Pink & Main and ThermOWeb Collaboration - Creating Stencils with Dies

Hello! It's time for a fun collaboration! Pink & Main has teamed up with ThermOWeb to show how fabulously their products work together! I'm fortunate to design for both of these amazing companies and I absolutely LOVE their products! I put together a little video to show you how I created my own DIY stencil with the Bold Snowflakes dies from Pink & Main and used the Brilliant Blue Glitz Glitter Gel from ThermOWeb to create a sparkly background!

I was inspired to make this card by a fellow Pink & Main design team member! I saw a post where she die cut the Bold Snowflakes from her cardstock and then used patterned paper behind the cut outs. I wanted to recreate that look with some Glitz Glitter Gel - but that posed a small problem. I couldn't easily just layer some of the Glitz Glitter Gel onto a card base without it looking spotty. After brainstorming I decided to create my own stencil! I used two oversized pieces of heavy weight cardstock and temporarily taped them together with some Purple Tape and repeatedly die cut the Bold Snowflakes dies from the cardstock to create a stencil. I kept the positive pieces of the Bold Snowflakes dies ( the snowflakes themselves ) to use later on in this card.

I sprayed the back of my die cut stencil with Pixie Spray and layed it over my card base and used a Stencil Pal to add some Brilliant Blue Glitz Glitter Gel over the top. I LOVED the snowflake pattern this created! Remember that I kept the snowflakes that I die cut to create my stencil? I used my fingers to curl up the edges a bit and glued down only the centers of the snowflakes with iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive on top of the stenciled Brilliant Blue Glitz Glitter Gel so that the snowflakes have a 3D effect with a sparkly shadow! I wanted my sentiment to shine just as much as my background, so I used a piece of an iCraft 6x6 Easy Cut Adhesive Sheet and transferred some Silver Shattered Glass Deco Foil onto a piece of cardstock and die cut it with the Bold Christmas Die. I thought it blended in to the background a bit too much, so I backed it with a piece of vellum, cut it out, and added it to my card with iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive.

I hope you love these 3D Bold Snowflakes with the Brilliant Blue Glitz Background as much as I do! And I hope you are inspired to use dies to create your own stencil, too! The design team members from Pink & Main and ThermOWeb will be sharing collaboration inspiration with you all week! In fact - I'll have another project for ThermOWeb using Pink & Main products later on this week! Hope to see you then!
