Hi! I'm so excited about today's video! My good friend, Annalisa, from Faith Dream Create asked me if I would want to do a YouTube collaboration with her! Of course I said YES! We decided to use Lawn Fawn's Winter Alpaca stamp set and Distress Inks to create a scene! This is my first collaboration with another crafter and I love the idea of using the same stamp and tools and seeing how different we create! Make sure you check out her blog and YouTube channel and subscribe. She creates some awesome projects! At the bottom of this post is a photo of her project and links to her collaboration project!
I started by stamping out the little alpaca from the Lawn Fawn Winter Alpaca stamp set onto some white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I wanted to stretch this wintery alpaca into a spring alpaca, so I selectively inked just the outside of the alpaca and not the scarf. I colored in my alpaca image with my Spectrum Noir markers. I used EB1 and EB2 for the face and GB8 and EB2 for the body and added some dot details with the GB8 marker. Then I used the coordinating Winter Alpaca die to cut out the image.
Then I did a lot of die cutting. A lot. Haha! Maybe it's not a lot for some people, but I don't make scene cards very often, so this was quite a bit of die cutting for me! I die cut all of my pieces from 110lb cardstock. I grabbed a bunch of Lawn Fawn Dies - The Grassy Border Die, Stitched Hillside Border Dies, Little Town Border Die, Stitched Tree Border Dies, and the Simple Puffy Cloud Outline Dies. I added Distress Oxide ink to all of the die cut pieces except for the cloud outlines. I wanted to create a pastel scene for Spring, so that's why I reached for my Oxide Inks. They tend to be "muted" in a way where as the traditional Distress Inks are brighter. I used Lucky Clover for the grass, Cracked Pistachio for the grassy hill, Tattered Rose for the houses, Frayed Burlap for the hills and tree trunks, and Tumbled Glass for the sky. In addition, I also used Tumbled Glass, Shaded lilac, and Wild Honey for the trees.
One of my goals this year is to make more birthday cards, so I make one every chance I get! I grabbed my Happy Everything stamp set from Lawn Fawn and white heat embossed a sentiment onto the grassy background. I used tape runner adhesive and liquid glue to adhere all of my pieces together. Because I used such heavy cardstock and had so many layers I didn't feel like I needed to add any foam adhesive. I love how this card turned out! Check out my video below and then pop over to Annalisa's YouTube channel to see what she created!
Do you want to see what Annalisa made? Of course you do!!
I LOVE that she went for a wintery mountain scene! And that little suitcase is super cute! Head over to her YouTube video here to watch her process! And check out her coordinating blog post, too!
Hey, everyone! I've been having so much fun with the February box from The Hedgehog Hollow! The box gives me all the feels for Spring, so I decided to turn the butterfly dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs into a butterfly! Remember that if you want to purchase a subscription there are several ways to subscribe! You could do a month to month rolling subscription or a three month subscription! Head over to The Hedgehog Hollow shop to subscribe!
I die cut the bee wings from watercolor cardstock and used my watercolors to add some bright spring colors to the wings. I hand cut a skinny oval from black cardstock and glued the wings onto the back of it as well as some die cut antennae. I decided to make this a fun shaker card, so I used some stacking rectangle dies and kraft cardstock to create a frame and a bunch of spring colored sequins. I used sequins from a bunch of companies in a bunch of colors to really fill up this full sized shaker! I used a sentiment from the Finding Your Way stamp set from The Hedgehog Hollow and a tiny strip of gold glitter cardstock to finish off the card.
I hope this inspires you to take another look at your dies and use them in a fun way! Thanks for stopping by!
Hi! I shared a little peek at the background I made for this card on my Instagram a few weeks ago. I just love using small stamps and small dies to create backgrounds for my cards. It's such an awesome way to get more out of your supplies! I used the tiny little rectangle die from the Extra Large Bow Dies from Pink & Main to create a "tiled" background! And I just love it! I paired it with the Pretty Jars stamp set and some creative diecutting from the new release!
Seriously ... I'm just obsessed with the little rectangles with their stitching and everything! I used the small rectangle die from the Extra Large Bow Dies set - it's actually the center "knot" part of the bow - and die cut it so many times from three shades of pink cardstock and some gold foil cardstock. I'm not going to lie - it took some time diecutting all the little pieces, but it's so worth it! Once I had a bunch of pieces die cut, I used a piece of scrap cardstock and covered it with double sided adhesive. I found this was the easiest way to stick down all the little pieces. You could use tape runner adhesive to cover a piece of cardstock or even use adhesive on each individual piece - but it's definitely quick and easy just to use a large sheet of double sided adhesive and go from there.
