I used a bunch of new products from this release and paired them with some previously released products! And remember that I have a video tutorial for this card at the end of my post if you want to see everything that went into the making of this card! I started by gathering a bunch of pieces of watercolor cardstock. I knew that I was going to be blending some LDRS Creative hybrid inks to create my background and I find that inks blend beautifully on watercolor cardstock! I started with my cloudy sky background using the Rainy Day stencil and some Swimming Hole Hybrid Ink. I just flipped my stencil over and used both sides so that I would get some variation to the cloudy background.

Then came lots of die cutting! I used the By the Sea die and die cut 3 wavy background pieces, the At the Beach die, and I cut out a sun from the Here Comes the Sun die set - all from watercolor cardstock. And then lots of ink blending! I used Iced Tea for the beach and sand castle, Bali Blue for the waves, and Lantern Yellow for the sun. Now .... you know I get heavy handed with the ink blending haha! So of course I had some areas where I left harsh marks with my blending tool. To cover that up I added flicks of ink using the same colors I blended with. I love the effect!

To complete my card I stamped out the CUTEST whale image from the Whale Wishes stamp set with Raven Hybrid ink and colored him in with alcohol markers and popped him up with foam squares. I added a white heat embossed sentiment using LDRS Creative Watermark Emboss ink and White Embossing Powder to the left side of my card and clear shimmer to the stitched die details and whale. Here's my how-to video!

Thanks for watching! I hope you love this cute scene card!
