Miss Ink Stamps | Ice Day Sneak Peek

The Thanksgiving Holiday weekend is almost here and Miss Ink Stamps is celebrating with a winter release! I'm sneaking the Ice Day Stamp Set with this fun slider card! 

There will be FOUR new stamp sets released on Small Business Saturday - November 27th! They are perfect for all of your wintery cards! 

I created my background by blending Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry,  and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Inks over the Frosty Flakes Stencil. I let all the colors mix so that I would get a full rainbow without any effort. 

As soon as I saw the little penguin on his belly in the Ice Day Stamp Set (releasing on the 27th!) I knew that I wanted to make a slider card with him sliding down the iceburg! I stamped three of the penguins, some Santa hats, and the iceburg and colored them with Copics and cut them out with scissors. 

Once I had my images and background ready to go I created a simple slider card. Check out my video above to see how the interactive portion of the card came together!

Whimsy Stamps Friday Frenzy | Aussie Friends Slider Card

 Hi, friends! I'm showing you an EASY way to use some Whimsy Stamps products to create a slider card. This tutorial will show you the basics allowing you to go wild and create more elaborate slider cards! 

Aren't those little kangaroos scooting across the card adorable? They're from the brand new Aussie Friends Stamp Set. And so is the little koala, too! 

I paired the new Aussie Friends Stamp Set with the Quilted Rainbow Inlaid Die Set from a previous release as well as a bit of ink blending. I love the colors together! Then I created a simple slider mechanism with the Kinetic Straight Basics Die Set to give the kangaroo some motion.

LDRS Creative | Bunny Band Pals Seesaw Slider Card

I love when interactive die sets are easy to work with! And the Seesaw Slider Die Set from LDRS Creative is so super easy! I paired it with the Bunny Band Pals stamp set for a cute little country scene. Hope you enjoy!

I've created a video tutorial so you can watch and see just how easy it is to put together the Seesaw Slider mechanism and create a fun little card. And really it's so easy! I love seeing one little critter pop up while the other pops down. Just makes me smile!

I used the Bunny Band Pals Stamp Set for all of my cute critters and other images. This is one of the Pocket Pals Stamp Sets from LDRS Creative. I love these little Pocket Pals Stamps! There are so many cute images that are smaller so you can build a whole scene without overwhelming the card. And since the images are small they don't require a lot of fancy coloring and blending - which is perfect for me!

I stamped all of the images from the Bunny Band Pals Stamp Set with Raven Hybrid Ink and colored them with alcohol markers. I die cut the images with the Bunny Band Pals Die Set and played around with the arrangement of the scene on my card. You want to make sure you do any stamping or ink blending on the card front before you do the die cutting and assembling of the Seesaw Slider mechanism. I didn't - and I kept that in the video so that you could see my mistakes. I make mistakes all the time! And I try my best to just roll with the punches! I used the Rainy Day Stencil to create a simple ink blended background. I used Marina Madness Hybrid Ink to create the cloudy sky and Prickly Pear Perfection to create the grass at the bottom of the card.

From there I die cut all the pieces for the Seesaw Slider mechanism. Be sure to watch the video above! I have some tips and tricks for assembling this easy interactive card. One of my biggest tips is to use plenty of powder tool ( like you would use for embossing ) along the parts of the card where paper slides on paper. The friction of the paper sometimes prevents the mechanism from moving smoothly and the powder helps a lot! And don't be afraid of foam tape either! This card has two layers of foam tape to adhere the background panel to the card and many of the elements on the front have two layers as well. The more foam tape the better! I even "modified" the slider slightly because I didn't want my bunnies popping up too far - I didn't want the one to pop up too far off of the stage and the other one popping up too far off the fence.

This card turned out super cute! And I love how the little bunny pops up onto the stage to sing and the other pops up from behind the fence to play a little song! See you soon!

LDRS Creative March Feature Day 2 // Seesaw Slider Encouragement Card

Hello again! I have more inspiration using the Spring 2020 Collection from LDRS Creative! Today I made a cute encouragement card with the Up and Away stamp set and the Seesaw Slider Die set!

The Seesaw Slider Die makes an interactive card where one image moves down while the other moves up. I just love it! There are endless possibilities! I wanted to have a theme carry over from yesterday's card, so I decided to blend a rainbow background once again. This time I used the Rainy Day Stencil and a variety of inks from the new 12 Hybrid Ink colors. - Soft Kisses, Banana Cream Pie, Tangerine Dreams, Pistachios-a-Plenty, Prickly Pear Perfection, Marina Madness, and Fairie Dust. I needed to add a bit more ink at the bottom of the panel so I added another cloudy border using Soft Kisses.

Once my rainbow background was complete I die cut the necessary pieces to build the Seesaw Slider Die and assembled the mechanism. I stamped some images from the Up and Away stamp set with Raven Hybrid Ink and colored them with alcohol markers and die cut them with the Up and Away dies. I also stamped a coordinating sentiment with Raven Hybrid Ink at the top center of my card.

I finished off my card by adding a die cut border with the Over the Hills die and a peeking sun from the Here Comes the Sun die. I added Pistachios-a-Plenty ink to the Over the Hills die and Tangerine Dreams to the Here Comes the Sun die for dimension. Gnome Slider Card

Hello! I have the cutest of cute slider cards to share with you today! I used products from a bunch of different companies for this one. I'm really pushing myself to mix up my goodies! I struggle with mixing companies together...I don't know why! 

Isn't it so cute?! I started by cutting out Lawn Fawn's Leafy Tree backdrop from cream colored cardstock...backwards! I die cut it and flipped my piece on it's back because I wanted my tree on the right. Then I masked off the edges and added some Distress Ink to the tree. I also die cut two pieces of green cardstock with the Stitched Trees Border dies also from Lawn Fawn. I wanted my tree trunks to be brown, so I die cut the same dies from white cardstock and used some Vintage Photo Distress Ink to give the tree trunks some brown color and glued them on top. The leaves and tree backgrounds are from yellow, orange, and red cardstocks. While I was die cutting I also cut out the Radiant Sun and Cloud 9 dies from My Favorite Things. I used Lawn Fawn's Slide on Over dies to die cut a slider panel in the foremost green piece of cardstock.

I love this little gnome and hedgehog from an old Studio Calico stamp set. Seriously, so cute! I used Copic markers to color them in. I also added some color to the outside of the clouds with Distress Ink.

As with all of my cards, I added a healthy amount of Wink of Stella to almost everything! All but the background and the trees have glitter! My hedgehog is stationary, but the little gnome slides back and forth! So cute!
