Hi, there! I just love the simplicity and elegance of a stamped background with a die cut sentiment on top! These cards are easy and perfect with the right products! I used the new Tropical Leaves background stamp from Erin Lee Creative with one of my favorite dies from her line to create this simple card!
I stamped the Tropical Leaves Background stamp with black ink and colored it in with Copic markers. I don't see many purple leaves (haha!) but I decided that was the color for me! I used V09, V06, and V15 and I love how the background looks! Because the Tropical Leaves Background stamp is so detailed with lots of shading drawn into the stamp I didn't need to do a lot of blending. I just used a flicking motion to help the colors blend into each other. Then I outlined each leaf shape with an N2 Copic marker to help them pop off the page.
I loved the background so much that I didn't want to cover it up! I used the Big Hello Love Die set to cut out a sentiment for my card. I die cut the word once from some gold foil cardstock and four more times from kraft cardstock and used glue to stack them together. This is the best way I've found to get dimension behind a die cut sentiment.
That's all for this card! You could definitely embellish further with sequins or gems - but I LOVE the simplicity of just a background stamp and sentiment! See you soon!
