LDRS Creative | Friends Like You Springtime Scene

The snow is melting and I am READY for Spring! These cute little LDRS Creative critters set the springtime scene for me! Aren't they just the cutest?! 

I packed a BUNCH of products from the LDRS Creative February Release into this card! Let's start with the background! I wanted to create an easy peasy scene, so I grabbed the new Pastel Patterns 6x6 Paper Pack. I chose three patterns - a blue check for the sky, a green check for the ground, and a pink polka dot to give a break to the eye. I cut all three patterns with the largest die in the A2 Stitched Layered Card Toppers Die Set and then trimmed my panels to three different sizes. I keep to the "rule of threes" as a general principle when I am creating. It's pleasing to the eye - so we have three colors of paper in three different sizes! 

Now let's work on the rest of the pieces for the top of the card! I stamped the adorable jump roping critters from the Friends Like You Stamp Set with Raven Hybrid Ink, colored them with alcohol markers, and cut out the image with the coordinating Friends Like You Die Set. I wanted to use the GORGEOUS Sophie Alpha Stamp and Die Sets together for a fun look. I die cut the letters from white cardstock from both the Sophie Alpha Uppercase Die Set and the Sophie Alpha Lowercase Die Set and then stamped over them with the stamp sets! I used Fandango, Key Lime Pie, and Marina Madness Hybrid Inks and the Sophie Alpha Uppercase Stamp Set and the Sophie Alpha Lowercase Stamp Set. This is a great way to get custom colored die cut letters! 

My card needed just one more thing - a coordinating sentiment strip! I stamped the Get Well Sentiment Stack with Raven Hybrid Ink and die cut all of the sentiments with the Sentiment Stack Coordinating Die and mounted one with foam at the bottom of my card. Thanks so much for joining me today!
