Pin & Main | Be a Mermaid in the Sunshine

I have a sneak peek of the new Pink & Main release to share with you! Just check out this mermaid! I couldn't resist using her on my card! 

I was instantly drawn to the Be a Mermaid Stamp Set and I just knew that I wanted to watercolor her! I used my water based markers and a water brush to color her and then added white details with a gel pen before cutting out the image with the Be a Mermaid Die Set. 

I wanted to give this card a whimsy under water look, so I temporarily adhered the Sunshine Layer Stencil onto white cardstock and used an Ergonomic Blending Brush to blend on yellow ink then shifted the stencil over to the second sunshine layer and blended on some aqua color ink. I added some black paint spatters for a bit of texture. 

I used the second largest die from the Stitched Rectangles 2 Die Set to cut out the Sunshine Layer Stencil Background to a focal panel and decided I needed another pop of color. The Vitamin Sea Paper Pack is full of so many gorgeous patterns I had trouble choosing just one! In the end I went with the simple polka dot pattern and cut it with the largest die in the Stitched Rectangle 1 Die Set. 

I stamped a sentiment from the Be a Mermaid Stamp Set and trimmed it into a banner and added it near the bottom of my card. I hope you've enjoyed this sneak peek! See you soon for the full release!
