LDRS Creative | Easy No-Stamping Cards with Patterned Paper

Let's create 3 quick and easy cards with the Celebration Paper Collection from LDRS Creative - no stamping required!

Products used -

In today’s video, I’m sharing how I mix patterned papers, ephemera, and rub-on transfers to create three fun and girly cards in under 5 minutes each. With just a few layers and a little adhesive, you can have beautiful, celebratory cards ready to go in no time!

I kept the sentiments versatile - “congratulations,” “today is your day,” and “simply the best”—so these designs work for so many occasions. Plus, the little pops of gold foil add the perfect touch of shine.

If you love quick cardmaking or need cards in a hurry, this is the perfect place to start. Just grab the Celebration Paper Collection and add adhesive!

Thanks so much for joining me! I hope these cards inspire you!

It's a Baby Shower!

Hello and happy Saturday!
I just got home from my friend's beautiful shower for her little boy. I'm so excited to meet him!
I made her this card with the Studio Calico July 2014 card kit (Penny Arcade) when I first got the kit, but I didn't want her to see it before today. I think it's so super cute! Here we go!

As soon as I saw the big and little hedgehogs in the stamp set, I knew I wanted to make this card!
I used the blue cardstock that was included in the kit to make a standard A2 card base. I layered that with some yellow and blue papers from The Paper Studio.

Then I created my stamped embellishments using stamps from the kit. I used slate gray, well red, and something blue inks. The original shades were too vibrant for my card, so I stamped them off on a piece of scratch paper and then stamped them again onto the white cardstock. I used Versafine ink for the outline of the hedgehogs and cut out my images. I put the sentiment together using two different stamp sets from Simon Says Stamp and they, too are inked with Versafine ink.

The veneer stars were included in the kit and I adhered them with Glossy Accents. The cloud and the hedgehogs are popped up with foam tape.

And that's it!
I did an awful lot of crafting this week, so I'll be back soon with more cards from this kit.
My kit from Simon Says Stamp is due to arrive Monday! Yay! I can't wait! It will be my first kit from their company and I'm so excited! See you soon!

STUDIO CALICO CAMELOT!!

My new SC Card Kit came in the mail yesterday! WOO! I'm so excited about this month's kit! There are some super cute stamps, papers, and embellishments! Just look at this!

I had to go to work last night, but I played around with my new goodies as soon as I got home. I'll show you one of my projects that I created.

I used the stamp set from the main card kit as well as the gray cardstock to create my card base. The cake stand and rings are embossed in gold. The cake is embossed in white. For the banner, I first embossed the background in gold and then embossed the "congratulations" sentiment in white. I doodle-dashed around the edge of the card in a white gel pen to finish off the card.

If you want to see more, head over to Studio Calico and look up my gallery under my username, sparkliie. Also, if you have any questions about signing up for a monthly kit, let me know. I'd be more than happy to convince you to join!!

Studio Calico Bluegrass Farm Kit.

Hello! I know it's been a very long time since I've posted here, but trust me, that doesn't mean I haven't been creating! It seems that I have to choose between creating and blogging what I've created. Sorry, guys :(

Anyway, around mid-April I signed up for a monthly membership at Studio Calico and it's probably the best thing I've ever done for my crafty self! They send me a kit in the mail once a month with TONS of goodies! Papers, ribbon, stamps, and embellishments.....Oh my!! In addition, I have access to blogs and message boards to talk to other extremely talented papercrafters. Since I signed up a bit later in the month, I didn't have as much time with the kit as others did, but nevertheless, I'm ready to show you some of my favorite cards I made using items in the kit! Here they are! :

( Please excuse the quality of the photographs. My camera is still broken. )

These are a sampling of the cards I made from the kit. To see the rest head over to Studio Calico! You can see the rest of my work as well as the fabulous creations from many other designers!

Thanks everyone!
