LDRS Creative March Feature Day 1 // Slimline Shaker Card Video Tutorial

Hey, everyone! It's time for the two day feature from LDRS Creative! Today the design team is featuring the new Slimline Scallop Die. I took it a step further and used the Slimline Scallop Die to create a shaker card!

I decided that a slimline card just wasn't "pow!" enough. Let's be honest, we're all experiencing some stress and anxiety, so I wanted to up the happy a bit! I used the Slimline Scallop Die and the Coming Up Daisies Stencil to create a rainbow ink blended slimline shaker card! I started by die cutting the base die from the Slimline Scallop Die Set from some white cardstock and used he largest stitched circle die from the Slimline Scallop Die Set to cut two circle windows at the top and bottom of the slimline panel. These will become my shaker windows.

I masked off the top of the Coming Up Daisies Stencil so that I just had the hilly border at the top of the stencil and used all 12 new Hybrid Ink colors to blend a rainbow background down my slimline background panel. I used Soft Kisses, Fandango, Tickled Pink, Tangerine Dream, Banana Cream Pie, Pistachios-a-Plenty, Prickly Pear Perfection, Marina Madness, Tropical Sea, Fairie Dust, Parisian Purple, Boysenberry Blast - and then even more Soft Kisses and Fandango at the bottom. I'm totally in LOVE with these 12 Hybrid Ink colors and how well they pair together! And here's a little tip for you! I always clean my stencils with the Extreme Clean Stamp Cleaner to make sure all of the Hybrid Ink comes off of the stencil. I created two shaker windows by adding a piece of acetate behind the die cut circles and forming a "well" with foam tape. I used some rainbow foam pieces and backed the shaker windows with a piece of black polka dot patterned paper from the Sweet Sensations 6x6 Paper Pack.

I stamped some images from the Veggie Pals stamp set with Raven Hybrid Ink and colored them with alcohol markers then die cut them with the Veggie Pals die set. I die cut the sentiment with the Love You Die five times and used liquid glue to stack them together for dimension. I glued them to the center of the Slimline Scallop Die background between the two shaker windows. And that's all! I hope you enjoyed this bit of inspiration!
