Lawn Fawn Sending Hedgehugs Silhouette Card

Hey, everyone! I hope you are doing well! I'm excited to be back today with another video! My cards today are inspired by a card that Jess from Jess Crafts made about a month ago. She made a card using her die cuts to create silhouette shapes with a sunrise background, so I thought I'd try out her technique! If you want to watch her video please click here!

Here's the card I made in the video! I actually ended up making a set of cards, and I'll share that photo in a bit! I love the way the die cuts pop against the night sky background! 

To start I used some Distress inks to create my backdrop. I used Dusty Concord, Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire, and a bit of Black Soot. I used my ink blending tool and just blended the ink over the entire background. I die cut the piece with the largest of the Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangle dies. 

I did minimal stamping for this card. I really wanted the die cuts to be the center of the card. I used the Lawn Fawn Winter in the Park stamp set to stamp the bench and the street lamp in Versafine Onyx Black ink. I also used the sentiment from the Hedgehugs stamp set with the Versafine ink. 

I thought the street lamp needed a little something, so I inked up my mini round ink blending tool with Squeezed Lemonade ink and just pounced it right over top of the light. This makes it look like the light is shining just a bit!

I used the Lawn Fawn Hedgehugs dies and die cut both of the little critters and the heart from black cardstock. I also die cut a stitched rectangle from the cardstock and then used the My Favorite Things stitched snowdrifts die to create a little hill. I placed the hill flat onto the card used some black foam squares behind the hedgehogs and the little heart. 

That's it! I made five cards in total and I arranged the scenes a little differently in each one. I love how these turned out! Here's a video tutorial:
