Faux Frame Wedding Card

Hey, everyone! I hope you've checked out the new release from The Rabbit Hole Designs! There are two new stamp sets and they are perfect for spring celebrations!

I saw this couple in the Happily Ever After stamp set and I wanted to create a faux framed wedding scene! It was actually super easy! Let's start with the inked scene! I masked off a rounded hill from the bottom of a piece of watercolor cardstock and blended on some Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Ink. Then I used the Clouds stencil from Pink & Main and blended Broken China ink lightly along the outline of the puffy clouds. I thought my background needed some flowers, so I stamped the three small flowers from the Easter Bounty stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs along the hill and colored them with Copic markers. To finish off my background I stamped the sentiment from the Happily Ever After stamp set and heat embossed it with clear powder.

I stamped my happy couple onto heavy weight cardstock and colored them with Copic markers. I cut them out and glued them onto my scene. The frame was so easy to make! I just took a piece of 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inch cardstock and die cut a rectangle from the center leaving me with a regular frame. Then I took my scissors and snipped from the outside corner to the inside corner creating four strips with diagonally cut edges. I used my Copic markers N2 and the colorless blender to add some flicks of color to each edge and adhered them to my background with foam tape!

You could customize the appearance of the couple and the colors to create a faux framed card for any couple in your life! I hope you got inspired today! See you soon!

Now let's see what's in the kit!

As always - there are two variations of the kit. The Double Dip kit comes with everything in the first photo. Four collections of goodies, four envelopes, two sheets of 110lb white cardstock, and six sheets of colored cardstocks to coordinate with the kit. The Banana Split kit comes with everything in the Double Dip kit as well as an extra pack of goodies! The extra goodie pack has a sentiment stamp set, Nuvo drops, paper borders, and a "hooray" die! And this is Scrapping for Less's first die! I love it! Definitely worth the upgrade!!

Scrapping for Less also gives you sketches to play with each month! You can find them on the website here! Let's dive right in and look at the 5 cards that I made!

I love that this kit has products for a bunch of different kinds of celebrations! Ice cream, birthday, baby and friends!

I created my first card using the first collection and the third sketch. I love the Ice Cream Celebrations stamp set by Scrapping for Less! I decided to color my ice cream the way I like it! Vanilla with a bit of hot fudge! I used my Staedtler felt tipped markers to color the image on watercolor cardstock. I also used some of the kraft cardstock and Ice Cream Celebrations patterned paper as well as the peel off sticker lines for this card.

No matter what I tried I just couldn't get the cardstocks to line up correctly with the sketch, so I eliminated one of the patterned papers and just went with two!

Collection two is all about birthdays! And I love that the colors in this collection are great for boys or girls! I need more cards like that in my stash! I decided to follow sketch two for this card and used the Happy Birthday papers from Scrapping for Less and the ephemera cupcake as my focal points. I stamped the sentiment from the Floating By stamp set from Sunny Studio Stamps onto banner strips and lined them up at the bottom of my focal image.

I finished off my card with some of the sequins by Scrapping for Less. I have to say that the sequins throughout this whole kit are some of my favorite! I love that there's a mix of sizes, colors, and that some of them have the holes in the middle and some are the flat confetti pieces!

I think this card is my favorite that I made today! I used ingredients from the third collection and loosely followed the fourth sketch. The Baby stamp from Your Next Stamp is the cutest! I love the little bear and bunny images and wanted them to be the background of my card! I stamped them repeatedly on a piece of watercolor cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink and colored them with my Staedtler felt tipped markers. I only used two markers total - a light pink for the ears, nose and tummy and a cream color for the rest of their bodies! I also stamped and colored the little blocks. I wanted to keep this a general neutral card so I chose yellow and green colors.

I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the Baby stamp set onto kraft cardstock. I followed the fourth sketch - but turned it 90 degrees and put the strip at the bottom of my card. rather than 3 diamond accents I cut out the blocks and lined them up on my strip as the accents. I added a scattering of the clear sequins to finish my card.

I LOVE that this kit celebrates friendships! Celebrating our friends is something we need to do more often! I followed the first sketch almost exactly - the only thing I changed is the size of the focal image. The patterned papers in this collection are from Pinkfresh Studios and they are gorgeous! The colors are FABULOUS! I stamped the Snapshot Friends stamp by Stamping Bella onto watercolor cardstock - but I masked off the portion that makes it a Polaroid leaving just a framed image. I colored it with my Staedtler felt tipped markers and backed it with a piece of kraft cardstock.

