Sweet Carousel Pull Tab Slider Card

Hello! I'm back with another card using the January release from Pink & Main! I just LOVE the Sweet Carousel stamp set and Watercolor Foil papers, so I thought I would pair them together! I tried to step out of my comfort zone again and made my first pull tab slider card!

Look how cute! I started by stamping my image from the Sweet Carousel stamp set and coloring it in with some watercolor markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut her out. My card is 4 1/4 inches tall, but only 5 inches wide. I wanted to make sure there would be enough room for the pull tab for the card to fit in a regular envelope. I cut some of the blue star paper from the Watercolor Foil paper pad and glued it onto my card base to be my background.

I followed a tutorial online for the pull tab portion of my card, but I will try to describe my basic process! I used the Scallop Waves Dies to cut a piece of white cardstock to be the pull tab mechanism for my card and cut a slit out of the middle and added foam tape around it to make sure there was room for my tab. I stamped the sentiment from the Magical stamp set onto a thin strip of cardstock and nestled it in between the foam tape. I added a foam square at the end of the sentiment strip so that you can't pull the whole strip out of the card. I used a small piece of cardstock and glued it to the back of my carousel unicorn and adhered it to the foam square. To finish it off I added a die cut piece of the purple striped cardstock on top to hide the mechanism and the "sending" from the Magical stamp set on top.

I love how it turned out in the end! And I hope you do, too!
