Okay so buckle up. I have a TON of photos for you! This card is one of my favorites I've made in a long time! And the EZ Lights make all the difference in bringing this card to life!

It's easiest to see how this card came together if you watch my video above. I used the Kindred Stamps Forest Stencil to create my background. This super fun stencil has four pieces so that you can stencil two different lines of trees and even mask them off. I used Pixie Spray to make sure that none of my stencil pieces moved while I was inking. I used the negative pieces of the mask and covered up the trees and positioned the Kindred Stamps Moon and Stars Stencil over top and used a Stencil Pal to add some Gold Glitz Glitter Gel for my starry sky.

I stamped and colored my images from the Pink & Main Happy Camper stamp set and die cut them with the Happy Camper Dies. I covered each image with a healthy dose of Liquid Pixie Dust from InkOn3 because everything is better with sparkle! Now it's time to build my light up element! I positioned my pieces on my background where I wanted them to go and used a paper piercer to pierce through the light up portions ( the car headlight, the flashlight, and the lantern ) through the die cut image and background so that the light could shine through.

I colored a piece of vellum with a dark yellow Copic marker and positioned it at the back of my inked background piece so that when the EZ Lights shine through to the front of my card they would be yellow tinted.

This is my card base - and let's be honest. It's not pretty. Who cares? You're not going to see it! I marked where the lights needed to be by lining up my inked background piece with my card base and adding a pencil mark so that I knew exactly where my pierced holes were. I taped down my battery pack where I wanted the "push here" button to be and then ran each of the three lights to the pencil marks and taped them down with washi tape. Just to make sure they didn't budge I added some double sided adhesive over the wires making sure nothing interfered with the lights themselves.

I added a double layer of foam tape all around my EZ Lights mechanism so that the button wouldn't be constantly pushed and added my card front on top of the card base. I pushed the button and like magic my little camping scene lights up! Seriously how AWESOME are these EZ Lights!!

I hope you've enjoyed this EZ Light tutorial! Remember to check out my video above for a full step by step tutorial! Don't forget that you have a chance to win some EZ Lights for your craft room!
