LDRS Creative | Combining the Carefree Gnomes and Build-a-Tree Stamp Sets

I just LOVE how easy LDRS Creative makes it to combine their products! I combined two new stamp and die sets with an older stencil and die set - and I used their Hybrid Inks to bring it all together!

I love to create scene cards - but I'm not good at big, fancy, elaborate scenes. So I keep my scenes simple! Great news! LDRS Creative's products are perfect for elaborate scenes or simple scenes like mine! I started with the Rainy Day Stencil - my favorite stencil for scene building! I used Marina Madness Hybrid Ink and blended off the top of the stencil to get a row of puffy clouds. Then I shifted my stencil down a bit and blended Marina Madness Hybrid Ink off the top again and repeated the process until my background was full of puffy clouds. The Rainy Day Stencil has a grassy border as well, but I wanted to add some easy dimension to my scene, so I decided to cut a piece of white cardstock with one of the In the Grass Dies. I added color to the die cut with Pistachios-a-Plenty Hybrid Ink and an ink blending tool.

Now it's time to add some images to the scene! I LOVE the Build-a-Tree Stamp Set! You can quite literally build a tree! There is a large trunk image as well as multiple branches and even a few different types of leaves! You can add as few or as many "accessories" to the tree as you want! I stamped out the images from the Build-a-Tree Stamp Set with Raven Hybrid Ink and colored them with markers and cut them with the coordinating Build-a-Tree Die Set. I didn't add many leaves to my tree because I wanted my scene to take place under the tree, but you could add a whole bunch if you wanted! And you know what? The new Carefree Gnomes Stamp Set pairs PERFECTLY with the Build-a-Tree Stamp Set! I stamped a bunch of the little Carefree Gnomes with Raven Hybrid Ink and die cut them with the coordinating dies and added everybody to my scene with foam tape for dimension.

because I used a die cut grassy border I was able to tuck images behind my grass giving me more dimension! I finished the card by using Raven Hybrid Ink to stamp a sentiment on my ink blended grass from the Carefree Gnomes Stamp Set. I hope you enjoyed this little scene!
