WCMD Studio Calico Challenge #2

This is my second post for today! If you want to see my SSS challenge cards just scroll down!

Studio Calico Challenges are underway! Head over to the message boards to participate! This one was a really quick challenge for me, since I'm getting ready to head over to my parent's house, but I wanted to participate in at least one challenge today!

This challenge is to use your stamps to create a PL card. I don't do Project Life, so I don't have any cards to go by, but I did my best!

Here it is! I used the stamp set from this month's card kit to make this card. I started with a 3 x 4 inch card made from Neenah 110lb paper. I stamped the circle and the diamond and the sentiment in Clean Slate ink from SC...but I thought it needed a little more sparkle. So I stamped over the ring image with Emboss It ink and used Silver Tinsel embossing powder to make it shiny!

It still seemed a bit boring, so I pulled out some more inks from Studio Calico - Sunny Day, Blush Crush, Coral Bay, and Flamingo - to be exact! I used my mini round ink blending tool to give some color to my PL card. I think most of these types of cards are rounded, so I used my corner chomper to give a 1/4 inch rounded corner to the card.

But I didn't stop there! It is World Card Making Day, right?! And I am a card maker, right?! So I just had to put this onto a card!

I used the gray cardstock from the kit to create my card base and cut a layer from one of the patterned papers and rounded the corners with the 1/2 inch setting on my corner chomper. I wanted the PL card to be the centerpiece, since that is the challenge...so I just mounted that onto my card with some foam squares. That's it!

Thanks for joining me!
