LDRS Creative | Fun in the Sunny Woods Card Kit

Let’s create with the Fun In the Sunny Woods Card Kit! In today’s video, I’m sharing 6 cards using this adorable “just add adhesive” kit - perfect for quick and easy cardmaking! If you follow the kit as intended, you can create 12 complete cards with everything included. But I wanted to take it a step further and show you how to stretch your supplies even more!

I start by creating 2 cards exactly as the kit is designed - perfect for when you want something fast and stress-free. Then, I create 4 additional cards by mixing, altering, and reimagining the kit elements to get even more variety and value from your kit.

For each of my first two cards, I used a card base, A2 topper, matching die cut scene, coordinating die-cut characters, and a sentiment. I used foam tape behind each of the pieces to give the cards lots of dimension. Easy peasy and I created both cards in about 5 minutes!

My third card uses the same kit elements as the first two - a topper, frame, ephemera and sentiment - but I changed the topper a bit by trimming it down to 4" x 5 1/4". This gives just a little bit of a white border. I brought in some twine from my stash and wrapped it around the left side of the card. Such an easy way to step up the card just a little bit!

Now we're going to start changing things up! The Fun In The Sunny Woods Card Kit is designed to make 12 cards, but you can definitely stretch that! For my fourth card, I decided to leave off the die-cut frame and create a card without it. That reserves the topper for another card. You could easily layer it onto some cardstock or patterned paper and bring in a sentiment from your stash. I wanted to add something special, so I cut the edge with the Stepped Edge Die. I added the die-cut characters and a sentiment and this one is done!

But what if you don't want to use either of the scenic pieces? No problem! Save BOTH of them for one (or two!) additional cards. I cut a piece of patterned paper from the Wildwood 5x7 Paper Pack and added it to the bottom of an A2 card and added one of the character die-cuts and sentiments from the Fun In The Sunny Woods Card Kit to the top. Super easy and so adorable!

My sixth and last card uses some more of the papers from the Wildwood 5x7 Paper Pack as well as die-cut characters, a sentiment, and one of the die-cut scenic frames from the Fun In The Sunny Woods Card Kit. The frame pieces in the card kit are the same size as the largest die from the Rounded Rectangle Frame Dies, so you can easily use that set of dies to create some layers. I used the 2nd largest die to cut the frame piece from the kit and layered it onto a white die-cut panel. I popped up the coordinating die-cut characters, a sentiment, and added it to a background I created with patterned paper strips.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the Fun In The Sunny Woods Card Kit in action! Take these ideas and run with them - whether you're creating quick and easy cards straight from the kit, or changing the kit to make some additional cards. I'll see you soon!

LDRS Creative | Wildwood Bundle - 5 Cards 1 Kit

Create some winter magic with the Wildwood Bundle from LDRS Creative! In this video, I’ll walk you through everything included in the Wildwood Bundle and then share 5 inspiring card ideas - from quick and simple to more detailed and layered designs. You’ll see how easy it is to create beautiful projects straight from the kit, as well as how to mix in elements from your stash to stretch your supplies even further. Let's get started!

My first card is the simplest and can be made in 2 minutes! Just choose your topper and matching card base from the Wildwood Card Kit, add some snow rub-ons to the topper as well as a rub-on sentiment, and add the topper to the matching base with foam tape. DONE!

This one is just a little more involved, but still easy peasy. I chose some of the Wildwood Patterned Papers and added them to the bottom of the bird card base. I added some snow to the matching bird topper and created a sentiment label and tag with the gold rub-on sentiments. I used the Wildwood Sentiment Tag & Frame Dies to cut out both pieces and added them to the card with some foam tape and a little bow.

I've created many more than just the 5 cards in this video, so I had some strips of patterned paper left over and decided to use them to create a custom background. You can use your scraps, or just cut various widths of your favorite patterns to get the look. Once I adhered the paper strips to my card, I used the gold foil rub-on stars to add some shine to the background. I altered the wolves topper by cutting it down with one of the Elegant Pinpoint Rectangle Dies and cut an additional layer from vellum. I layered everything together and added a sentiment to the top left.

I wanted to show you a way to stretch your bundle and step outside of the traditional A2 card size, so I used my supplies to make a 5.25" x 5.5" card. I used the Arches Dies and trimmed down the bears topper and the matching card base to create a layered, shaped focal point. I added some gold rub-on stars to the top panel and then layered everything together onto some patterned paper and specialty cardstock. A bit of twine and some gold gems pulled everything together.

