you through my process. 

I LOVE how the Lovely Watercolor 6x6 Papers do all the work for you! I cut one with the largest die from the A2 Diagonal Stitched Layered Card Toppers to use as my background and cut flowers from the Floral Scallop Slimline Die Set from white cardstock as well as patterned paper and pieced them together. 

I stamped a sentiment from the Special Occasions Stamp Set with Raven Hybrid Ink and cut it with the Special Occasions Die Set. 

I added everything to the front of the card and let the flowers hang slightly off the left side of the card for a bit more interest. That's it! Thanks for joining me!

LDRS Creative | March Features Day 1

You won't believe how easy it was to make this card! A little stamping and layered stenciling is all it took! 

The Wild Flowers Slimline Stamp Set can be used on slimline cards, mini slimline cards, A2 cards, and more! I stamped the image with Raven Hybrid Ink near the bottom of my card and embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder. 

I used the Wild Flowers Slimline Layering Stencils and a bunch of LDRS Creative Hybrid Inks to add quick color to the flowers. One of my favorite ways to add interest to a background is by adding shimmer watercolors! I stamped a sentiment from the Special Occasions Stamp Set with Watermark Emboss Ink and heat embossed with gold powder to match the watercolor backgrounds and cut out the sentiment with the Special Occasions Die Set. 

I added the sentiment with foam tape and added some gold baubles for extra shine. Thanks for joining me! 

ThermOWeb | Mother's Day Cards with Flock and Toner Sheets

Mother's Day is right around the corner and the Deco Foil Blossom Buddies Toner Card Fronts with Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets from ThermOWeb are PERFECT for Mother's Day cards!

These two cards have so much texture it's incredible! Let's start with the backgrounds. I like to start with my "wet mediums" that will take some time to dry so that I can work on the other parts of my card in the mean time. It makes me feel like I'm getting more done at once! Haha! I wanted to create some greenery to go with the Blossom Buddies Toner Card Fronts, so I grabbed the Leafy Greens Stencil from Miss Ink Stamps, sprayed the back with Pixie Spray, and used my Stencil Pal to spread Deco Foil Transfer Gel DUO over the stencil. I repeated the process on a second piece of cardstock so that I could make two cards at once and set the panels to the side to dry for a few hours. 

You'll know when the Deco Foil Transfer Gel DUO is dry because it will turn clear and be only slightly tacky. Let's add some fuzzy texture! I placed a piece of Green Envy Deco Foil Flock fuzzy side down into the DUO Gel and ran it through my die cutting machine to Flock into the stenciled design. I LOVE the raised texture! 

I used one of each of the Blossom Buddies Slim Line Toner Card Fronts for my cards. I foiled the rose buds design with Orange Sketch Brutus Monroe Foil Transfer Sheets and the bursting bouquet pattern with Lilac Deco Foil. I used Deco Foil Parchment Paper and placed the foil onto my toner sheets pretty side up and ran them through my laminator. 

I wanted to add even more texture and Flock to my card, so I die cut frames using the LDRS Creative Slim Line Scallop Die Set from Sunshine Yellow and Think Pink Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets. Did you know you can die cut Flock just like paper?! I also cut the "happy" sentiment from the same colors of Flock using the My Favorite Things Happy Birthday Script Die. 

I started adding the frames and the die cut sentiments with iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive and then stamped and cut out small sentiment strips from the Pink & Main Spring Sentiments Stamp Set and added them on top with iCraft 3D Foam Strips.

Simon Hurley create. || Quick Last Minute Comic Style Mother's Day Cards

I am fortunate to have many women in my life who have and still do serve as a mother to me. They've each pulled me out of some kind of darkness at one point or another in my life and I value each of them. But that means that I need to make a lot of cards this time of year! And unfortunately ... with everything happening in the world these days time got away from me. Yikes! Thankfully the Simon Hurley create. Supermom! Stamp Set is perfect!

Many times Mother's Day cards are soft and elegant, but I decided to celebrate Mother's Day with a POW! and use the Supermom! Stamp Set to make some super themed cards!

These cards were very quick to pull together. I made all three in about thirty minutes. I grabbed some bright and happy Dye Inks from Simon Hurley create. and did some quick stamping and coloring on Simon Hurley create. Stark White Cardstock. I used the "POW" and "WOW" stamps from the Sumpermom! Stamp Set and stamped them to cover the backgrounds on three cards. I used Guppy Dye Ink on one card, Tropical Tango Dye Ink on a second, and Crown Me Dye Ink on a third.

I wanted an easy and quick way to add color to the backgrounds, so I used a Dove Blender Pen. This is an inexpensive tool and very easy to use! I smooshed a few colors of Simon Hurley create. Dye Inks onto my glass work surface and picked up the color with the Dove Blender Pen and quickly colored in the words on the backgrounds. I used a mix of Slippery When Wet, Prom Queen, Traffic Cone, Rosy Cheeks, and Overzealous for my coloring.

I stamped and white heat embossed a few sentiments from the Supermom! Stamp Set onto black cardstock and die cut a frame from Stark White Cardstock and adhered them together. I added foam to the back of the sentiment pieces before I added them to each of the cards.

And there you go! Quick Supermom! cards for Mother's Day or any other time you want to thank your mom!

Simon Hurley create. // Quirky Mother's Day Card

Time for another fun and quirky Mother's Day Card using the new release from Simon Hurley create.! I'm using more of my favorites - the Jewel Heist Background Stamp, Supermom! Stamp Set, and the Prom Queen new ink color!

I wanted to have a fun background for my supermom, so I took advantage of the pull apart feature of the Jewel Heist background stamp. I pulled the background stamp apart and used just the bottom portion on my card. I lined up the Jewel Heist background stamp across the center of a piece of Stark White Cardstock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I used a piece of Purple Tape across the top and bottom of the heat embossed image and masked off the portions of the card that weren't heat embossed. I used a Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and started blending Prom Queen Dye Ink at the bottom, moved into Guppy in the middle, and finished with Over the Moon Dye Ink at the top for an ombre look.

I stamped the cityscape, puppy, and supermom images from the Supermom! Stamp Set onto Stark White Cardstock and colored them with alcohol markers. I trimmed them out with scissors and added them on top of my ink blended card with foam tape.

I added a couple of sentiments from the Supermom! Stamp Set to the bottom right of the card and that finishes this quirky scene! I'll see you again soon!

Mother's Day Shaker Card

Hi! The Gorgeous Vases stamp set from Pink & Main is great for so many occasions! I decided to get a jump on Mother's Day and create a fun shaker card!

I love stamping my own backgrounds, and the new line of Plaid stamps make it so easy! There are three large 6x6 Plaid stamps and you can use one, two, or all three of them to build a background! I used a gray ink and stamped the Plaid 2 and Plaid 3 stamps onto a card base to create my background. I stamped out a few images from the Gorgeous Vases stamp set and colored the flowers with alcohol markers and die cut them with the coordinating Gorgeous Vases dies.

I die cut the largest of the Reverse Scallop Rectangle dies from some white cardstock. I adhered acetate to the back of the frame and then created a "well" with foam tape around the outside of the Reverse Scallop Rectangle frame. I filled up the "well" with a sequin mix and added it on top of my stamped background.

I adhered my images from the Gorgeous Vases stamp set onto the front of the shaker. I stamped the sentiment from the Spring Sentiments stamp set and die cut it with a die from the Sentiment Strip die set and added that over the center of the vase with foam tape.
