Scrapbook.com January Stamp and Stencil Release

Hi, everyone! Scrapbook.com has a new stamp and stencil release and it's the best! I created a quick trio of ink blended cards using the new Buffalo Check stencil and some of their new stamp sets!

Can I just say how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new Buffalo Check stencil from Scrapbook.com!! I'm seriously in love! I love plaid and this pattern is big and bold! And the stencil is 6x8 so it's large enough to use it horizontally or vertically ... or even diagonally!!

I started each of the three cards with a Neenah Solar White A2 Vertically Scored card base. These are so easy to work with! They're high quality, bright white, already cut and scored cards. All I had to do was fold them in half! Yay! I placed the Buffalo Check stencil diagonally on the card base and used the Tropical Hybrid Ink Set and blended ink onto the background. These inks blend beautifully and are bright and vibrant! I used only the three inks in the Tropical set - Havana Red, Daffodil, and Oasis - to create a whole rainbow of colors! For my first card I blended Daffodil into Havana Red to get a pretty sunshine-y card. I blended Daffodil into Oasis and got a green color in the middle. And for my last card I blended all three colors together to get all six colors of the rainbow!

The Wordfetti - Best Day Ever stamp set pairs perfectly with the Vintage Type Lower stamp set! I love that they look like the same font in different sizes! I stamped and heat embossed portions of various phrases from the Wordfetti - Best Day Ever stamp set as well as build my own coordinating words from the Vintage Type Lower stamp set. I stamped with my MISTI and Versamark Ink onto black cardstock and heat embossed with white powder. I trimmed the sentiments into strips and added them onto my cards with foam tape.

I embellished each of the cards with some black pearls to pull in the black from the sentiment strips. I just love the way the inks blend over the Buffalo Check stencil! Such bold backgrounds! I hope you'll check out the rest of the new release from Scrapbook.com! See you soon!
