Mixing Simon Hurley Create. and Deco Foil Toner Sheets

Hi! You all probably already know just how much I love the Caroling Squad stamp set from Simon Hurley Create.! Especially the large Christmas tree image! I decided to make a tree background with Deco Foil Toner Sheets and have that large tree be my focal point! Don't forget to use code SIMDES20 for 20% off your Simon Hurley Create. order!

I stamped out the tree image twice from the Caroling Squad stamp set onto Stark White Cardstock ( my favorite! ) and colored them with dark green Copic markers and trimmed them out with scissors. While I was coloring I had my laminator heating up so that it would be nice an hot! I trimmed down a sheet of the O' Christmas Tree Deco Foil Toner Sheet - one to be the size of an A2 card and one to be slightly smaller. I foiled the full sized toner sheet with Silver Deco Foil and the smaller one with Gold Deco Foil. This is such a great way to create an easy and clean background! And they're super shiny!

I thought the foil was getting lost against a white card base, so I used some Simon Hurley Create. Bee Sting Dye Ink and blended it onto the card base. The ink blending really made the foil pop! I added the tree on top and popped up some sentiments from the Caroling Squad stamp set to finish off these Christmas cards! Remember to use code SIMDES20 for 20% off your order! Happy shopping!
