Miss Ink Stamps | Pine Forest Sympathy Cards

Did you know silhouette stamps are one of my favorite styles of stamps? Well they are! I love stamping in black and having bold color behind the image. I used the Pine Forest Stamp Set from Miss Ink Stamps with Nuvo Shimmer Powders to make a quick set of sympathy cards. 

I used Nuvo Shimmer Powders to add color to my cards, but you could use regular watercolors, ink blending ... really anything to add color! 

I added a bit of the shimmer powder onto a piece of watercolor cardstock and spritzed it with water, dried it with my heat tool, and repeated until I was happy with the amount of color on my background. I stamped the Pine Forest Stamp near the bottom of my colored panel with a dark black pigment ink and heat embossed with clear powder. 

I finished off the cards by heat embossing a sentiment from the Everyday Sentiments Stamp Set onto black cardstock and adding it with foam tape near the right side of the card. I hope these cards inspire you!
