I love the Party Hats Background Stamp because it's a pull apart stamp! There have been more and more of them from the Simon Hurley create. collection and I love how it really expands the use of the stamp! I'll have another card in a few weeks showing the pull apart feature of the Party Hats Background Stamp, but today I decided to stamp it all at once and use it as a full background stamp. I stamped it using Over the Moon Ink onto a piece of Stark White Cardstock. I ended up double stamping to get a darker concentration of color.
My little birthday characters are from the Cake Walk Stamp Set. This stamp set has a balloon, ice cream cone, cake, cupcake ... all the cute birthday items! And they have accent stamps! Sprinkles for the cupcake or ice cream cone, hashmarks for the cone, solid layering for the balloon, and my favorite! - Two Styles of legs and arms and three styles of faces! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! You can make the cutest little birthday characters! And mix and match to get a bunch of different styles!
I stamped the birthday goodies from the Cake Walk Stamp Set onto Stark White Cardstock and added faces, legs, and arms. Then I colored them with Copic Markers. You can see which markers I used in the video! Once I was done coloring I cut them out with scissors and decided to add some sprinkles to the cupcake with Remember Me Dye Ink.
I finished off the card with a stamped sentiment from the Cake Walk Stamp Set and popped up my elements with foam tape. I added a bit of clear shimmer and some silver mirror gems. That's it! Thanks for stopping by!
