Happy Bee Day

Hey, everyone! I hope you all hopped along with the Pink & Main birthday blog hop! I made a super fun double shaker card - and I even decorated the inside which is a rarity for me! Well I loved my inside so much that I decided to recreate that card and make my bee stamped background the focus of my card!

I love yellow! It just makes me feel so happy and cheerful! I need more birthday cards in my stash and I just LOVE the BEE Day stamp set from Pink & Main! This card could easily be for any guy or girl in my life! One other goal of mine this year is to use more of my colored cardstock. I went through my stash and narrowed down to just the colors I truly love and this deep yellow color is my favorite! There are two tiny little bees in the BEE Day stamp set and they are just adorable! I mounted both of them on to my acrylic block and stamped them repeatedly across my yellow cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I like this black ink because it is crisp and stays wet just long enough for me to add some clear embossing powder.

I stamped out a few bees and the bee hive from the BEE Day stamp set and watercolored them with my Staedtler felt tipped markers and cut them out with the coordinating BEE Day dies. Then I took a piece of white cardstock and cut it with a Stitched Circle Die. I needed something to make my little hive and bees stand out and I love the pop of white! I curved my sentiment so that it would follow the curve of my stitched circle and stamped it with Versafine Onyx black ink and then arranged all of my images on top of the stitched circle.

I love this happy little card and I hope it inspires you to make something, too! See you soon!