I grabbed the Pretty Jars stamp set and stamped out the jar, flowers, and sentiment onto watercolor cardstock. I pulled on the edges of the jar so that it would look more rounded, but you could definitely stamp it as it's intended to be stamped. I used my Staedtler felt tipped markers to add some color to the image. I love how the water in the jar turned out! I used a light blue at the bottom and a minty green/blue color at the top and blended them together. I used the Pretty Jars dies and did some selective die cutting since I stamped my jar and flowers together. I didn't do any die cutting for the jar because I altered the stamp, but I used the coordinating dies for the flower down to where it meets the jar and used my scissors to cut the rest of the image.
I wanted to add some embellishments to finish off the card, so I added some clear glitter to the centers of the flowers and to the jar and added two coats of Glossy Accents. I scattered some of the Rose Gold Glossy Dots around my card and added my jar and flower images with foam squares. I hope you like it!

I LOVE all of the super cute baking themed stamps, papers, and embellishments in this kit! I made one card with each collection including one with the extra goodies in the Banana Split level (which by the way has my FAVORITE stamp set in the whole kit!).
I decided to kick off my video with a shaker card! It's been a long time since I made one and the sprinkle papers from the Cupcake Cuties collection by SFL and the matching sequin mix were just calling to me! I used elements from the first collection sketch number 4 to help me design this card. I love the little Baking Marci stamp set from La-La Land Crafts and I couldn't wait to color her with my real brush markers! Unfortunately, once I started coloring I had a terrible creative block! Does that ever happen to you? I think my problem was that I tried to use too many colors on one little image. You'll see in the video that my final image looks COMPLETELY different from what I started with, but it's all the same image. I didn't re-stamp her. I just kept coloring over with different colors or adding water and blotting up color. In the end I wish I had colored her dress a different color, but I still think she's super cute!
I used some stacking circle dies to create a frame for my shaker and backed it with that awesome sprinkle patterned paper! I love how all the patterns in the Cupcake Cuties paper pad coordinate together and the colors are just amazing!
Collection two has another little stamp from La-La Land Crafts - Baking Luca! I love that he's a little boy! And his chubby face makes him look like my 3-year-old son! And he LOVES to bake with me! I colored him with my Staedtler felt tipped markers and I after my mishap with my previous card (haha!) I stuck to just a few simple colors. And look how cute he is! I cut a mask from a post it note and inked up the die cut rectangle with some Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide inks.
I followed sketch number 2 to build my layout and followed the sketch just as it's printed. I can't tell you how much I LOVE the background paper! It's from the Baked with Love paper pad by Scrapping for Less. This collection has some creams, blues, and reds which are perfect for more masculine cards! I plan to have my son write in this card and send it to my mom who also loves to bake with him!
Can you believe how cute that little Lawn Fawn stamp is? It's included in the third collection and I've had the Cutie Pie stamp set for literally YEARS and have never inked it up! I've always thought it was so cute, but it keeps getting put on the back burner and I'm SO SO SO excited to finally color the pie! It's the cutest! I stamped it onto some cardstock and used Spectrum Noir markers to color it in!
I left all of my coloring in the video because this image is so small. I used simple 2 color blending for each area of the little pie and trimmed it out with scissors and added it to a recipe label by Darice from the third collection. I stuck the label sticker onto white cardstock and trimmed around it to leave a small white border. I used patterned papers from the Let's Bake a Pie paper pad by Scrapping for Less, some Kraft cardstock, and some Wild Cherry MFT cardstock and followed sketch number 1 to create my card.
I turned the sentiment from being vertical to horizontal because it looked better with my label shape. That rolling pin patterned paper has my heart! I love it so much! It killed me to cut it up! Haha! But it was worth it!
Collection 4 has some of my favorite items in this kit! The Cookies and Milk papers are to DIE for! I LOVE the kraft, white, and blue color combo! And the Cookie Mouse stamp set by SFL is adorable! The stamp set has a bunch of individual words so that you can create your own sentiment, but I was drawn to the "some days require cookies" because my mom says it all the time! I stamped and watercolored the mouse image - again keeping the colors simple! The back of the striped paper has some milk carton and cookie images that I thought were just perfect! So I cut them out and added one to each of the little mouse's hands!
