I took each of the Stitched Heart dies and temporarily taped them onto a piece of white cardstock and die cut them with my die cutting machine. I love that these dies leave stitched details on the positive and negative parts of the die cuts. This inspired me to create two cards out of one! I created one card with ink blending behind the die cuts and one card with ink blending directly on the die cuts.
I used the same colors of inks for both cards - Lipstick Jungle, In Your Face Orange, Dan-D-Lion, Key Lime Pie, Bali Blue, and Plum Crazy. For one card I blended the inks onto an extra piece of cardstock to lay behind the negative die cut piece. I also blended the same ink colors onto the positive Stitched Heart die cuts.
I stamped the Love Stack sentiment stamp set onto white cardstock and used the Sentiment Stack coordinating die to cut out a bunch of sentiment strips at once. I am TOTALLY IN LOVE with these sentiment stacks and coordinating die! I can easily stamp a bunch of sentiments and cut them out and store them with the stamp set so I have a sentiment already stamped, cut, and ready to go! I was going to leave the cards just as the rainbow ink blending and sentiment strips, but I decided a cute little panda from the Panda Play stamp set would be the perfect pop of black! I stamped the Panda Play images and cut them out with the coordinating dies and added everything to my cards with foam tape.
That completes these two colorful Valentines! Be sure to check out the rest of the Open Hearts Collection from LDRS Creative!
