Pink & Main | Blessed to Be Your Friend

It's (almost) officially fall! It's one of my favorite times of the year! Cute critters, gorgeous colors, oh my! My card for Pink & Main today has everything "feel good" about fall!

I wanted to create a chilly fall scene using the Happy Fall Stamp Set, and I don't know about you, but for some reason birch trees just scream "chilly" to me! I stamped the birch tree three times on a piece of white cardstock - twice on the left of the card and once on the right. I added a branch, leaves, and acorns to the inner left tree to complete my background scene. I stamped some coordinating images from the Happy Fall Stamp Set onto a separate sheet of cardstock including the owl, bear, and more leaves and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating Happy Fall Die Set to die cut my leaves, owl, and bear.

As I began to piece together my scene I realized that the background was looking a bit too white. I used a Mini Ergonomic Blending Brush and some blue ink to add some random "blobs" of ink in between the trees to simulate clouds. I added the die cut leaves to the bottom of the scene and added the owl and bear with foam tape.

I stamped a sentiment from the Happy Fall Stamp Set above the bear's head and at the last minute I decided I wanted a pop of a pattern behind my scene, I cut my scene panel with the second largest die from the Layered Rectangles A2 Die Set and used the largest die from that same die set to cut a piece of polka dotted patterned paper from the Best Friends 6x6 Paper Pad and layered them together. Thanks for stopping by! Happy Fall!
