I saw this couple in the Happily Ever After stamp set and I wanted to create a faux framed wedding scene! It was actually super easy! Let's start with the inked scene! I masked off a rounded hill from the bottom of a piece of watercolor cardstock and blended on some Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Ink. Then I used the Clouds stencil from Pink & Main and blended Broken China ink lightly along the outline of the puffy clouds. I thought my background needed some flowers, so I stamped the three small flowers from the Easter Bounty stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs along the hill and colored them with Copic markers. To finish off my background I stamped the sentiment from the Happily Ever After stamp set and heat embossed it with clear powder.
I stamped my happy couple onto heavy weight cardstock and colored them with Copic markers. I cut them out and glued them onto my scene. The frame was so easy to make! I just took a piece of 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inch cardstock and die cut a rectangle from the center leaving me with a regular frame. Then I took my scissors and snipped from the outside corner to the inside corner creating four strips with diagonally cut edges. I used my Copic markers N2 and the colorless blender to add some flicks of color to each edge and adhered them to my background with foam tape!
You could customize the appearance of the couple and the colors to create a faux framed card for any couple in your life! I hope you got inspired today! See you soon!
