I wanted to make a fun beach "scene" that didn't take a lot of effort. I am all about simple and easy cards with a bit of flair! I sprayed the back of the Ocean Waves Stencil from LDRS Creative with Pixie Spray and adhered it towards the bottom of an A2 card panel. I used a bit of Purple Tape to mask off the top portion of my cardstock because I tend to get a bit messy! I used a Stencil Pal to spread some Deco Foil Transfer Gel Blanco over the stencil and set the panel aside to dry.
How absolutely EXCITED are you for the new line of Rina K Designs Electro - POP neon products?! I'm freaking out!! I super love the four colors of Neon Glitz Glitter Gels!
These four cards were very simple to make, but I have lots of photos, so buckle up! You're about to get a big dose of glittery neon goodness!
I started out by stamping a BUNCH of the sweet images from the Sweet Stuff stamp set with six of the Electro - POP ink colors. I used the four colors that match the new Neon Glitz Glitter Gels - Poppin Pink, Orange Glow, Hello Yellow, and Screamin Green - as well as Blaring Blue and Potent Purple. I stamped the donut, popsicle, and scoop of ice cream with each of the six neon colors and each of the cones six times with some tan colored ink. That gave me 24 sweet treats to work with!
Every single one of these treats needed an extra punch of neon and some glitter! I used the four colors of Rina K Designs Neon Glitz Glitter Gel - Poppin Pink, Orange Glow, Hello Yellow, and Screamin Green - with the Sweet Stuff Stencil to add details to each of the treats. This is so easy to do! I sprayed the back of the Sweet Stuff Stencil with Pixie Spray and lined up the stencil detail with the stamped treat and used a Stencil Pal to spread some Neon Glitz Glitter Gel over the top. I simply used a baby wipe to clean the stencil and then moved on to the next treat and the next color of Neon Glitz Glitter Gel until all of my images had glittery goodness!
I set the pieces aside to dry and worked on my backgrounds. I used the Sweet Stuff Stencil again, but this time I used the waffle cone pattern with the Electro - POP inks. I used the same six colors I used for stamping so that everything would coordinate - Poppin Pink, Orange Glow, Hello Yellow, Screamin Green, Blaring Blue, and Potent Purple. I used finger tip sponge daubers and added little blobs of color here and there on the background - keeping blendable colors next to each other. I used some Purple Tape to mask off the stencil and once I had one strip of stenciling done I shifted the stencil to the right and continued blending so that I could have a full background. I did this for three backgrounds. So much neon inky goodness!
It seems like I'm always saying that I can't pick a favorite color from the Rina K Designs Neon Electro -POP lineup! I wanted to play with the Neon Glitz Glitter Gels and really see what they look like as full stenciled backgrounds. Might as well do all the colors, right?!
I sprayed the back of the Pink & Main Petals Stencil with Pixie Spray and temporarily adhered the stencil onto a piece of white cardstock. I used a Stencil Pal to spread some of the Neon Glitz Glitter Gel over the stencil and then peeled back the stencil to reveal the glittery neon goodness! I used a baby wipe to wipe away the extra Neon Glitz Glitter Gel and placed the stencil onto another piece of cardstock and spread on another color of the Neon Glitz.
These backgrounds are just PERFECT! They remind me of summer! I set them aside to dry while I worked on the rest of the pieces for my project. Glitz Glitter Gel doesn't take long to dry - another reason to love this product! My backgrounds were ready to go in about an hour!
I'm completely head over heels in LOVE with the Neon Enamel Transfer Sheets! They are shiny and remind me of the hard candy coating on a gumball! There are so many ways to use them! One of my favorite products is the White Double Sided Foam Adhesive Sheets. These are great for cutting with a paper trimmer or die cutting. I've always loved using them with foils, but I think I have a new favorite product to use them with! The Neon Enamel Transfer Sheets! You should have seen my excitement when I die cut them for the first time! PERFECTION!
