Life is a Circus Patterned Paper Background

Hello! I hope you are all enjoying the January release from Pink & Main! I'm just in LOVE with it! I wanted to use the new Watercolor Foil paper pack, but I loved each and every pattern in the pack and couldn't decide which one to use! No worries! I found a way to use almost every pattern! And of course I used the new Life is a Circus stamp set and Magical stamp set with the coordinating dies!

I tend to stick to the usual A2 sized card, but today I felt like stretching myself a bit! I created a card that would fit into a business size envelope - my card is about 4 inches tall by 9.5 inches wide! I started by creating my background - it's made up of strips of paper from the new Watercolor Foil paper pack! I cut strips of various sizes from almost all of the patterns included in the pack and glued them on to a piece of scrap cardstock cut slightly smaller than my card base. Then I glued the whole piece onto my card with some foam tape.

I stamped and watercolored a bunch of images from the Life is a Circus stamp set, die cut them with the coordinating dies, and glued them flat onto my card. Look at them! Aren't they just the CUTEST!!

I wanted to tie in the gold foil from the patterned paper, so I used the Magical die set to die cut my sentiment from gold foil cardstock. I also cut 3 additional word die cuts and stacked them all together for dimension. I didn't think it stood out enough, so I used the shadow die to die cut some vellum. One of my resolutions is to make more birthday cards, so I used some coordinating sentiments from the Magical stamp set to finish off my card!

Thanks for stopping by!