Check him out! He's ADORABLE! I just want to squeeze him! I pulled together a bunch of patterned papers and some Kraft cardstock and put them together using sketch number 3. This one is probably my favorite just because I love that cute mouse!
As always - you'll get all 4 collections in the kit, but there's an option to "upgrade" to the Banana Split level and you DEFINITELY should! The SFL stamp set called Whisky Business is my FAVORITE! And you can only get it in the Banana Split level kit! In addition there is some diamond sugar dust, heart silver glossy dots, and an amazing Whisk and Rolling Pin die set from La-La Land Crafts!
I used one of the large pieces of cardstock and added blobs of Distress Inks large enough so that I could die cut the whisk from a rainbow of colors. I used Picked Raspberry, Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch, and Wilted Violet. I stamped and clear heat embossed the sentiment and glued the die cut whisks across my card (which measures 3.5 inches by 9 inches) in rainbow order.
This is one of my favorites that I made today! I've been obsessed with rainbows lately and sneaking them in to my projects wherever I can!

I can't describe how excited I am about my blog name change! It's something I have been thinking about for a LONG time! Years! I started this blog when I was a teenager - and Sparkliie Creations has been my name since then! In the past few years or so I have been working with various stamp and design companies and have always added my real name to my projects, rather than my blog name. I started thinking that since I am my real brand when it comes to my cards and projects that I should change my blog name. I went back and forth between many options and finally narrowed it down to two and I asked many of you on Facebook which I should go with. I want to thank you all SO much for your comments and support! In the end, I went with my own full name for my new website because I am me! Using my own name just feels right! The only reason I didn't take the plunge years ago was because I was afraid people wouldn't be able to spell my name - it's a long one! Haha! But after thinking and talking it over with others I realized that most of the time people click on links to go to various sites anyway!
So here it is! The new https://www.lynneahollendonner.com! You'll see that things look almost the same! I've updated my graphics and moved away from the young looking images that I've had for 10 years and I've created something fresh and new! I have already updated my blog, YouTube channel, and Instagram and I'm working with the people at Facebook to update my business page!
Thank you all for supporting me through the years and for your continued support!

You can't tell very well from this first photo, but I stepped outside of my card making comfort zone and made a journal! And this journal is made from regular A2 sized envelopes - something I'm sure most of us have on hand! There's a video at the end of this post where I show you exactly how to make this little journal, so make sure you watch! It's easier to show you how to put this together rather than tell you! Haha! But I'll do my best!
To build your journal you're going to grab a bunch of envelopes. Any size will work! And you can use as many as you want! My journal has 16 pages and I used a total of 9 envelopes. I started by taking 8 envelopes and folding the flap over to the back. Then I put one envelope on the left (with the flap folded over to the back) and the opening facing right. Grab another envelope and flip it over so you see the back - the part you would actually write the address on. Stick the flap of the envelope into the envelope on the left like you were inserting a card into the envelope. Once the flap is inside turn over the envelope so now you have the envelope that was on the right on the left with the opening facing right. Take another envelope (address side up) and insert the flap into the stacked envelopes on the left. Repeat the process until your journal is as big as you want it to be. For the last envelope you're going to turn the envelope over so that the flap is still going into the envelope on the left, but the address side of the envelope will be the back cover. If you've done it right, you should have one flap left on the very first envelope left over. Fold this one over the rest of the envelopes and adhere it down to the last envelope to create a binding or spine for the journal. Wow I hope that made sense! Like I said - be sure to watch the video!!
To create the inside pages I trimmed some white cardstock down to 4 by 5.5 inches and used a ruler and a fine point sharpie to draw in some lines and glued them to each of my envelope pages.
Time to decorate the covers! I trimmed some cardstock down to be the exact size of my A2 envelope and used the Long Hair Stencil along with some Fossilized Amber and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide inks to blend on some color. I did this on two panels - one for the front and one for the back - and used strong double sided adhesive to tape them to the front envelope and to the back envelope.
I stamped the images from the Long Hair Don't Care stamp set onto watercolor cardstock and heat embossed them with clear powder so that I could do some simple watercoloring. I used all of the little characters because they're just the cutest! Then I masked off one of the sentiments and added it to a banner and used liquid adhesive to glue them all onto the front of my journal.
