Simon Hurley create. // Bubble Wrap Stencil with Deco Foil Transfer Gel BLANCO

Oh how I love a nice stamp layering stamp set! And the new Doodle Florals stamp set from Simon Hurley create. is SO simple to layer! I gave it a little oomph with some white gel pen accents and a stenciled background.

I started with the Bubble Wrap stencil to create a drastically contrasting background. I sprayed to back of the Bubble Wrap stencil with Pixie Spray to temporarily adhere it to a piece of black cardstock. I used a Stencil Pal to spread some Deco Foil Transfer Gel BLANCO over the stencil and set it aside to dry. The BLANCO Gel is meant to be used to transfer flock, foil, etc. to the cardstock, but it is the smoothest and whitest medium that I have ever found! I decided to leave it just as it is!

While my background was drying I stamped out a bunch of florals from the Doodle Florals stamp set. I LOVE this stamp set! The outline and solid images can be stamped separately, so there are SO many color possibilities! And if you don't want to use the solid images you can stamp just the outlines and color them with watercolors, markers, or pencils! I found it easiest for me to stamp the outlines in black and then stamp the solid images in color second. I used alllll the colors of Simon Hurley create. Dye Inks to stamp the Doodle Flowers onto Stark White Cardstock. When I was done stamping I used a white gel pen to color in portions of the flowers and stems and give little accents to the images. I cut out all the images and picked out my favorite flowers to arrange on the front of my card.

I just love the black and white background with the Bubble Stencil and the pretty flowers from the Doodle Florals stamp set! I'll be back soon with more inspiration from Simon Hurley create.!
