i-crafter // Watercolor Ink Smooshing and Subtle Embossing

Well, hello there! I got super inky with my background today, added some embossing for texture, and an outlined die cut sentiment. Hooray for fabulous i-crafter products!

Let's start with the background. It's easy to do! Just smoosh some water reactive ink down on a work surface, spritz with water, and dip a piece of watercolor cardstock into the inky goodness! Dry ... and repeat!

When I was all done I decided to add some subtle texture. I used the Water Lily 3D Embossing Folder - but without adding the shim to my die cutting machine. So instead of a bold 3D outline I have just some subtle raises in my background.

I wanted a simple sentiment that would really stand out. Haley Outline Dies to the rescue! I cut out the word "hello" twice - once from white and once from black cardstock. I lined up the white letters and glued them onto my background and pieced the black outlines around them.

I finished off my card to match my sentiment - a black border on a white card base. And that's all! See you soon!