While we're on the path of making larger cards, I decided to make a 5x7 card - I know a lot of you love that size! The Wildwood Papers are 5x7, so it was easy to trim down a couple of patterns and add them to a card base. I used the Elegant Pinpoint Rectangle Dies to cut into the deer topper and then created a layer from white cardstock. I wrapped some twine around the focal point and finished off the card with a tiny tag and sentiment.

That's it! I hope you're inspired to make something beautiful with the Wildwood Bundle! See you again soon!

LDRS Creative | Hey Friend Kit - Wish You Were Here

I LOVE the new Hey Friend Kit from LDRS Creative sold exclusively through Scrapbook.com! It's such a fun kit! I paired the pretty florals with an easy paper strip herringbone background.

I stamped the florals from the Hey Friend Kit with Raven Hybrid Ink and used Clear Embossing Powder to heat set the ink so that it wouldn't smudge. I used LDRS Creative Blender Brushes and used the four layering stencils along with Marina Madness, Bali Blue, Key Lime Pie, and Four Leaf Hybrid Inks to add color to the images. Then I die cut them and a sentiment with the coordinating dies included in the Hey Friend Kit.

Next up - the background! I love the Background Strip Dies from LDRS Creative. I often use them as accents or to create diagonal striped backgrounds, but today I decided to go with a herringbone type background. I used the 1/4" Slimline Background Strip Die and cut a dark and light shade of pink cardstock and a dark and light shade of yellow cardstock. I covered a piece of cardstock with a double sided adhesive and started adding strips of cardstock. Be sure to check out my video to see how easy it was to build this background!

Once the background was completed I used the second largest die from the A2 Stitched Layered Card Toppers and cut the patterned background and used the largest die to cut a layer of white cardstock.

I cut a scalloped circle from the Just a Note Dies from white cardstock and trimmed off the left side so that it would hang off the edge of my background. I arranged the flowers from the Hey Friend Kit and added them with foam tape and popped a sentiment up on top. That's it! So simple, but so colorful!

Remember that the Hey Friend Kit from LDRS Creative is sold exclusively at Scrapbook.com. Quantities are limited and once the kit is gone, it's gone! Happy shopping!

LDRS Creative 5 Cards 1 Kit | Pastry Pals Exclusive Craft Kit

The new Pastry Pals Exclusive Craft Kit from LDRS Creative has just been revealed and it's the CUTEST! Check out my 5 cards 1 kit video for the details of the kit and how to make 5 cute cards!

As always, the LDRS Creative Exclusive Craft Kits are limited edition and once they sell out you won't be able to get all of the items together for the special kit price - so shop fast!

I brought in some extra goodies from LDRS Creative to make these cards, but you can alter and edit these designs to use just the items from the craft kit if you want!

I decided to start out with the Circles Layering Stencils from the kit and create a simple background. I blended Key Lime Pie, Tropical Sea, and Banana Cream Pie over each of the tree stencils and just like that I had a fun and whimsical background! I die cut a label shape die from the Elegant Stitched Frames Slimline Die Set (not included) and blended a bit of Banana Cream Pie Hybrid Ink onto the bottom fading out to white at the top. I stamped a sentiment from the Pastry Pals Stamp Set and colored it in with alcohol markers. I stamped the cute donut and donut hole image with Raven Hybrid Ink and colored them and then die cut them with the coordinating dies and popped them onto my label to finish off the first card!

This card is super cute and so simple to make! I started by die cutting a piece of white cardstock with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Layered Card Toppers Die Set and then I cut the pieces down using a border die from the Offset Slimline Stack-ables Die Set (from the kit). I thought this particular border reminded me of icing on a cake! I lightly blended Soft Kisses Hybrid Ink over the border edge and faded out to white on the opposite edges. I picked a piece of patterned paper from the Sweet Sensations 6x6 Paper Pack and added it to a 4.25" square card. I popped up the stitched border pieces on top of the patterned paper and added the cute little singing cupcake and sentiment to my card. A sprinkling of pastel colored baubles from my stash completes the card!

Here's the simplest card of the bunch! I die cut the large polka dot patterned paper from the Sweet Sensations 6x6 Paper Pack with one of the border dies from the Offset Slimline Stack-ables Die Set and popped it up with foam on top of the red polka dot patterned paper. I stamped and colored the muffin and cinnamon roll from the Pastry Pals Stamp Set and used the coordinating die set to cut them out. I stamped the matching sentiment and fussy cut it with my scissors and added my elements to the card with foam tape.