I die cut all four colors of the Neon Enamel Transfer Sheets with the Heart Puzzle Die and pulled apart the pieces and then (quite literally) puzzle pieced them back together to create multicolored heart puzzle embellishments! Every one of them is different, but similar! I glued them onto my backgrounds with iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive. This adhesive is AMAZING! It holds tight onto textures like the Neon Glitz Glitter Gel backgrounds.
All that's left to do is finish off these cards with a sentiment. I thought about adding a white die cut sentiment, but I decided to go with black. I think the black and neons work together fabulously! I used the Pink & Main Thanks Dies and Hello Dies. I cut three times from black cardstock for each sentiment and stacked them together with iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive and glued the sentiment to the center of the die cut heart puzzle. The Sweet Stuff stamp set is full of so many yummy images - donuts, ice cream, popsicles - oh my! I knew I would be using the Electro-POP inks, so I decided to go with the popsicle images because a bright and happy popsicle makes my heart dance! I stamped out the popsicle images with Potent Purple, Raging Red, Blaring blue, and Screamin' Green Electro-POP inks from Rina K Designs. I cut out each popsicle and sprayed the back of the Sweet Stuff stencil with Pixie Spray so that I could add glittery details to the popsicles. I used the new Rina K Designs Neon Glitz Glitter Gels. They pair so perfectly with her ink line! I used Hello Yellow on the purple popsicle, Screamin' Green on the red popsicle, Orange Glow on the blue popsicle, and Poppin' Pink Glitz Glitter Gel on the green popsicle and set them aside to dry for an hour or so.
I wanted to create a dark background so that the bright colors of the new Glitz Glitter Gels would really pop. I used the Sweet Stuff stencil and some Black Ice Deco Foil Metallix Gel with a Stencil Pal to add some metallic accents to the left half of my card base. I used a bit of Purple Tape to mask off the right side of the stencil so that the Metallix Gel would only be added through the polka dot pattern on the stencil. I stamped a sentiment from the Sweet Stuff stamp set with black ink on the right side of my card.
The Electro-POP line from Rina K Designs is truly FABULOUS! The vibrant colors are sure to brighten anyone's day! And the colors all coordinate so well together. I decided to use a mix of the Elctro-POP inks, Neon Flock Transfer Sheets, and Neon Enamel Transfer Sheets together to make this sunshiney card. I grabbed a few of the Electro-POP inks to start - Screamin' Green, Raging Red, and Orange Glow - and the new Rina K Designs Sending Sunshine Stamp n' Stencil. I used the leaf images from the Sending Sunshine stamp set and the Screamin' Green ink to create a quick tropical background for my card. The Screamin' Green ink is a lime green color that I just love! I chose some of my favorite fruits to be the focal point of my card and stamped them with the Ranging Red and Orange Glow Electro-POP inks.
I used the Sending Sunshine Stencil and Pixie Spray to add Deco Foil Transfer Gel DUO onto the pineapple and orange stamped images and set them aside to dry until the DUO Gel was completely clear. I actually let them dry overnight - I find I get the best results when I'm sure the DUO Gel is good and set. Now for the fun part! Deciding which coordinating Electro-POP products to use! I decided to go with the matching Orange Glow Deco Foil Neon Flock Transfer Sheets for the orange slice and new Hello Yellow Deco Foil Neon Enamel Transfer Sheets for the pineapple. The Neon Flock Transfer Sheets work just like the original ones - you want to add the Flock Transfer Sheets pretty side DOWN into the DUO Gel. The great thing about the DUO Gel is that you can now use it with or without heat! That's great for me! I have a small work area and I have my die cutting machine permanently on my desk, but I have to get out my laminator each time I use it. Instead of having to wait for it to fully heat up I can just place the Flock Transfer Sheets face down into the DUO Gel and run it through my die cutting machine and get the same results as I do with the laminator but without the hassle! Yay!! The Neon Enamel Transfer Sheets work almost the same way as Deco Foil Transfer Sheets - you want to place the Enamel Transfer Sheet face UP over the DUO Gel and then run it through your laminator or die cutting machine. I used my die cutting machine. The Neon Enamel Transfer Sheets are SO SO SO cool! I love the way it looks like an enamel embellishment all shiny and smooth!
