My video above not only features the 5 cards I made with the kit, but also an overview of the contents of the Alaskan Adventures Craft Kit. But let's quickly go over the contents once more! You're going to get the 4x6 Alaskan Adventure Stamp Set AND the coordinating dies, the 4x4 Mountain Heights Stamp Set AND the coordinating dies, the In the Doghouse Border Die, the In the Doghouse Stencil Trio, 6 sheets of patterned paper, 4 sheets of coordinating colored cardstock, and an embellishment pack! That's an incredible value! LDRS Creative also offers the Falling Snow Add-On Die and it's beautiful! You'll see that in my last card.
I used the In the Doghouse Border Die for my first card. There are many ways to use this die - cut it from colored cardstock, patterned paper, add coloring with ink blending, or like me - die cut from white cardstock and add color with alcohol markers. I just find this way to be the easiest! I added the In the Doghouse Border Die onto a piece of patterned paper from the kit and added a sentiment and a couple of images from the Alaskan Adventure Stamp Set.
I usually try to keep just to the products in the kit for these types of videos, but I brought in one of my favorite LDRS Creative die sets for my second card. I started this card by altering the Mountain Heights Stamp Set from the kit. This is something I do frequently and it really helps to stretch my supplies! I stamped the scene without the airplane and filled in the trees with a black pen. I added a little bit of coloring and cut down my panel with a die from the Practically Oval Frames Die Set and finished my card with some patterned paper, hot pink cardstock, and an image from the kit.
My third card is one of my favorites! I strayed from the purple, pink, and blue color combo in the Alaskan Adventures Craft Kit and went rainbow! The In the Doghouse Stencils in the kit are a set of three layering stencils that create an adorable line of doghouses! I only used two of the three stencils - the third adds shading to the doors of the doghouses. I used LDRS Creative Hybrid Inks and the In the Doghouse Stencils to add three lines of doghouses to my card front and added black spatters for texture. I added a stamped sentiment from the Mountain Heights Stamp Set and some bubble gems from the embellishment pack to finish this simple rainbow card.
My fourth card is a shaker card. Everyone loves a shaker card, right?! I used another of my favorite LDRS Creative dies to help build my scene. I used the Over the Hills Die and cut white cardstock and added it to a piece of patterned paper from the craft kit. I used the lavender cardstock to create a frame and build my shaker and filled it with the embellishents ( plus some white "snow" from my stash ). I added two pups from the Alaskan Adventure Stamp Set as well as a sentiment to the front of the acetate.
I just couldn't complete this video without using the gorgeous Falling Snow Add-On Die! It's truly stunning! I went for a more classic winter card this time and cut the Falling Snow Add-On Die from silver star foiled cardstock. I added it with foam tape on top of the black shimmer cardstock from the Alaskan Adventures Craft Kit. I stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Wishes Sentiment Stack from the LDRS Creative Shop and die cut it with the Wave Ribbon Stack Coordinating Die. I finished off the card with my remaining bubble dots from the embellishment pack.
So that's it! The very first Craft Kit from LDRS Creative! Be sure to head over and order your Alaskan Adventures Craft Kit from the LDRS Creative Shop! I can't wait to see what you make!