I decided to really glam up my fourth card and show you a different way to use the Circle Layering Stencils from the kit! I used Grape Ape Hybrid Ink over one of the stencils and then added spatters of gold shimmer watercolor. You could choose a different stencil, but I decided to take the same stencil I used with the purple ink, rotate it twice, shift it slightly and place it down on my card once again. I used Deco Foil Transfer Gel DUO from ThermOWeb and added the gel over the stencil and let the panel dry. Once it was dry I used my die cutting machine to transfer green foil over the gel. Now I have a pretty background with ink, shimmer, and foil! I colored a green and purple pastry treat from the Pastry Pals Stamp Set to match my background and popped them up on the card. I love all the shine!

I decided to go bold and bright for my last card! I grabbed a piece of Watercolor Slimline 4x9 Paper and used my neon watercolors to paint diagonal stripes across the paper. I added some flicks of black watercolor for texture. I die cut the scallop frame using the Slimline Scallop Die Set (sold separately) and added foam tape behind the frame. I cut away the overhang of the watercolor background and added the piece onto a slimline card. I stamped and colored a bunch of the Pastry Pal images and arranged them across the middle of my card. I added a hand cut birthday sentiment to finish the card.

I hope you've enjoyed all five of these cards! I'd love to know which is your favorite! Remember to head to the LDRS Creative store and grab your Pastry Pals Exclusive Card Kit before they sell out! Happy crafting!

Pink & Main | 5 Cards 1 Kit Homespun Christmas Kit

The September release from Pink & Main is here and it includes the FABULOUS Homespun Christmas Kit! I made a 5 cards 1 kit video to show off the amazingness of this kit!

I'm in love with the Homespun Christmas Kit! Perfect for both traditional and non traditional Holiday projects. This kit is not part of the regular Crafty Courtyard subscription and WILL need to be purchased separately. Grab it up quick! There are limited quantities and it's a fabulous kit! There is so much packed into this kit - a large 6x8 stamp set WITH coordinating dies, a full patterned paper pack as well as a pack of foiled cardstock, a stencil, and MORE!

I went classic and simple with my first card. I used the Pink & Main Stitched Rectangles 1 Die Set to cut out various patterned papers from the Homespun Christmas Kit and stacked them together. I added a bit of baker's twine from my stash for a small detailed accent and added the mason jar of poinsettias in the center of my card. This image is gorgeous! You can color the poinsettias traditionally as I have or color them with teals for a non traditional look.

I can't create with a card kit without creating a shaker card! I decided to mix traditional and non traditional colors on my card. I used the Reverse Scalloped Rectangle Dies to cut out a frame from a piece of patterned paper and used acetate and foam tape to create a shaker well. I filled it with sequins from the kit and backed it with a cream colored paper. I colored the bells and stamped a sentiment and added them to the center of the shaker.

My third project is a tag - I thought it would be cute to have something a bit different! I used the stencil included in the Homespun Christmas Kit and stenciled some light brown ink onto white cardstock and used the Fancy Tag Die Set to cut my tag shapes. I accented with some of the gold foil cardstock in the kit and added a sentiment strip and the candy cane image.

I liked the stencil so much that I decided to use it again and stretch it across a slimline card! I ink blended with a light blue ink and then shifted the stencil to the right and blended ink over the rest of the panel. I used the frame die from the Blessings Slimline Die Set to create a nice scalloped edge and added the lantern and a sentiment.

I went with non traditional colors for my last card - lime green and pink! And I colored the stocking with some aqua markers, too! I used the Concave Rectangles Die Set and hung the die-cut piece off the edge of the card for some interest. The patterned papers in the Homespun Christmas Kit are stunning!

I am over the moon in love with the Homespun Christmas Kit! Remember that it's a limited edition kit and not part of the regular Crafty Courtyard subscription, so hurry over to the Pink & Main Store and grab yours!

I chose a patterned paper from the kit and cut it down using the Slimline Dainty Scallop Edge Die. Since the papers in the kit are 6x8 you can use them for just about any size card! I created a shaped card base by cutting a second background from white cardstock and scoring 1/2" from the top and adhering the pieces together.

5 Cards 1 Kit | LDRS Creative Sweet Birthday Wishes Exclusive Craft Kit

It is SO easy and FUN to make birthday cards using the Sweet Birthday Wishes Exclusive Craft Kit from LDRS Creative! I made 5 cards and still have more ideas!

The possibilities with the Sweet Birthday Wishes Craft Kit are truly endless! I put my personal style into each of these 5 cards, but I love that the products are created in such a way that you can do whatever you like with them! How fun would it be to create a scrapbook page or mini album to celebrate someone's birthday!? Remember! The Sweet Birthday Wishes Craft Kit is limited edition and once it's gone it won't be restocked, so be sure to grab yours from the LDRS Creative store! You get two stamp sets, a die set, papers, and more!

