Simon Says Stamp January 2015 Card Kit Video #1

Hello! I'm sorry for the delay posting this video. I had every intention of posting it on Friday, but as I was doing the voice-over weird things kept happening! My voice would be fine for the first minute or so, but then my editing software would morph my voice into something creepy! Almost like those ransom tape voices! Ick! It took me 5 tries to finally get it to stop! I don't know what happened!

Anyways, here is another card made with the SSS Winter Wonderland card kit. I received the bonus embellishment pack, so I've used a few of the extras on this card.

The background paper is a panel from that extra pack. All I did to it was just trim it down so that it would fit on my card base.

I stamped my sentiment onto some white paper using dye ink and embossing powder. What?! Yes! I embossed with dye ink! Here's the trick - ink up the stamp first with embossing ink. Then, without stamping, apply your dye ink (In my case Studio Calico's Purple Rain ink) right over top of the embossing ink. Then give it a good press onto your paper, sprinkle on some embossing powder like normal, and heat! I was able to use my favorite purple ink with my Recollection sparkle embossing powder for some extra glitz. So exciting!

I added a few tiny strips of patterned paper and some arrows from my embellishment pack. I stamped the sentiment "so much" in Purple Rain ink and threaded some silver thread through the top and trimmed down the threads. Next, I looped some more silver thread and pinched it in the middle with a glue dot and adhered my little tag right on top.

After I was done filming the video I thought the card needed a little something else, so I added some different sized sequins from Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks for joining me! I plan to be back in a day or two with some new craft room goodies to share!!