I finished it off with a cardstock sticker strip from Pinkfresh Studios and some sequins from the mix by Scrapping for Less!

I just HAD to use the new Hooray die from Scrapping for Less! this is included in the Banana Split kit and it's so amazing! You can use it for a variety of occasions! I wanted to go back and use the Floating By stamp set by Sunny Studio from the second collection. I stamped the balloons onto an A2 cardbase using the 110lb white cardstock from the kit and out of habit started watercoloring with my Staedtler felt tipped markers. As soon as I brought water to my paper I thought I had ruined everything! It's quite difficult to move color on cardstock that isn't made to work with water - but I just ran with it and made it work!

I cut the sentiment from some navy cardstock included in the kit and stamped some coordinating sentiments from the Floating By stamp set. I added some blue Nuvo Drops and that finished my card!

You can check out my videos below! The first one is my unboxing of the March 2019 FOTM kit! I'll show you everything you'll receive! And the second is my 5 cards 1 kit video where I'll show you just how I made each of these cards! After you watch make sure you hop through the rest of the team's blogs for more inspiration! Kid's Apron with Artesprix Markers

Hi! I love that the Artesprix sublimation markers in the March kit from The Hedgehog Hollow can be used on any fabric containing polyester! I headed out to my local craft store and picked up a kid's apron for my son to decorate! He loves to cook and craft with me and he needs an apron of his own!

I wanted to let Jax (3 years) have creative freedom since this is his apron - but I did have to help him a bit! If you haven't watched my video on how to use the Artesprix sublimation markers along with your stamps I encourage you to click here and watch! He picked out which stamps he wanted - the Keep on Trucking stamp set from Your Next Stamp is his current favorite! I used the black marker and colored on the stamp and stamped them onto plain typing paper. I used the same process as in my video - work in small areas using my MISTI so that I can double stamp to get a crisp black outline.

Then I let him color in his images! He had so much fun! Once he was done I heated up my iron, put the image face down onto the apron, and pressed with the hot iron for about 4 minutes. I do want to mention that these images did not turn out as vibrant as my last project because this apron is only 50% polyester. Artesprix recommends that you use at least 80% polyester, but I still love how it turned out!

I used the black marker and wrote his name onto a piece of computer paper and used the iron for 4 minutes to transfer the image onto the top of the apron. Remember that images will be mirrored once they are applied so if you are using text you will need to write the mirror image onto the paper! Thankfully his name was easy to do!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you'll try these markers on other fabrics around your house!

The We Are Family stamp set is great for Mother's Day, Father's Day, or just for general cards, too! I wanted to create a graphic black and white scene with the pops of color coming from just the stamped image. I created my scene by stamping the houses and clouds from the Love You More stamp set. I love these houses! They are some of my favorite stamps ever! I wanted to keep the background clean, so I added just bits of gray marker here and there for some shadow.

One of the great things about the We Are Family stamp set is that the sentiments are buildable! I just butted up the three separate words and stamped them onto the right side of my card all at once. Then I stamped, colored, and cut out the adorable images from the We Are Family stamp set and added them to the scene with foam tape!

I just love this little scene! So cute!

I decided to make my own striped patterned paper for my next card. I started by using washi tape and masking off skinny lines and blending on Distress Inks. I used Spun Sugar and Tattered Rose and alternated the inks blending them in the middle. One stripe I would do Spun Sugar on the left and Tattered Rose on the right and the next I would switch and do Spun Sugar on the right and Tattered Rose on the left!

I cut out my striped background with a stitched rectangle die and backed it with a cloudy die from Pink & Main and used foam tape behind that to give some dimension to my card. I built my stamp set and stamped it at the bottom of my card. I stamped, colored, and cut out my images and glued them directly to my card.

I hope you've enjoyed this look at the We Are Family stamp set! Head over to The Rabbit Hole Designs shop to check out the release! And be sure to hop along and leave comments on every blog in the hop for your chance to win the We Are Family stamp set

Alcohol Inked Narwhal Card

Hey, everyone! I hope you've been loving the new release from Pink & Main! This month Pink & Main are celebrating their 5th birthday so all the products in this release are celebration themed! How perfect!