I was drawn to the falling confetti patterned paper and the "happy" bubble balloons (as I call them!) for my first card. I LOVE that there is a coordinating die set for this stamp set to easily cut out the balloons and the strings! I cut the patterned paper with the outer die from the Slim Line Basket Weave Pocket Die Set and added my elements with foam tape for a super fun pocket sized card!

A new item in the Sweet Birthday Wishes Craft Kit are foilable acetate sheets! You definitely don't have to foil them (example of that to follow!), but I just HAD to! I heated up my laminator, placed a piece of gold foil (pretty side up!) onto the acetate sheet, and ran it through with a carrier sheet. Just look at that pretty shine! Of course I needed MORE sparkle, so I used a piece of the gorgeous blue glitter cardstock from the kit for my background. I created a frame by stacking together the two largest dies in the A2 Stitched Layered Card Toppers Die Set and added that around the outside.

I finished off this shiny card with a hot pink circle cut from the Scalloped Circle Frames Die Set and layered a Stitched Circle Die on top with my sentiment. I used up my confetti patterned paper from the first card by die cutting it with dies included in the Sweet Birthday Wishes Craft Kit

Let's use two more of the acetate sheets on this card! They are sized perfectly to layer onto an A2 panel, so I trimmed down the yellow cardstock from the kit and added an acetate sheet on top. This one is not foiled and you can see how special it is straight from the package! These acetate sheets would also be GREAT as fronts for shaker cards! There is an acetate sheet that has birthday messages, so I cut it up and used it for my sentiment! I foiled the "happy birthday" and "let's eat cake" with gold foil and adhered it onto the hot pink cardstock from the kit and added the strips with foam to my card. A few enamel dots from my stash finishes off my third card!

My fourth card took a few twists and turns, but it's ended up being my favorite of the bunch! You can check out my video for all the changes I made! I used Alloy Hybrid Ink to stamp a sentiment repeatedly across a white background. The effect is so light and soft! I stamped the three balloons and used some creative masking to fill the balloons with flower clusters using Dan-D-Lion, Fandango, and Key Lime Pie Hybrid Inks. I stamped the same sentiment I used for my background with Raven Hybrid Ink and trimmed it into a strip. I just love that this card can be used as a birthday card, graduation card, anniversary, etc! Just goes to show that you don't have to stick strictly to birthday cards with this kit!

I couldn't leave this kit without using my FAVORITE patterned paper! I'm a sucker for geometric patterns and these colors are to die for! I created a shaker frame by nesting together two dies from the Scalloped Circle Frames Die Set, created a simple shaker with stars and confetti pieces, and added the adorable three layer cake stamped image on top!

And there you have it! Five easy cards using the LDRS Creative Sweet Birthday Wishes Exclusive Craft Kit! This kit is amazingly fun to work with and you can create so many cards. I hope these projects inspire you! Remember that the Sweet Birthday Wishes Craft Kit is limited edition, so grab it while you can!

LDRS Creative | Dream Big Craft Kit Slim Line Pocket Card

Hey, hey! I have even MORE inspiration to share using the latest craft kit from LDRS Creative! I used some previously released items along with the items in the craft kit to show how well everything in the LDRS Creative shop works together!

I just can't seem to put down the Dream Big Exclusive Craft Kit! There are so many new favorites in this kit! Especially the Magical Skies Stencil. I can't even describe how PERFECT this stencil is! I started my background by blending Tickled Pink, Dan-D-Lion, and Bali Blue Hybrid Inks over the stencil. I LOVE how these inks overlap to create a full rainbow of color! I stamped the Mountains Stamp onto black cardstock with Watermark Emboss Ink and heat embossed the image with White Embossing Powder. I used the coordinating Mountains Border Die to cut out my mountain range.

As I was laying out my scene I decided it would look best as a slim line pocket sized card, but I wanted a pretty stitched border around my scene. I adhered the Mountains heat embossed image onto the bottom of my stenciled card base and used the outer die from the Slim Line Droplet Pocket Die Set to cut both pieces together. This gives me a continuous stitched detail around the outside of my card. I stamped some cutie patootie images from the Dream Big Stamp Set included in the craft kit with Raven Hybrid Ink and colored them with alcohol inks and added them to the bottom of my scene.

I finished the card by stamping a sentiment and some stars onto a die-cut from the Folded Ribbon Banner Die Set and added it to the top of my card allowing it to hang off a bit. No worries though! This card will still fit perfectly into an A2 sized envelope even with the sentiment hanging off a bit. Thanks so much for joining me!
