LDRS Creative | You Are So Special Spotlight Heart Card

Hey, everyone! I have an easy card to share that's just PERFECT for Valentine's Day! I used a spotlight stencil from LDRS Creative - it made this masked design a breeze!

The Heart Spotlight 6x6 Stencil comes with two pieces - the stencil with a heart cut out and the actual heart. Usually I reach for the stencil with the shape cut out so that I can blend a colored shape onto the front of my card, but this time I wanted to have the heart be white and make it look like the ink is popping out from behind the heart. 

I sprayed the back of the heart with a little bit of temporary adhesive and used a blending brush to blend Lipstick Jungle Hybrid Ink around the edge of the heart. I kept the ink heavier near the edge of the heart mask and blended it out so that it would be lighter on the outside. I left the mask in place and stamped the spatters from the Floral Solid Layering 4x6 Stamps with Scarlet Rose Hybrid Ink. 

The last thing to do is stamp a sentiment! I chose one from the Floral Solid Layering 4x6 Stamps and inked it up with Raven Hybrid Ink and that's it! You could EASILY mass produce these for your Valentine's Day cards! See you again soon!