Of course I had to decorate the inside pages of my journal! You could definitely stamp and color more images from the Long Hair Don't Care stamp set, but do you know that Kindred Stamps has stickers!!?!! They have all kinds of stickers, but my favorites are the ones that coordinate with their stamp sets! They come in small and large sizes and glossy or matte finish. And of course they have Long Hair stickers!! I used both the large and small sizes in matte finish and decorated every page in my journal. This is going to be a gift for my brother's birthday and since I had extra stickers left over I tucked them in the inside cover and I'll give them to him so he can finish embellishing his journal!
I'm completely in love with how this envelope journal turned out! I'm glad I pushed myself to create something other than a card - now I need to make more!! Check out my video below!
Thanks for joining me! Make sure you drop by the Kindred Stamps shop to pick up some new goodies for yourself!
Hey, everyone! I'm using the February card kit from The Hedgehog Hollow to make a clean and simple glitter card today! It makes me feel like spring is coming! Remember that if you want to purchase a subscription there are several ways to subscribe! You could do a month to month rolling subscription or a three month subscription! Head over to The Hedgehog Hollow shop to subscribe!
I started by adhering two strips of double sided adhesive to my A2 sized card. The skinny strip on top is 1/4 inch and the wide tape is 1 inch. I peeled off each layer separately and added the Silk Microfine Glitters from Elizabeth Craft Designs in the February box. I used my fingers to really rub in the glitter and I'm still amazed at how smooth and fine the finish is! It really looks like it's part of the actual card rather than a glitter on top!
I stamped the bee, his little trail, and the sentiments using some black ink and colored in the bee with some Copic markers. I used very simple shading and blending - just some Y17 and Y13 for the yellow and some BG13 for the wings. I didn't even color in the whole wings, instead I just flicked on some color from the inside out for some dimension and color.
I hope you enjoyed this look at the February 2019 box from The Hedgehog Hollow!
Hello! Are you ready to get a sneak peek at one of the CUTEST stamp sets I've EVER seen!? The Breakfast Fun stamps and dies are from the Pink & MainFebruary release and they'll be available Wednesday February 20th! I used alcohol inks to create a set of backgrounds and used a bunch of images from the Breakfast Fun stamps and their coordinating sentiments. I made four cards and didn't even use all of the images and sentiments! There's so much cuteness packed into this stamp set!
I picked out the images and sentiments I wanted to use from the Breakfast Fun stamp set and stamped them on watercolor cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed them with clear powder. I used my Staedtler felt tipped markers and a waterbrush to color them and then die cut them with the coordinating dies.
I've been obsessed with alcohol inks lately! I grabbed some Yupo paper and my inks and just started making backgrounds! I used two or three colors on each background and tried to keep the inks in a diagonal pattern going left to right.
I have a tendency to get a little heavy handed with my alcohol inks, but that's no problem! After I let my inked background sit for about 10 minutes I use DecoFoil and press it on top of my ink. The foil will stick anywhere the ink pools and is tacky and leaves behind some awesome shine!
I added my sentiment strips and die cuts from the Breakfast Fun stamp set with foam tape onto each background. I love how quickly this little set of cards came together! And the foodies are so super cute! Remember that the February release from Pink & Main will be available Wednesday the 20th! See you soon!
Hi, friends! I'm here to share a little peek at the new February 2019 Flavor of the Month card kit from Scrapping for Less! Our theme this month is Whip it Up and it's all about baking and all kinds of yummy goodies! This is one of my favorites! I love baking with my son and this kit gives me all the good feels!
This Whisky Business stamp set is included in the Banana Split level kit for February 2019. I love it so much! The font is gorgeous and I think it's so punny! I wanted to have a simple background to really make the sentiment shine, so I watercolored some stripes with my Brea Reese watercolors and liquid glitter for a sparkly rainbow background. Then I stamped and heat embossed my image and sentiment with white embossing powder. This kit also comes with some loose glitter, so I used some liquid glue at the bottom of the whisk and added some of the glitter for an extra bit of shine!
I hope you've enjoyed this look at the February 2019 Flavor of the Month card kit from Scrapping for Less! The whole kit will be available on the 23rd! Be sure to come back then to see my unboxing video and more cards I've made with this kit! See you soon!
