ThermOWeb | Quick Halloween Cards with Glitz Glitter Gel

It's just a few days before Halloween and I have a quick trio of Halloween cards featuring Glitz Glitter Gel to share with you!

These three cards only took me about an hour to complete from start to finish - including dry time! Now that's my idea of a quick card! We are just days away from Halloween and these cute and spooky cards would be perfect for last minute projects. I'm showing off three different colors of Glitz Glitter Gel - one original and two neons. These make the perfect spooky backgrounds!

Let's just jump right in! I created my first background with Screamin' Green Neon Glitz Glitter Gel. Doesn't it look like it glows!? It's fabulous! I lightly sprayed the back of the Kindred Stamps Jack O' Lantern Stencil with Pixie Spray and temporarily adhered it onto a piece of A2 black cardstock. I used a Stencil Pal and spread the Screamin' Green Neon Glitz Glitter Gel over the stencil. I like to add a thick layer with the Neon Glitz Glitter Gels so that they are more Opaque, but you don't have to.

I used a baby wipe and cleaned my stencil and placed it onto another piece of black cardstock. I forgot to wipe the back of my stencil, so I had enough Pixie Spray left on my stencil that I didn't need to add more. But this mistake proves advantageous in the end! I again used my Stencil Pal and spread some Orange Glow Neon Glitz Glitter Gel over the Jack O' Lantern Stencil. When I removed my stencil I realized I didn't do a good job wiping off my stencil and I had some Screamin' Green Glitz Glitter Gel transfer onto my Orange Glow design. At first I thought I should re-do it, but I quite like the look! It's like a double glow! It's very subtle, but a fun little surprise!

I made sure to wipe off my stencil very well this time, sprayed the back lightly with Pixie Spray, and tacked it to another piece of black cardstock. I used my Stencil Pal once again and this time spread Black Gina K Designs Glitz Glitter Gel over the Jack O' Lantern Stencil. I love the look of the Black Glitz Glitter Gel on the black cardstock!

When I'm creating quick or last minute cards I like to keep the designs simple with little to no coloring. I find that for me coloring is often the longest part of the card making process. I colored up a little ghost from the Sassy and Crafty All About the Boos Stamp Set for each of my cards. These images are large, but easy to color since the ghosts are white! I just outlined them with a light gray Copic Marker and quickly colored in their little accessories and cut them out with my scissors.

I added each little ghost and sentiment strip onto the cards using iCraft 3D Foam Squares and a bit of iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive to be sure they will hold on tight and not fall off in the mail. That's it! Three cute and spooky last minute Halloween cards! Have a happy and safe Halloween!
