Kindred Stamps // Rainbow Baby Card

Hi! I was so happy to see the Family Additions stamp set from Kindred Stamps that I cried actual tears when I first saw it. Many of you know my infertility story and that a few years ago we finally adopted our son Jaxon. There are SO many ways to have a family these days and I'm so happy that the Family Additions stamp set celebrates all kinds families!

I stamped the pregnant girl stamp from the Family Additions stamp set onto heavyweight cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers. I kept the color of her dress neutral so that this card can be for a mamma expecting a boy or a girl. I die cut a rainbow from a stitched die set to be the background.

I used one of my favorite Kindred Stamps stencils - the Skinny Plaid stencil - to add a light layer of warm gray ink the background. The neutral colored background really makes the images in the foreground pop! The Family Additions stamp set has an amazing selection of sentiments that pull at my heart, but I had to go with the rainbow sentiment. I stamped it towards the bottom of my card under the images.

A rainbow baby is my dream - and though it most likely won't happen for me, it has happened for one of my friends and I have many more still hoping and praying for their rainbow baby. I'm going to hold on to this card and hopefully I can give it to a mommy-to-be one day! Thanks for joining me on for this emotional card project. I bet you didn't expect that today!
