I love the little card soldiers in the Painting the Roses stamp set! And they pair PERFECTLY with the Pick a Card stencil! I wanted to have a two toned background with a punch, so I decided to do some simple masking! I sprayed the back of the stencil with Pixie Spray and tacked it onto a piece of cardstock. I used 1/2" Purple Tape to mask off the diamonds and hearts. This was super easy because they were in diagonal patterns! I used a blending tool and blended on some Black Soot Distress Oxide ink to the spades and clubs.
Once I was done blending ink onto my card I wiped the excess ink off the stencil with a microfiber cloth and removed the Purple Tape, but I left the stencil in place. I used the Purple Tape once again to mask off the clubs and spades and used a Stencil Pal to spread some Red Velvet Glitz Glitter Gel to give some sparkle, shine, and texture to the hearts and diamonds. I'm left with such a fun background!
I set my background aside to dry and I stamped out a bunch of images from the Painting the Roses stamp set. I can't tell you enough how much I love this stamp set! Seriously love love love!
Once my background was dry I added my images to the card using a mix of liquid adhesive and foam adhesive for dimension. I stamped a sentiment from the Painting the Roses stamp set with red ink and trimmed it into a banner. I coated all of the images with some Liquid Pixie Dust for shimmer!
I hope you've enjoyed these projects using the new release from Miss Ink Stamps! And I want to give a HUGE thank you to Miss Ink Stamps for having me as a guest designer! I'll see you all soon!
