LDRS Creative | City Streets Slim Line Card

Just look at these cute little foxes peeking through the car windows as they take a drive down a busy city street on their way home from getting their Christmas tree! At least that's what I'm picturing!

This scene card is incredibly easy to make! And involves just a bit of stretching to make a 6x6 patterned paper fill an 8.25" slim line card. Let's start with the background. I die cut the two slim line dies from the Slim Line Scallop Die Set together to create a reverse scalloped frame for my card. I chose one of my favorite patterns from the City Sidewalks 6x6 Paper Pack for my background, but it wasn't quite long enough to fill my slim line card. No problem! I cut a piece of the red plaid patterned paper to fill in the right side of my card and I made a plan to cover it up later!

I stamped the Christmas tree car from the City Streets Stamp Set along with a couple of cute foxes from the Snowball Fight Stamp Set with Raven Hybrid Ink and colored them with alcohol markers. I die cut the images with the coordinating City Streets Die Set and Snowball Fight Die Set and did a bit of creative trimming to the driver so that it looks like he's resting his hand on the steering wheel rather than throwing a snowball!

I added my image to the right side of my slim line card with foam tape to cover up my "stretched" patterned paper background. I stamped "Merry Christmas" from the Elegant Holiday Wishes Stamp Set with Evergreen Hybrid Ink and die cut the sentiment with a label shaped die from the Scalloped Rectangle Frames Die Set and tucked it under the left side of my frame to balance the card design. The gorgeous city scene from the City Sidewalks 6x6 Paper Pack really makes this card a breeze to create! I hope you'll try "stretching" your patterned papers! See you soon!
