I cannot believe it has been 2 years since Scrapping for Less unveiled the first Flavor of the Month Card Kit. From selling 10 kits that first month; 5 of those being subscriptions to hundreds each month only 2 years later; I feel truly blessed to be able to bring this program to you each month. But not only that, I feel truly blessed to call each and every one of my customers part of the SFL family. So, this month we bring you a whole kit of Celebrations, Ice Cream Celebrations, Baby Celebrations, Birthday Celebrations, and Friendship Celebrations. Thanks so very much for all of your support. Hop along and see the inspiration the Design Team and Guest Designers have for you today. Head to Scrapping for Less Flavor of the Month page to purchase your kit. Now let's see what's in the kit!

As always - there are two variations of the kit. The Double Dip kit comes with everything in the first photo. Four collections of goodies, four envelopes, two sheets of 110lb white cardstock, and six sheets of colored cardstocks to coordinate with the kit. The Banana Split kit comes with everything in the Double Dip kit as well as an extra pack of goodies! The extra goodie pack has a sentiment stamp set, Nuvo drops, paper borders, and a "hooray" die! And this is Scrapping for Less's first die! I love it! Definitely worth the upgrade!!

Scrapping for Less also gives you sketches to play with each month! You can find them on the website here! Let's dive right in and look at the 5 cards that I made!

I love that this kit has products for a bunch of different kinds of celebrations! Ice cream, birthday, baby and friends!

I created my first card using the first collection and the third sketch. I love the Ice Cream Celebrations stamp set by Scrapping for Less! I decided to color my ice cream the way I like it! Vanilla with a bit of hot fudge! I used my Staedtler felt tipped markers to color the image on watercolor cardstock. I also used some of the kraft cardstock and Ice Cream Celebrations patterned paper as well as the peel off sticker lines for this card.

No matter what I tried I just couldn't get the cardstocks to line up correctly with the sketch, so I eliminated one of the patterned papers and just went with two!

Collection two is all about birthdays! And I love that the colors in this collection are great for boys or girls! I need more cards like that in my stash! I decided to follow sketch two for this card and used the Happy Birthday papers from Scrapping for Less and the ephemera cupcake as my focal points. I stamped the sentiment from the Floating By stamp set from Sunny Studio Stamps onto banner strips and lined them up at the bottom of my focal image.

I finished off my card with some of the sequins by Scrapping for Less. I have to say that the sequins throughout this whole kit are some of my favorite! I love that there's a mix of sizes, colors, and that some of them have the holes in the middle and some are the flat confetti pieces!

I think this card is my favorite that I made today! I used ingredients from the third collection and loosely followed the fourth sketch. The Baby stamp from Your Next Stamp is the cutest! I love the little bear and bunny images and wanted them to be the background of my card! I stamped them repeatedly on a piece of watercolor cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink and colored them with my Staedtler felt tipped markers. I only used two markers total - a light pink for the ears, nose and tummy and a cream color for the rest of their bodies! I also stamped and colored the little blocks. I wanted to keep this a general neutral card so I chose yellow and green colors.

I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the Baby stamp set onto kraft cardstock. I followed the fourth sketch - but turned it 90 degrees and put the strip at the bottom of my card. rather than 3 diamond accents I cut out the blocks and lined them up on my strip as the accents. I added a scattering of the clear sequins to finish my card.

I LOVE that this kit celebrates friendships! Celebrating our friends is something we need to do more often! I followed the first sketch almost exactly - the only thing I changed is the size of the focal image. The patterned papers in this collection are from Pinkfresh Studios and they are gorgeous! The colors are FABULOUS! I stamped the Snapshot Friends stamp by Stamping Bella onto watercolor cardstock - but I masked off the portion that makes it a Polaroid leaving just a framed image. I colored it with my Staedtler felt tipped markers and backed it with a piece of kraft cardstock.

I finished it off with a cardstock sticker strip from Pinkfresh Studios and some sequins from the mix by Scrapping for Less!

I just HAD to use the new Hooray die from Scrapping for Less! this is included in the Banana Split kit and it's so amazing! You can use it for a variety of occasions! I wanted to go back and use the Floating By stamp set by Sunny Studio from the second collection. I stamped the balloons onto an A2 cardbase using the 110lb white cardstock from the kit and out of habit started watercoloring with my Staedtler felt tipped markers. As soon as I brought water to my paper I thought I had ruined everything! It's quite difficult to move color on cardstock that isn't made to work with water - but I just ran with it and made it work!

I cut the sentiment from some navy cardstock included in the kit and stamped some coordinating sentiments from the Floating By stamp set. I added some blue Nuvo Drops and that finished my card!
