Simon Hurley create. // New Release and Ink Blended Card

Hello!! Are you excited? I am! Simon Hurley create. just revealed his new release just in time for Mother's Day! There are two new stencils, two new 6x6 background stamps, two new 6x8 clear stamp sets, and a new ink color! You can grab this whole release in a bundle here! Watch my video below to get a peek at the whole release and make an easy ink blended card.

I couldn't wait to use the new Jewel Heist background stamp! This stamp is one of the Simon Hurley create. pull apart background stamps. It breaks up into three separate parts so you can stamp just the middle, the top or bottom, or keep all three pieces together for a full background. So so so fun!

I took advantage of the pull apart feature of the Jewel Heist background stamp and decided to stamp just the top and bottom portions of the stamp. I used a piece of Stark White Cardstock and heat embossed the geometric pattern with Versamark Ink and white embossing powder. I chose a sentiment from the Doodle Florals stamp set and white embossed it in the center of the background.

I wanted to show off the new Prom Queen Dye Ink, so I used a Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and blended Prom Queen Ink across the middle of the heat embossed background. This new ink color blends BEAUTIFULLY with the existing line of inks from Simon Hurley create. I blended Crown Me Dye Ink at the bottom and Remember Me Dye Ink at the top and they all look gorgeous together! I added some spritzes of water with a Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer. You could definitely skip this step for a smooth blend, but I just LOVE the way the Simon Hurley create. inks react with water!

I added a few gems here and there - mainly because I had an inky fingerprint I needed to cover up! Haha! And my card is done! All of the new release products from Simon Hurley create. are available NOW! So head on over and shop! See you soon!