I had an idea for a magical, dreamy underwater scene - so I grabbed my alcohol inks and started playing around! I only used a pink and a light blue, but I used lots of blending solution and let them mix to create the purple! I LOVE how it turned out! It's just what I had in mind! I used the Narwhals stamp set from a while back and stamped the images and colored them with my watercolor markers. I love how the gray plays off the colors in the background!

I've mentioned it before - but I'm really trying to build up my stash of birthday cards - so this release is amazing! I used the Celebrate die set and cut the sentiment from white cardstock and the shadow from vellum. Then I stamped a coordinating sentiment from the Celebrate stamp set and embossed it with white powder. The white against the background is so ethereal! I'm in love!

The new Celebrate stamps and dies are a staple in my craft room! And I know they will be in yours too! See you soon!

I am absolutely OBSESSED with the new Indian Background Stamp from the March release at Erin Lee Creative! I immediately thought of gold embossing and I knew I wanted to pair it with some older coordinating products!

I started with a piece of A2 sized cardstock and stamped the Indian Background Stamp with Versamark ink and embossed it with Ranger Gold embossing powder. I used my Gansai Tambi watercolors straight from the pans and added a wash of color over the background. I wanted bold colors, so I let the background dry and repeated the process twice more to get deeper color. The Incredible India stamp set pairs PERFECTLY with the background stamp - and I just love elephants! I stamped the elephant and colored it with my watercolors and used the coordinating die to cut out the image and glue it to the right side of my card. I die cut the You Are Incredible word die from white cardstock so that it would really pop!

I like to make multiple cards at once - especially with watercolored backgrounds! While one is drying I'm painting another! I used the same process for this second card - heat embossed the Indian Background Stamp and added some green watercolor over the top. I started with a flat wash of color, but added a few different shades of green to build up color and create depth. I stamped and watercolored the elephant from the Incredible India stamp set and die cut it with the coordinating die set. Instead of die cutting a sentiment I decided to stamp the sentiment from the Incredible India stamp set and create a banner.

I hope you love these cards! A lot of the new products from the March release are made to fit like a glove with existing products! Remember to hop along and get more inspiration from the other blogs! Erin is giving away three $25 gift cards!

The Happily Ever After stamp set is GORGEOUS! It features three images of this super cute little couple and a bunch of scripty sentiments! To make my first card I cut a piece of cardstock and folded it so that I had a letter size card. Long cards are an easy way to add a bit of "wow" and step outside of the standard greeting card size!

I started by masking off all of my card except for a skinny strip near the bottom. I wanted to have a gradient of color going across - dark on the left and light on the right. I used Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar, and Tattered Rose Distress Inks. I removed the masking tape and stamped my sentiment with black ink.

I stamped and colored my image with Copics and added it with foam tape to the right side of my card!

I rarely make wedding cards and often find myself needing to make one quickly. One of my favorite ways to customize a wedding card is to use the couple's wedding colors on their card!

This background is super easy to create! I grabbed a bunch of colors of ink cubes and used the edge to quickly swipe color across my card. I kept the color darker towards the center and lighter towards the edges. I stamped my sentiment at the bottom in black. I colored my image from the Happily Ever After stamp set with Copics, cut it out, and adhered it directly to my card front. You can change up the colors to match whatever you need to!

I hope you enjoyed looking at these cards! Check out The Rabbit Hole Designs shop to find the new release and be sure to hop through all the designer's cards for a chance to with the Happily Ever After stamp set

Kindred Stamps March Release

Hi, everyone! I hope you've been inspired by the sneaks you've seen for the March release from Kindred Stamps! I have another for you using the Bloom stamp set!!

The Bloom stamp set is perfect for spring and Mother's Day! I love the adorable children images and the floral cluster! Scroll down to the bottom of this post to watch my process video! I started by repeatedly stamping the floral cluster across the bottom of my card using Gina K Amalgam ink and a bit of masking.

I grabbed a bunch of Copic and Spectrum Noir markers and colored in the flowers, grass, and the little boy. I modeled the boy after my son so that he can give this card to my mom for Mother's Day!

I wanted to add some color to my background, but I'm not good with blending alcohol markers - especially on a large scale, so I used some Distress Oxide ink and watercolored my sky! I added my image and sentiment onto my card and I was finished! I hope you enjoy the video!

Thanks for stopping by today!
