The Swan Tunnel Base dies are meant to create a dimensional tunnel card, but I decided to give this die set a twist and create a shaker card! The set has all the pieces to create a beautiful scene! I started with the swan piece and die cut that from the center of a white card front - this will be my top panel. I die cut the tall grass and cattails pieces from black cardstock so they could go behind the swine for a silhouette effect. I lined them up so that the circles aligned and glued them together.
I blended some i-crafter Hybrid Inks onto a separate piece of cardstock to create a sunset background for the swan scene. I started with Lemon Drop at the top, Mango Madness in the middle, and Candy Coated at the bottom. I wanted to stamp a simple sentiment with the Haley Outline Stamp Set and I came thiiiiiiiis close to stamping the sentiment with black ink to tie in the silhouette grass in the background, but I decided to stamp the sentiment with the same ink colors I used in the background to create a gradient of color.
I finished this card into a traditional shaker card with some acetate, foam tape, and clear confetti pieces! To see the full process watch my YouTube video above! Be sure to leave a comment on this blog post as well as the rest of the team's posts to win a goodie prize pack from i-crafter! Enjoy the rest of the hop!

ReplyDeleteFabulous! I really like the white and black contrast for the swan and cattails. It is always fun to see dies used in different ways. The Swan Tunnel Card is one of my favorites from this release.
