Whimsy Stamps | Cute and Curvy Card Duo

Hello, hello! I have a fun video today showing two ways to use the new Quilted Rainbow Inlaid Die from Whimsy Stamps! I've also included the new Cute and Curvy Stamp Set and the Calico Paper Pad - a match made in Heaven!

I made two cards using the same supplies, but look at how differently they turned out! I love when you can take a small grouping of products and create different cards!

For one card I cut apart the dies in the Quilted Rainbow Inlaid Die Set so that I could use just the outer scalloped rectangle die. I cut a piece of the Calico Patterned Paper from the die to be my background. All I had to do to finish this card was stamp my images from the  Cute and Curvy Stamp Set, color them, trim them out, and add them to my card with foam! Easy peasy, right?!

My second card is almost as easy! This time I die cut the Quilted Rainbow Inlaid Die keeping both dies in tact. When I die cut a piece of white cardstock I got the amazing scalloped edge as well as stitched rainbow details at the center of the cardstock. I love how subtly awesome it is! I decided to make the stitched detailing stand out a bit more and masked off the outer edge of the card front and blended some orange and yellow ink onto the center to bring out the stitched detail from the Quilted Rainbow Inlaid Die.

I stamped out an image and sentiment from the Cute and Curvy stamp set and added them to my card with foam tape.

I decided to make each of these cards into shape cards. I could easily have added the die cuts to a standard A2 card and have a slight border of the card showing, but I decided to create a card that was perfectly shaped as a scalloped rectangle. It's easy to do this! I cut two additional rectangle pieces using just the outer die from the Quilted Rainbow Inlaid Die - one for each card. I scored them about 3/4" from the top and used a strong adhesive to adhere the card front onto the "hinge" I created on the additional piece of cardstock.

And that's all! You can grab these new products and more in the Whimsy Stamps Shop!
