I love the look of black and white with a pop of color! Maybe today I stretched the definition of "pop" of color, but I don't care! Haha! Rainbows are my jam!
Lately I've been seeing so many talented cardmakers using uncolored images on their cards and I'm obsessed with the look! I decided to try it for myself! I grabbed some of my favorite Erin Lee Creative products and got started!
I started with my rainbow background - I blended a whole rainbow of inks onto a piece of white cardstock and added some drops of liquid shimmer. This gives me a bleached shimmery look!
I stamped a parrot from the Tropical Birds stamp set and die cut him with the coordinating Tropical Birds Die Set. You could absolutely give him some beautiful rainbow coloring, but I'm leaving him white for a more dramatic look! I needed a bit more stark contrast, so I die cut a few triangles from the Triangle Nesters Die Set from black cardstock and popped them up on my blended background with foam and added my Tropical Bird die cut on top.
I stamped "aloha" from the Tropical Birds Stamp Set and white heat embossed it between the Triangle Nesters dies and added shimmer to each triangle to finish the card. See you soon!
