Sassy & Crafty | Two For One Stenciled Backgrounds

I am sharing an easy way to get two cards with one ink blended background using Sassy & Crafty goodies! 

I used Pixie Spray to adhere the Flowering Swirl Stencil to white cardstock and blended on Kitsch Flamingo, Scattered Straw, and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Inks. I love how just three colors builds a whole rainbow! Because these inks are water reactive I was able to spritz the leftover ink on the stencil with water and press it onto a second piece of cardstock for a second background. The original is bold and the second is lighter - totally different looks! 

I wanted to add a bit of texture, so I spattered on silver and black watercolor to each of the stenciled backgrounds and set them aside to dry. 

I stamped and clear heat embossed a couple of fairies and bees from the Never Grow Up Stamp Set onto watercolor cardstock and used handmade shimmer watercolors to color them. 

I cut out my images and mounted them with foam tape onto my stenciled backgrounds. I hope you'll try this fun technique this weekend! See you again soon!
